The Q's Chritmas party is still in full swing... Luke obviously is watching Laura like a hawk because he is there to pick up a napkin she dropped in a mili-second. He makes a cutting remark, then a proposition, ande is beckoned by Alex. Alex follows the Cassedine plant butler down to the basement and there is a confrontation. Alex plays it up for Laura's sake. When Laura picks up the phone to call a cab, Luke intercedes. Conversation in front of room 202.

That little laugh when Laura realizes Luke hoisted the bottle of champagne from the party is the first glimpse of the banter they had when he made her laugh on the run, neat.
Laura's smile when he tells her to wait. Haha She knows she's got him. She's not a little girl anymore.
I love it when good-looking Robert Scorpio makes the moves on Laura and she uses it to make Luke jealous! lol I don't blame Laura after Luke using Alex & other women to make Laura jealous Luke so deserved it! Wow to have both Robert Scorpio & Luke both making a play for Laura at the same time and she uses it to make Luke jealous that's just too funny! lol

Yeah.. Laura really comes into her own during this time period. I think a lot of reasons why we love the "sticky door" era. She truly becomes his equal, and she can give as good as she gets. They really solidify their pairing here for me. They are not running scared, not with each other because they have to be, there is no guilt involved.... good stuff.

Genie looks so stunning in these scenes. She always dressed with such class. I love the last scene when she is listening at the door, hoping he turns around and comes back, and he almost does.
Love the purple dress. Purple is a sign of royalty.
I love the way Luke sends Alexandria the "don't flirt with me" memo right off the get go, and Laura gives her those little sarcastic smirks anytime Luke snubs her off as well. AND when Luke and Laura gives anyone the "if you don't like it, don't look" anytime they're seen together. They knew what they were doing :)!!

Oh the smile! 3:58 Laura''s cut lil' grins that she gives! GF had the most beautiful hair, back in the days of FF and the supermodels that had such amazing hair. Extensions were out, yet not as openly talked about. She looks so pretty with it off to the side, and pinned back. I think, that as young kids, most of us would've liked or wished to have something we didn't. Kind of like a 'fantasy world'; not an obsession like it is today. Since I was in the first grade, I wished so much for pretty hair like Laura. Just like GF : ) . That was my wish!!

Luke opening the door was very cute. When he asked Laura for the Christmas drink he seemed very vulnerable. Make's me smile everytime they are like this together.

Yep. Wardrobe, writers, directors, et al worked very closely to heightened the story. Would love to see the production notes for the various depts. during this era. Listening closely, in the early parts of the storyline and the foreshadowing of things to come is all there. Gloria Monty, for whatever faults she may have had, really did elevate the storytelling.
