I hope he sees your post and thinks about it really hard. That would be great for his or some charity to benefit from. Also, someone would win a great piece of memorabilia with the who's who of racing.
Fun little story about Jamie, i was 10 so in 06 at Sonoma my grandpa bought saturday garage & pit passes, but unbeknownst to us minors weren't allowed in the garage or pits at the time, so me and my grandpa stayed around the outskirts of the pits and garage trying to see drivers and crew guys and Jamie was walking around on the phone and ended up next to us, i asked for a picture and autograph and he said to go to his grange stall and we explained that we couldn't because they said i wasnt old enough, BUT Jamie walked us through the little fence separating general area and garage area and past security right to his stall and took a picture with me and my grandpa, gave me a signed Crown Royal hat and got Dale Jrs crew chief Tony Eury Jr to take a picture with me because Dale Jr was off "Horsing around instead of practicin” as Tony Eury said, security ended up saying we had to leave after like 5 minutes lol so Jamie has always been a favorite of mine and i saw him again at his last race in Sonoma and showed him the picture and he actually remembered,or atleast he humored me lol really good guy and i hope he'll be in the booth soon hes got passion for racing and does a good job with analysis 🙏
Jamie and Earnhardt Jr are absolutely two of my favorites to listen to. They are my age and just make you feel like your sitting there listening to your buddy's talk while your fishing off the pier . . . Great video
That's how I feel about Dales interviews with his family and other people from his dad's team that were from NC but it feels like I'm a kid again at grandma's house listening to my family sitting around talking.
Man I miss seeing Jamie on the track. All of his wins were so special and I remember where I was for each of them. I know I’m not the only JMac fan that misses him. Glad you’re doing well buddy
How can you not love Jamie? Seems like a great guy.. great personality! In my opinion when dale and Jamie raced was the best time in racing history! Early 2000’s was so good!!
I miss the days where I was working on a car in the pits, and I look up and see him out on the track in a modified or a late model. He didn't mention the success he had at the I-70 speedway and he didn't mention his relationships with the people around Kansas City. Jamie if you read this it's ok we still love you here.
I've had nothing but the opposite experiences with Jamie. Such a wonderful down to earth and humble person. I've raced karts with him, talked to him candidly behind the scenes and he's always been the nicest person.
He doesn't seem any different to me now than he was when he raced the short tracks of Missouri. Super nice, super humble, very knowledgeable. And he mentioned my former driver/employer Rick Beebe.
@@beausmith08meet him and make your own opinions about people. Mine wouldn’t be a very favorable view of this guy either but people should see for themselves
@@tritontransport met Jamie before at Pocono, just taking a stroll through track side camping on a Saturday afternoon talking to fans. One of the only drivers besides Mayfield & Michael Waltrip to come outside the track and mingle with fans in a 10 year span of camping at the race.
Growing up as a Jamie fan, he was quiet and not a contender consistently every week, but its so nice seeing how many people respect his opinions nowadays. I remember meeting him when I was 12, was taller than him and was still scared shitless 🤣
I dunno ‘bout that, though. Anybody that can run strong at the Cup level is always a contender. The best can make a bad car work to its maximum potential- his ganassi story is an example of that. When the car was ‘fast’ he was better than necessary a lot of the time; when the car was “average” he often still was in the top 10 or top 5…. Patience and wisdom combined with the ability to drive - like Mark Martin- gets you a 4th or a 7th instead of a 36th cuz you got screwed up trying to pass into 3rd when the car isn’t up to doing what the driver is capable of. That’s what a contender is. 1:30:05 is a roundabout way of Jamie acknowledging that.
I love Jamie, he is one of the best in the booth at the races. I would love to see him in a late model at a cars tour event. Maybe someone should approach him about that. It would show his son that his dad is competitive in a late model. It might help him learn and lead to an opportunity.
While I was working in a sports store in Mooreville NC , I met and served Jamie’s dad! What a neat dad! So proud of his son! He showed me his Indy win ring! Down to earth pops!
I was always okay, (buddy loved you in the CROWN ROYAL CAR) with you winning if “my driver” didn’t win😂. Seriously tho Jamie this video shows the everyday fan what a AWESOME person you truly are! 💯 Love to see you drive soon…
I am so glad a full episode is available on TH-cam to watch. I get so frustrated that it takes forever for a whole episode to be available to watch on Peacock.
I remember that Daytona 500 when Jamie won and Jr finished 2nd and I remember Jamie mentioning it in the post race interview. Something like I knew he was coming and it means a lot because of who he beat.
I worked at a subway in Mooresville back in 04 while going to school at NTI. I loved that job because I met a lot of these guys, including Jaime. I let him know what I was doing and he just asked questions as if he genuinely cared. Then there was a lady who came up and had no idea who he was asking questions where the best place was to get appliances because she had just moved to N. Carolina and he was extremely helpful to her as well. He is just a down to earth good man. So glad I got to meet him!
Dale Jr is the BEST reporter ever. He does his homework and is awesome with everyone he i Interviews. Thank you for every podcast you do. I really enjoy them.
Confession, im not the biggest NASCAR fan, but i have always been a fan of your family. Your podcast hit me from a life perspective, and they are AWESOME!!
I love Jamie McMurray. He was alot better than his stats will indicate. Also love hearing the stories that some drivers are afraid to talk about like Jamie talking about Charlotte. As Jr talks about sometimes. Secure in their careers. Much success to both and appreciate the podcast and convos

When I watch Jr. and Jamie it makes me sad…. let me explain. I Grew up loving nascar in the 70’s 80’ and 90’s. Then in 2000’s and early 2010 I had the great fortune of being part of a team sponsership and hanging with these fellows. Class acts each and ever one of them. I am sorry to say that I have stopped watching NASCAR these days because of the politics and stupidity of upper management. Bad decision after bad decisions has pushed me away. It just has, not trying to make excuses for it because it was all very organic in how it has done this. When I watch this I begin to realize that as for now the whole future of NASCAR seems to be put on hold because what we had with these guys, their teams and the leadership is no longer what it once was… no matter how much some folks try to be optimistic about the future of the sport. That being said, watching these gentlemen talk, their intellect and their professionalism, humor and class just is something greatly missing now. So I am very grateful to Jr. for these excellent broadcasts. Keep it up Jr. makin pops proud!!! Jamie ^5’s
This was such a good podcast.. I never knew much about Jamie because he was getting in about the same time I stopped paying as much attention to nascar as much. really smart guy, and great attitude
I remember watching Jamie race at the I44 track. He was always one of my favorites such a great guy. Carl Edward’s was another one of my favorites who raced at I44.
Me and a couple buddies are sitting by the pool shootin the bull with this episode playing in the background but when Jamie said “Danicas rear end plug fell out” we effin lost it. 😂 No one remembers what we were talking about.

Had a thought. Dale should hang a replica hood in the background. Have all the guests sign it then auction it off at the end of the year.
I hope he sees your post and thinks about it really hard. That would be great for his or some charity to benefit from. Also, someone would win a great piece of memorabilia with the who's who of racing.
