  • We installed universal ipad tablet mounts in our BMW X7. We looked high and low for a good quality mount that would be as flush as possible with the seat back, but also be adjustable to allow for different positions for the tablet. These were the perfect choice and work WAY better than the OEM BMW Travel and Comfort tablet mount. These fit anything from phones and gaming devices like the nintendo switch, all the way up to larger ipads and android tablets. Take a look. I think you'll love them too! And they work on just about any car's headrest. Most chevrolet, ford, gmc, cadillac, subaru, toyota, lexux, honda, acura, dodge, chrysler and other brands. As long as your headrest is held in place by two metal posts, this mount will probably work with your car.

I like the idea but that piece of plastic jamming into the Merino or Sensatec at the top of your seat doesn’t seem good.
Has that been a problem? How far down can you get the headrest before it starts pushing the mount down into the seat top?
I’ve also got the multi contour seats, so want to make sure this fits well and won’t damage my Merino upholstery.

It hasn’t been a problem for us. The headrest will go almost all the way down. Just not the last 1/2 inch. We jays have our memorized seat positions set so that our headrest adjustment location is set correctly

@@NKPGarage Glad to hear it’s worked for you.
At $15, it’s certainly worth a shot. I’m going to order one and see how we like it.
      Thank you.

all fine until you want to lower the head rest - been there had both - universal in back of seat with mini usb c lead way better

Yup. Love the USB c in the seat back. We use it all the time. For the tablet mount we still love these. Never had a need to lower the headrest ever last millimeter. I think this only blocks the last 1/2 inch of lowering range

Looking at several videos, none show a driving test. Would like to see stability.

That's a good point. I will try to get some driving footage of the stability.

Why didn’t you put the other end in first make your life easier. . It doesn’t look OEM and you can hear the build quality is shocking. It’s a massive no from us

It positions the iPad in a much better location than the OEM setup. The OEM bracket puts the screen way too low and too far towards the passenger. This allows a lot more room for adjustment and sits higher. For us, this was better than the OEM bracket. But it’s just our preference. It could be different for others.
