@@americanman8251 that doesn’t even really fit the GW Emperor which I guess makes it even worse. That conversation he had with Vulkan shows his empathy and compassion albeit somewhat coldly, but he wouldn’t have considered them tools. Weird
Thank you brother HvemSkall. The legacy of Emperor will not be forgotten !
@piro3002 Brother, I am saddened by your words probably due to a xenos influence, however I believe in a second chance so that the light of the emperor shows you the truth, the emperor protects!
@piro3002 So if you insist, we will see you in a battlefield the traitor and I hope that you will be my size to face me! With the faith of the god emperor, nothing can stop us!
How ever dark, bleak and grim this world might be it has a little good left in it.
And that good is worth fighting for
It's why the Guard keeps on fighting. Every Warrior, Destroyer, CSM and Mandrake felled is that many fewer people lost later.
I love the narrative this piece tells. The whole history of the galaxy, from the War in Heaven, the Fall, the Unification Wars, the Heresy, the Tyranid's arrival, the Necrons re-awakening, the Fall of Cadia... and then, like the ending of Ragnarok, the Glorious Return of Him as he leads us for one last charge. For we will not go quietly into that howling dark.
WH40k is the best sci-fi universe for the sheer genius of mixing space opera with magic with demons and angels against the backdrop of an interstellar war for survival on 1000 different fronts.
It has Cyberpunk, Clockpunk, Conan, Steampunk and literally every style and genre represented somewhere in it's boundaries.
There are images that I had never seen, incredible work. May the emperor of reward brother!
1:15 when that edit hits. After the sheer depravity of the drukhari and the fall of the eldar; giving rise to slaanesh. You see hope, anathema to the horrors of the warp and all its corruption. You see the emperor and his sons. A glimmer of hope in the darkness of this galaxy. And not ten seconds later we see it be taken away. By the arch traitor Horus. GOD this whole video is such a banger with its editing
1:52 *Scratch Record* *Freeze Frame* “Yep, that’s me. You’re probably wondering how I ended up in this situation”
- Emperor of Mankind
"Oi, humies! I'z got a question for ya: if da Emprah is such a zoggin good warboss, why isn't he krumpin 'eads with ya?"
Awesome. I also really loved the last image of Papa Smurf and Dante, gave a bit of hope to this bleak universe
That's Grandpa Smurf. Calgar is Papa Smurf.
This made me inmmune to Chaos
The Tau had as much impact in this video as they have made on the Greater 40k galaxy…
…Which is to say they had like a whole collective 6 seconds of screen time.
In that case it should basically just be only eldar and necrons lol
@@justsomeogrewithinternetac1494 I mean humanity had at least 20.000 years in the sun. Compared to the Tau which had 5.000. I’m not hating on the Tau, I’m a huge Greater Good fan, and I think them being so relatively new adds to their badassery.
@@comradeconnolly4538 no that's fair. I love tau its just that like, in terms of impact and age, eldar and necrons are around three thousand two hundred fifty times older. 60 million years is a way, WAY longer period of time
@@justsomeogrewithinternetac1494 That’s the point I was making dude.
ah sorry. No, I was just saying that from a pure time perspective that 60 million years is longer than thousands.
perfect i like how you arranged this to be the perfect visualization of the history of 40k starting with the old ones and necrontir and then seeing events the war in heaven and the rise of man and horus heresy.
also where tau
You can see a few fire warriors being slaughtered at 5:05. Truth be told the t'au are fairly insignificant in the story being told in this video, they're just too "new" in a historical sense, and, from the imperial perspective, not really all that important.
Seeing lots of chaos and heresy then the chorus hits and i'm embraced by the shining light of the god emperor
Even with humanity surrounded on all side and slowly being pulled apart humanity still fights, humanity has survived for 10,000 years through the destruction wrought upon it and sure it has it's toll but by the emperor humanity will still fight
Its amazing, for how great it mashes terror with hope giving you ups and downs that hit hard!
BROTHERS!!!! WE HAVE XENOS TO PURGE!!!!!!
Thank you for continuing this project of yours. These videos really get across the "feeling" of 40k. Much
The work that goes into separating the images and placing them at the right time is huge guys, appreciate it, there are many images, and beautiful images. (English)
Even when we are at our lowest, hope, but most importantly: faith, is what drives us forward and makes us strong to fight once more. Even in its darkest hours, mankind will triumph over Chaos and the terrors the galaxy shall unleahs upon us
After the recent shitshow with gw and Amazon it's better to remember the good days and refusing to bend the knee
Better die standing than live kneeling, for the game workshop broke before the fans did.
Gosh please keep making this videos. I've started to read about universe after listening and watching this badass arts. Love to see so much of them in a short time and there is no better song than little dark age for that.
Every picture, official or fan made is amazing and so badass. It makes you feel obliged to pause and take in every picture and just appreciate it all. The 40K universe and lore is so deep and so massive that artist have such rich material to work with and they created such emotions and awe with these arts. I mean just that photo of salamanders saving kids or the one with the girl holding a severed space marine head with another chaos bolter near her head is just so grim dark and truly horrific.
The only little dark age with any right to exist. All the other ones failed to pave this way.
"Ut Imperator benedicat tibi!"
3:20 Now I really want WH40K anime in full Tsutomu Nihei's BLAME! style.
I have never seen much of the art in this, really good
I love everything regarding the Necrontyr in art, it makes sense, that we don't know much about that time but i would love to see more about it.
I think the only "bad" part of this video is Krekkov's art at 3:59, but not because the art itself is bad, but just from how it goes from paintings to a black and white sketch, put me in for a bit of tonal wiplash haha.
Granted the piece fits nicely with the message, a lone woman crying as the angles of mankind are dead, and her next.
I'm pretty sure people stopped for the naked woman being thrown into the fire.
@@death153278 Nah
As long as one (hu)man protects their home, humanity will never be lost.
That last image with Dante and Guilliman speaks volumes of the depth of grim dark in 40k and the imperium considering its Dante's greatest wish to just die already.
Damn, 40k art goes hard
Every man in the world sees this and goes: "Hell yeah"
There is no peace amongst the stars, only an eternity of carnage and slaughter, and the laughter of thirsting gods.
I will forever associate this song with 40k.
"The engine has failed again, call the tech priest."
This is really an amazing video man. If I had to describe Warhammer 40k... what it is all about, what we love about it... to someone... this is the video I would send them.
3:49 goes so fucking hard
2:53 is amazing.
It exemplifies Krieg in a perfect way. The marching faceless men, whose life is to live and die for the emperor and the little child, looking up in admiration, mimicking their movements, he can't wait to give his life away for a man, a god he's never met and never will. Sad af, badass af.
Warhammer 40k, one of the best Sci Fi universes ever created.
God, nothing instills more pride for the human race than seeing the the Emperor of Mankind at his prime, a human, filled to the brim with the indomitable human spirit...FOR THE EMPEROR!
is there physical copies of these picturres because i would totally buy these!
2:53 This is cute and horrible. The cute part, is that Kriegs don't actually pay much attention to the kid who wants to be just like them and who is marching right beside them. The horrible part is that he wants and will become one. What an amazing yet terrifying universe the Warhammer 40k is
Me, a loyalist veteran of the Great Crusade and Horus Heresy, dying as a traitor or xeno blade pierced my breast, in my last moments of life remembering the height of glory we achieved and the anticipation of sweet everlasting victory that once flooded our tongues: I GREIVE IN STEREO, THE STEREO SOUNDS STRANGE
Need one for fantasy now and if the quality is the same as this it'll be masterpiece
Por el Imperio de la Humanidad hermanos!
For the Imperium of Humanity, brothers!
02:02 just so majestic and teatrical, give me the chills
I cannot get enough of Warhammer 40k lore
That's a BIG dark age I'd say.
3:12 litteraly my dude just told the whole story of 40k from the war in heaven, rise and fall of the eldar, the great Crusade, Horus heresy, my dude even got the sabbat wars in there Gulliman's returning and dante being tired, and a whole lot more, All with half the song to go.
this went incredibly hard
A universe this rich, dripping with plot hooks, and I'm positive the 40k show with Henry Cavill will still focus on the Emperor, Roboute, or the Heresy.
I love how the Tau are completely ignored 😂
