- Part 290 of L&L 79-80 playlist. 1980 Luke and Laura arrive back at the Whitakers farm. Mrs. Whitaker knows who they are... Luke and Laura Spener (? not quite), Luke calls and talks to Joe to get an update about what is going on in Port Charles. Luke and Laura are happy..... something ominous looms!

This is where Luke, Laura and their kids should have ended up after taking care of Frank Smith in 93. Retire here and raise their family. I still believe the Luke we knew in 1981 would have been happy here. If he needed adventure, he could have become a WSB agent and helped solve crimes when needed. Laura and the kids would have been safe here. Once the kids were grown, Laura could have joined him on many adventures. No rewrites or added kids and affairs necessary.
So glad Joe & Luke finally understood each other. They had a pretty cool friendship. :)

GH is about to come on today, and I'm oohing again because Luke should be on. Why can't Laura find him drinking? OMG! How can I still get weak-knee'ed about this man 34 years after? GO AWAY, Tracy! Geez already!!!
Joe is such a sweetheart. Can't wait for this next chapter.Will miss the Whitaker's. Thank you so much for sharing these Suss. I have watched a few times now.It never gets old. 💖

Yeah I love Joe Kelly too he was a great character.... Back when we used to have a lot of great characters!

..if people are interested I am obviously willing to share... I had a request for the sticky door era you mention a while back and was considering posting after a short break (maybe a week) when this s/l is finished... but having a hard time deciding where this one ends and the next begin.. it is much more integrated than story arcs these days.
