G/M Tom - A highlight to my day when I get a notification that you have dropped a new video. Great to watch your pruning techniques and follow your thought process...I always watch your videos a couple of times, first to enjoy your engaging narrative and second/third time(s) to try and document your techniques and tips...Always enjoy your thought for day as they are positive and of course, thoughtful...Love Kandi's pots and wish Jared would resume his Bonsai videos as he was a true wonder...Thanks for yet another. great video...
Thank you Nathan!!! I'm glad that you like the videos - I have more and more fun with it. Jared is amazing as is his wife - I always chat with them at the club sale events. Great folks!
suddenly, as I saw the first tree, Walt Whitman's famous poem "O captain, my captain" immediately came to my mind. I don't know why, maybe it seems like it's giving a military salute and then those lower branches at the base look like the captain's troop. you could call it "O captain" implying (my captain). thank you for involving us in your world... Ciao, Eli
Hello. The title of this video says winter pruning. And have been hesitant to do much pruning since its “ Winter” though I really want to because the tree needs some pruning and I want to…I’m trying to get a better understanding of seasonal requirements for bonsai . I enjoy your videos . And much success to you .
It is winter pruning, but I keep these trees under roughly 10 hours of LED light and temps around mid 70s so they grow all year round. In colder temps, they grow very very slowly. If they are not currently growing and healthy, I would not prune them. Best of luck.

I love it! It's going to be tough to chose one of these and I've only had a few suggestions so far. I love this one.
