We will be installing off grid 48 volt system in Northern Nevada. The first array for getting power system installed will be on top of a 40'High Cube Container with the equipment and battery bank inside the container. One of my concerns is if we will be able to charge our Absolyte GX 48v/2,000 Amp hour battery bank with the (12) QCell 390 watt solar panels. Your use of two of these charge controllers has me thinking to go with two controllers and double the panels. We are still designing and will begin with our altE Pre-wired Syst, SW4048,CL150, SCP. All we need to power is our 50Amp RV to begin with. Thank you so much for your insight! I have subscribed and appreciate your review of the equipment!
I'm still not sold on the separate charge controllers being a way I would want to go but it's obviously working great for you. Glad to see you got the firmware thing figured out! Looking forward to more videos. Maybe add some dancing girls or something ... 🤣
The reason for the separate charge controllers all comes down to PV high voltage. With the array 420 feet away, I felt running under 250V PV voltage would lead to lost yield. As for dancing girls, I'm getting too old for that. 🤣
@@doczwy8143this just started happening to mine. Only been installed about a week. First two sunny days where it did charge to 100% the code tripped. Mine was tripping over 200vdc at low low light after sunset
Interesting fix. I'd still do the firmware update, it has been 9 months since I installed the first charge controller and the only issue was the false code setting. Since then these have worked flawlessly. Any 500VOC charge controller compared to the EG4 MPPT is more than double the cost per watt of capacity.
Hi Zwy. Do you happen to know where I can get a hold of that cable to update the firmware? I'm getting that F01 error mainly on cloudy days. Otherwise the controller works wonderfully the majority of the time.

Thank you so much for posting I've just installed mine, works good for now.
I had same issue...I set the max charge down and to 80amp and that took care of the problem.

Contact Signature Solar, they will send one out. I think it is still free.
