      I had issues myself when I had to sew the skirt.
      In the the sewing tutorial, I did mention that I cut the pattern in two so I cut have it lay flat.
      This way, you will have two pieces and a centre front seam.
      I hope this helps, sorry for the confusion.

    Thank you for that video
    Here are a few tips
    1 Fold the pleat first then cut off the excess paper.
    2 You could have made 2 panels and cut on fold saving time and paper (but doing all 8 gave u better visual )
    3 since the skirt is already on the bias. The spread of the pleat could be the same distance at the top and the bottom ( 12 cm top and 12 cm bottom )
    I make skirts like this ( did one on Monday ) and these are the tips I use...
    I like your idea with the extra volume .. gonna try...I'm gonna need a ton of fabric

    Great video! But why not just trace over an existing panel, cut out the number of additional panels you want, and then cut open your circle skirt pattern and tape the panels in between the existing panels...? I’m sure that would’ve been much easier, even if you wanted to add a few more cm’s to each new panel. But love your videos, the quality is great.

    • @Sh3phali
      @Sh3phali 4 ปีที่แล้ว +29

      @@Lelitsche Makes mathematical sense, but i think we'd be wasting too much fabric. 2 circles would mean having to buy less fabric. (Also in some cases, i.e. for adults, the double radius wouldn't even fit on the fabric)

    • @klarabjerin8706
      @klarabjerin8706 4 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      @@Sh3phali yeah but you'd need more sewing right? like it would take more time and effort, taking your waist measurement and making it twice as big is probably more beginner friendly. i don't really see how making two circles instead of one twice as big is wasting fabric but haven't done either so maybe that's why it doesn't make sense to me lol

    • @Kick0a0cat
      @Kick0a0cat 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2
