It really is difficult to watch a lot of these videos. This is what a lot of us would look like if we tried to get out on a stage and play music when there's darkness in our lives. He had to do it in the public eye and I almost feel bad that I can watch it now but I can't do anything about it.
It's poignant, brilliant and will always be in awe of how masterful he is playing his guitar, beautiful songs, written honestly. Let Perpetual Light Shine Upon Him. As for listening to the audience, just made me wish I had the opportunity to see him live. Thanks for uploading this vid. X
Fuck the background noise love this man though. I watched you from the beginning I'm sorry it ended like this for you. You were an inspiration to me for so many years. I hope your last days were enjoyable regardless of what anyone says because you don't come this far with a substance abuse problema as well as your own and stress the fears of the next day it's your past that always haunt you. So I do hope you were on a good high on your way out rest in peace ✌️ love you man. JTE will always be a legend in my household

You were there? Was this the only 3-4 minutes of the show where he babbled on and on like someone under the influence? I can say that I’ve watched dozens of his performances and nothing compares to how out of it he appears to be at this moment. It’s simply an observation and a futile wish that someone would have done something.

He was a talented guy with a powerful addiction and the Fentanyl mixed with Cocaine killed him. Anyone that messes with drugs today is taking that same chance. He had more money than most of us, and could afford the drugs, so he took them and lost it all. Was it worth it? NO, it never is! I am a lucky one, and he isn’t! R.I.P. JTE

IF you think that having his daughter stumble upon a video of her dad well being her dad is wrong then what do you think right is? Giving her a censored view of it is gonna negatively impact her more than letting her piece it together with all the information when she is old enough to comprehend said things. Sometimes when we think we are helping we can justify things like censorship but in the end that hurts more than it helps.
He had addictions and incredible talent, I just have addiction….. So I thank you JTE for some beautiful songs / music. RIP

I caught just a few minutes of his performance. It wasn't all rambling. He was a delight. Bummed I didn't record all of it, but hindsight is 20/20.
