Loving the more frequent content dude! Keep it up! I've become a very reluctant fan of the P320 platform. Coming from Glock and CZ, I initially hated the higher bore axis, the anemic reset, and its overall felt recoil. However, I found that the TXG module fixed all of my issues with the felt recoil and adding in a 10% reset spring significantly improved the trigger reset. After putting it through its paces in a year of USPSA and other competitions, I've come to really enjoy shooting the P320. It's been 100% reliable after several thousand rounds whereas I have had issues with my stock Glock and CZ P10. My only issue now is the numerous reports of unintended discharges. I know of one instance with an experienced shooter who had a p320 go off and multiple people verified that his hands were nowhere near the holster. If I could do it over again, I'd go with the m18 version, but I'm still happy with my purchase.
Thanks! Having a little “studio” to do talking head stuff in has definitely helped with a more frequent upload schedule. I’m glad to hear you’ve had good experiences with your 320 as well! Hopefully you don’t have the same luck as the person you mentioned regarding an AD
Love mine. P320C in .40 with an Icarus Precision frame, changed the trigger and some internals, have the gas pedal, and I rock my iron sights, much more accurate with them on both pistols and rifles. I think it shoots great. High bore axis doesn’t bother me. High, low, i can make it work. Took my wife to the range for her first time recently, her first time ever shooting and she did amazing. I was actually surprised at how quick she picked and started getting tighter and tighter groupings. Out of 100 rounds at around 10ish yards, she only missed around 7-8 shots. She was scared at first and now she cant wait to get her own gun to go shoot with lmao she’s taken a liking to revolvers, so I’m gonna take her at some point so she can check a bunch out and decide if they’re right for her. But given the amount of research she’s doing, seems like she wants a nice .38 H or K frame.
Just bought a sig p320 & p229 elite. I actually prefer higher bore axis guns. For some reason I can find my sights pretty quickly, but I do notice some muzzle flip but I think the aspect of it being a concern for high bore axis guns is blown out of proportion. Yeah it doesnt shoot as "flat" but to get it to do so you gotta grip it appropriately and not just with your firing hand IMO. I'd be interested if they made a grip module that had a glock grip angle.
As far as I can tell it’s been the holsters that retention is focused on the light instead of the pistol that causes NDs. I need to buy one so I don’t seem so rude when I make jokes about Sig, the two I have shot were genuinely nice to shoot.
I appreciate the review! I think I’m going to try one despite the mediocrity of this platform. I’m issued the M17 and would like to have a carry gun that also helps me stay familiar with the one I’m issued. I agree on your points, one thing under rated is the modularity. It is extremely nice to be able to swap grip modules to something that fits vs holding onto the slick 2x4 grip ergonomics of the M9.

I'm not going to lie, I've been shooting my glock 19 for 8 years and as soon as I shot the m18, I fell in love with it. The m18 has less recoil and your back on target after every round you shoot. So I went out and bought me the m18. I'll be carrying it as my duty weapon.

I was also a tad concerned with the QC coming from Sig and the over priced accessories. However, I never had any reliability issues and zero failures in 4k rounds . I did hock off the gun and acquired a Glock 45.

I got the M18 when it first dropped in Cali and I love it. Your edc setup video was one of the first vids I watched when I started my journey with my Sig and it was very informative. I've shot a handful of Glocks and I am glad I got the M18 instead. The whole high bore axis on the M18 didn't bother me much. For me, the biggest pro Glock has is the mass aftermarket support and how inexpensive it is compared to Sig. Parts are expensive for Sig, but the best thing is the modularity is there! I immediately swapped out to a Brouwer M1811 grip and never looked back. Recently picked up a Norsso ported bull barrel and slide paired with a DPM spring and now I'm even more in love haha.
