I’m new to clothes designing but I find it so interesting and fun. Your videos are so informative and helpful and still easy to follow for beginners like me. Thank you ❤️
God bless you Pricilliah for sharing what you know with others.... your tutorials are real helping me to become better in cloth making... thanks a lot.
Your the best instructor on patterns I have seen, thanks for sharing your knowledge with us. I use painters tape as it doesn't stick so much on paper. :)
Thank you so much for this video!! I was looking for a tutorial of how to sew balloon sleeves & this was the only video I could follow and understand. You really saved my project! So thanks again
What are the notches for please?? And is it possible to learn how to sew on your own or do I have to go to a school? Also is there anyway I can send you a picture of an outfit that I need a pattern for??
Hi I really need Ur help. I just started sewing. Each time a make a body fitting dress, I find it difficult 2 raise my arms. What do I do 2 d sleeve 2 stop this? Thank you
Sounds like there is little or no ease in your sleeve head. Maybe you can try making your sleeve head bigger by 2cm and then ease that excess into the top of the arm curve.
@@KimDave thank you i will keep that in mind. This is an extended cap sleeve and i want to add fabric to lengthen to a raglan 3/4 length sleeve. How shall i do that?
What is a grain line and how do you determine it in fabric? Been sewing for so many years and never knew what that was lol. Is it the direction of the fibers? I created a bralette for a mini collection for my project runway application, and after we finished shooting, my model was leaning forward and exhaled and ripped the seam of the bralette in the back (I told her she could keep some of the pieces I created and the bralette was suppose to be one of the pieces). Anywho, I noticed at the rip the fibers were going vertical, like the seam. If they were going horizontal, would it not have ripped? (and this fabric is like a really soft, silk like fabric for reference)
On woven fabrics, the grain line is the warp (the longwise threads which are stretched on the loom), i.e. the longwise direction a fabric. The weft are the threads woven across the warp. So the grain line are the vertical threads parallel to the selvage of a woven fabric. In an ideal situation, patterns are typically cut along the grain line because these vertical threads are the stronger threads. Except in scenarios when you intentionally want to cut a pattern on the bias ( 45 degrees off the grain line)
I got most of them from when I was in Uni. But you can find pattern cutting tools online (Amazon, Morplan, Williamgee e.t.c) or in your local crafts shop.

What's the best fabric for a balloon sleeve I have linen
You can use cotton, silk, chiffon, organza. Depends on your preference and season.
Love your video
Thanks you so much god Bless you
How do you do measurements raglan sleeves
How would i take a cap sleeve dress and add this sleeve to it?
For a cap sleeve, you can shorten the sleeves to your desired length and sew into the armhole
@@KimDave thank you i will keep that in mind.
This is an extended cap sleeve and i want to add fabric to lengthen to a raglan 3/4 length sleeve. How shall i do that?
How did you decide how much space to add between the slashed pieces of the sleeve pattern?
It's up to you to decide, as long as its the same across all the panels.

Kim Dave thanks! I'll pay more attention when I'm cutting so I don't end up with rips!!
Thank you very much, you are very beautiful😍😍
Is there a reason for using centimmeters
No there isn't. It's a thing of habit for me because when I studied that's the unit I worked in
Where did you buy your cutting tools please
I got most of them from when I was in Uni. But you can find pattern cutting tools online (Amazon, Morplan, Williamgee e.t.c) or in your local crafts shop.
I love to watch your episodes and admire you very much though I'm not perfect English and I hope I'm watching to translate in Arabic
what is the width of each panel? x
They are 4cm wide each
🌹🌷❤️
she is fine lol
