I think it would be better if the gills of the flying type Wooper be like two prongs connected by a membrane like a wingsuit, to make it look more organic and cohesive.
Decided to make little Dex entries for these Fairy Wooper These Wooper were bred to be as lovable as possible. It’s pattern and gills change color depending on how well it’s Trainer treats it. Fighting Wooper This line of Wooper are strong willed, and will protect smaller Pokemon from bigger threats. These Wooper also show immense loyalty to their Trainers. Normal Wooper An ancient ancestor to the modern Wooper and Chansey. They have long since passed away, but it’s relatives still live on. Ghost Wooper These Wooper are vengeful, and seek out those who hurt it. It’s said that scientists perform experiments on this species, trying to find a connection to infinite energy. Psychic Wooper They have opened their third eye, unlocking dormant psychic powers that baffled researchers. They are said to see the truth of Pokémon. Dark Wooper A noturnal breed of Wooper, they mostly are active at night. It uses its gills to attract bug type Pokémon in order to eat them. Bug Wooper It’s ironic to see a Wooper become what it eats. It loves to bury itself in holes to play with other Pokémon. It also enjoys the vibrations that its seekers make. Rock Wooper These Wooper developed a rocky hide similar to that of marble. They love to pose and the positions it makes are said to inspire statues. Flying Wooper These Wooper are thrill seekers. They often jump off of tall trees, and do something similar to skydiving. Electric Wooper With its intriguing typing, it eats electricity from exposed wire. When caught doing this, it will quickly flee the scene. Ground Wooper Now a pure ground type, these Wooper use camouflage to hide from both predator and prey. Grass Wooper It’s said that these Wooper share a symbiotic relationship with a special algae when they are still eggs. The same algae as also been seen in its cells. Ice Wooper A species of Wooper that were forced into the northern regions, and had to adapt to the harsh conditions. They have been seen able to freeze themselves, and are completely fine when thawed out. Steel Wooper Very hardy, these Wooper enjoy both bathing in and eating molten steel. It’s unknown how they are able to do this. Fire Wooper These Wooper have appeared in legends, and was seen as a fire elemental. They live near volcanoes, and are said to be able to exhale fire. Dragon Wooper It’s size is immense, dwarfing even Quagsire. It is said that at a certain age, these Wooper evolve into powerful swamp dragons.
I know Quagsire isn’t as loved as Wooper, but I would like to see Quagsires or a new evolution of each Wooper Edit: I’ve now seen Paldean Wooper’s evolution, and I love it
I love the designs, it’s just the flying type that feels out of place. If the parachutes were more organic or looked like organs and not like a mod added on by scientists and their experimentations. A similar concept to have something that acts like a parachute, just not actual parachutes.
My thoughts on all the Woopers Fairy: definitely a lovable wooper like it's concept and it's one of my favorite types Fighting: good concept,good job Normal: Chansooper, or i guess, woopansey Ghost: I like the shadowy wisp parts of the gills Psychic: another one of my favorite types, i just think it looks great Dark: While I'm not much of a Dark type fan, I think that this one was one of my favorites because it's not evil, but rather a night Wooper. Cause again, how could such an adorable and majestic pokemon be evil? I wish they would actually do this idea or even make a future starter Pokémon inspired by an axolotl! Also the grass & fire types are my favourites, but I love all of them!
We already have mudkip, so another starter based around axolotls isn’t likely; mudkip and wooper cover axolotls, idk how they’d do anything else unique without it looking like a mudkip/wooper clone
once we get the evolution for Paldean Wooper I hope you come up with your own versions, I could see it either being just a Paldean Quagsire or a wholly new pokemon, and both would be very fun
See I like the idea that some could be a variant of Quagsire or adding another/different evolution like Perrserker I think some should maybe stay with a Quagsire spin while should take a more reimagined take on the evolution like the dragon one for example could and should be something completely different as a ruler of all Wooper & Quagsire kind, idk I feel like I'm explaining this poorly... xD
Fighting woopers desgin is really cool, but I think it would've been hilarious if fighting wooper was shaped like a fist. That way, it wouldn't need fists, since it IS the fist.

I came across these three really good Wooper regional forms sometime ago one was an Ice/Poison type that evolves into Newtoxire, another was a Ghost/Water type that evolves into Quagxolt and the last one was a Psychic/Water type with a regional Quagsire from a fan made region called the Agrios region by looking these up to remember them I found another really good one a Psychic/Fairy type that evolves into Labsire
Ashame the ghost type wasn't neon green to referance the glow in the dark axlotls that only appear in labs. But other than that, all these forms were really great and worked amazingly for Wooper.
Or he could have used something even worse, where scientists cut the tails off two axolotls and swap their body parts and fuse them together. This is now only done for aesthetic purposes. Such an axolotl is called an axolotl firefly and is freely available for sale.
The psychic woofers wings covering its eyes could also be reference to a seraphim angel that is described as having six wing with 2 covering it’s head and 2 covering it’s feet
Just wanted to say that you inspired me to start working on a texas based region (cuz I’ve lived there my whole life, it’s hot and kinda sucks I’m getting out of this bonfire asap, also it doesn’t have a name yet and I probably won’t be releasing anything to the public about it anytime soon so don’t ask) and it’s been a lot of fun! My favorites are the bug, psychic, ghost, steal, and original ones. Personally I think the parachute woopers parachutes should look more like big floppy ears than a manufactured parachute, like a flying squirrel.
I like the idea of the dragon type wooper becoming a single evolution Pokémon, it adapted so much to a harsh environment, becoming so strong that it just didn’t need evolution anymore.
I like to think that once the electric type Wooper bites enough cables and gets fully charged, the gills stick straight up like what static electricity does to hair and faintly glow, with the glow being the most powerful at the end of the gills
I feel like it would be interesting if the fairy type wooper had a split evolution, one to go with the broken hearted theme, and one to stick with the original design

Im really late to say this but it fits how every wooper gets the ground type like how the steel one gets it so it is not completely weak to fire because you said it can swim in molten lava I think
I'm kinda incredibly biased here because Wooper is my favourite Pokémon, but I approve of this concept XD The designs were amazing (Fire, Ice and Dragon being my favourites) and I can't help but imagine that none would evolve into Quagsire... Which is wild. Keep up the fantastic work ^^ .P.S.: You just made remember a regional variant I thought for the Wooper line quite a fear years ago: a volcanic dwelling Fire/Poison type that would eventually evolve into a Fire/Water with an ability called "Poison Vein" that acted as a Poison type equivalent for Steelworker (it was never given shape as I suck at drawing though...^^u)

Hey Prag, I would like to know where you learned those things about the Spotted Salamander you used for the Grass type Wooper here. Because that sounds cool.
Love the Woopers but Chansey does not have gills. That's its hair that evokes a straightened flipped-at-the-ends hairstyle much like Happiny's and Blissey's. In a sense, they straightened out Happiny's curl. Even Bulbapedia notes that it's hair-like.
My favourite was the fire type, and I actually don't like fire type that much but it stood out to me with it's colouration of lava, smoke and ash. I also really like the normal and ice ones too! I love the inspiration of chansey and I love ice types too. I also like the inspiration from the flying type wooper, not because it's my favourite type clashing with ice type, but because it can send literal parachutes from its cheeks to glide from is amazing! Great job, hoping to see quagsire ones some point soon...

The Olm, a type of blind cave axolotl was thought to be baby dragons in the past, that could of made good inspiration for the dragon type wooper

I thought I was happy when Gamefreak showed a little love to my woopy Boi by making a Paldean form. Turns out, I had no idea what true happiness was.
Wooper is my favorite Pokemon. Save to say, this is a Master piece. I love them.

Love the Woopers but Chansey does not have gills. That's its hair that evokes a straightened flipped-at-the-ends hairstyle much like Happiny's and Blissey's. In a sense, they straightened out Happiny's curl. Even Bulbapedia notes that it's hair-like.
My favourite was the fire type, and I actually don't like fire type that much but it stood out to me with it's colouration of lava, smoke and ash. I also really like the normal and ice ones too! I love the inspiration of chansey and I love ice types too. I also like the inspiration from the flying type wooper, not because it's my favourite type clashing with ice type, but because it can send literal parachutes from its cheeks to glide from is amazing! Great job, hoping to see quagsire ones some point soon...
