not only did you tell me how to get best fps possible within 5 minutes, youve also explain concepts that i didnt really understand before. Good job man
yerp 😂😊❤
@@Obsidian___Gamingmore fps = less input lag, the best thing to do is to cap at around 90% gpu usage.
@@lilililiililili6363 do you really think that's worth the suffering of your 0.1% and 0.01% lows?
@@footballnations9522 1% lows are fine if you have a good ram and sufficient hardware
@@footballnations9522 doing a high but not unlimited cap like he said fixes that
DONT put it on unlimited, you need stablility not inconsistency , but you should put your view distane higher
@@LegendZzFTW finally a commenter that knows how this stuff works!
bro did not watch the video
Not completely true.. If you're using Nvidia reflex on + boost you should set your fps to unlimited for the best latency along with fps stability.
lol watch the video one more time
Mostly if you're on AMD GPU
Keep reticle ammo indicator on!!! As far as I know, there’s no way to tell which magazine of the twin mag you’re on besides the indicator, unless there’s another visual aspect I’m missing
He said to keep it on in the video
Insta clicked cuz never been dissapointed by sly jack
So tru
i insta killed my self when i saw u
stop glazing
The glazing is crazy
bro the master of glaze
Depending on the screen, and even with a high refresh rate, uncapping the Fps quite often causes tearing and suttering, something you really don't want to have.
Well of course, but you get more FPS and less input latency, that's the point, everyone in comp Fortnite wants this setting turned on especially if u have reflex which eliminates the stutters
@@xmdani4165finna still used capped i dont care about that 0.1 latency difference
Testing is flawed. Dx12 is better for CPU bound scenarios. Almost anyone who has a GPU from the past decade can be CPU bound with the right settings. When you are testing, you were gathering data during games with 1-2 players, which does not allow for DX12 to shine when it comes to parralel computing. In a real game, you will find that while moving with a lobby of actual players, DX12 will outperform PM on average (outside of mega city) reducing your latency.
* in addition to mega city
Still, PM>DX12 in visuals, I dream of the day when Epic would actually make it possible to enable DX12 for PM and not have animations for everything.
Also, the game itself is pretty poor with multithreaded loading, better than CS:GO that runs on DX9, but still hugely benefits from pure performance per core.
@@deblxdee This is very true! One day.
@@deblxdee I would like to see that aswell
@@deblxdee real
I'd recommend not to use in-game fps cap, but instead use RTSS (It comes with MSI Afterburner, the installer would ask you if you want to install it), it would work on any GPU, be it nvidia, amd or intel, it provides the best input latency by having the lowest frame times possible.
I've been using it with Reflex On+Boost for a while and it's great, the only time I have bad FPS is when rendering the whole Mega City.
Also, using fps cap can reduce heating, resulting in longevity of your hardware.
this will give you lowest frame times but will add 1 frame of delay
so...capping ur fps is good for your pc?
@@thehumoriority2859 I'd say for fortnite as long as your pc isn't getting too hot just leave it uncapped 👍
@@blakethenoobie1433 why would you leave your fps uncapped. just cap it to your monitor's refresh rate.
@@Kcryzxit lowers input delay with nvidia reflex, he explains in the video.
Love your stuff sly jack. I was wondering if you could make an updated optimal binds video with joystick movement. I just ordered one but don't know the best places to move stuff around with 4 new keys open but no thumb.
Nice video, the information that you give help to understand why you choose a specific setting
this deserves a like bc not only did he explain what he says in the title, he goes way in depth to make sure that even someone building a computer and trying to learn at a young age can very easily understand. props man.
Capping refresh rate to your monitor is not for lower latency, its to have a more consistent input delay that doesnt fluctuate so your muscle memory can fine tune. Muscle memory is harder when the input delay is changing from lower to higher all the time, less consistency brain no likey.
great point
+unlimited fps skyrockets ur temps on any game
Not true, battlenonsense did a video on this that proves how much more input lag you get with uncapped, capping it does make it more consistent but it also LOWERS it by a ton
Straight up nonsense❤
btw if you guys have amd gpu you get better performance in dx12 then performance mode (go into files and change building mesh)
ouuu. so i heard sb say dx11 was better for and then performance but na u sayin dx12 so imma test between both. but im wondering how do i change the meshes
i have never paid more attention to classes this is better than my classes
Whenever I cap my fps I cannot go over 80/180 fps, when I leave it on unlimited I never go below 230
U earned a sub man great video i wasnt using the proper nvidia settings thx Brother In shaa allah u will do more better in the future
tysm man. i went from an unstable 100 fps to 200+
i play on mac using geforce now and you just helped me so much to get better settings for a better performance, much love
Please do not use unlimited use capped I thought everyone knew that
Got a refurbished SFF PC this summer (no special GPU just good ole Intel) This video REALLY helped 💯
Important ! Sometimes it is not a good idea to put reflex on. For me it causes 20+ms frame times meanwhile without it i get under 1ms ( u can try by opening the geforce overlay and open advanced fps )
do you have high end or bad pc? (when is it better to turn it off?)
@@vaooch8687when you are cpu bound. it is best to leave reflex off because the cpu has to do faster render queues which may cause worse problems when cpu bound. so tldr; turn reflex off
I have a Intel 7 9700F and a rtx 2070 so i guess i'm cpu bound? @@RuddPH
@@RuddPH 👍
Could you make a video on optimal key binds for MaaxStick players?
unlimited will make ur pc run hotter js
genius as always, Sly
Good video, but I got to say that you should investigate a little bit more about nvidia reflex because it isn’t always good to have it + enabled or not even enabled
He said everything that needed to be said, it just makes ur gpu work harder, its just like sprinting while on the rails in mega city, it will make you go faster (in this case your computer) but for a while.
@@theo328d Nvidia reflex can cause fps drops on cpu bottlenecked pcs
capping your frame rate at any number. liiterally any number gives lower latency. just the fact its capped give less latency even with relfex on.
These helped me so much I went from 144 hz to 400 - 300
u mean fps u can't go from 144hz to 400 300
Shut up what do u mean 144hz to 300. U dont even know bout pcs lol
@@gregoryfumberbard2211 yes u can u just need a new monitor
@@gregoryfumberbard2211it’s a joke fuck wit
nuh uh
i used nvidia on + boost uncapped fps for one month and got way more frame drops than capped
exactly, bro is just bullshitting. Just use your capped fps. If you exceed the limit of your fps, you'll get drops plus using boost. Don't take tips from him. That isn't how FPS in games work, frames are meant to be capped at it's suggested specs based on your monitor and hardware.
Fortnite has bad 1% lows and .1% lows. Capping your fps near those numbers brings the smoothest gameplay.
cause uncapped hits cpu 100% load and stutters appear. this video is junk.
Damn thanks! I mean I understood a little bit of all this before, but video is so well made!
What about AMD users who dont have Nvidia reflex + boost?
When i dont cap my framerate my game freezes so much
Cap your frames at what your monitor and hardware can handle, don't fall for the misinformation.
@@yurdomost people arent good with tech at all. Probs not misinformation, just forgot to turn a setting on. Or his drivers are out of date.
why do you sound so zesty
BROOOOO went from 110 fps to 290fps and have 0 delay
0:52 Starting from the bottom now we're here
coil whine is a problem for my pc when I use 360fps+ unfortunately.
This happen on every pc
yeah its not that bad for me
Finally a person that gets straight to the point and also explains why in simple words.
when i uncap my fps and use nvidia low latency on + boost it feels alot more raggedy and lower fps like i dont know why is there any reason? when i cap it though it feels alot more stable and clean but it feels like i have more delay
this video was very helpfull but i cant get over 100 fps in tournaments with dx11 meanwhile i get over 200 with performance mode
very underrated youtuber
I cant switch to dx11 from perf mode anymore . Can u help me ? What should I do ?
I have done everythink but windowed fullscreen and capped fps's are better for me
my game is so much smoother with old settings
why do I have performance lower graphical fidelity not performance beta?
We all have performance lower graphical fidelity
Battle nonsense did a bunch of testing on input lag and uncapped is really bad compared to capped
dead ass this helped a lot thanks :)
Nice video and all but what about amd?
I can’t lie i have more edit delay in fortnite w performance mode then DirectX11 lmao :) any idea how that’s possible?
Don’t use unlimited, cap your fps where it stays stable as high as possible. If it’s higher than 360 stable use Nvidia control panel to cap it
no way blud came back for a round 2. thanks for the tip tho
messed up my fps, now having drops and worse then before
Hey i know this is a lot of nvidia but i need to cap my fps on amd. if i dont cap it my game will start lagging
Theres literally no difference between on vs of with with reflex ok performance mode tho bc the game is always cpu nomatter what, so its actually better to have it off on performance mode
What about high vs low audio quality?
very nice video!
didnt know that performance mode just use your old dx 11 settings
when i switch to performance mode and restart my game it switches to directx 11
I Get about 1000-1100fps and a 240hz monitor so i just cap it at 360fps
wait so can u put ur game back to performance mode after u change the settings in dx11
so since in got a 165 hz monitor so would not capping it be good
Nah but fr u are the one content creator of fortnite everyone needs!
i cant put fortnite on full screen bcs then i get black bars on the sides and i onlly have 2 reolution options and they are boat badd
Im not thinking right now. So, what does he mean by uncapping your FPS? I understand everything else but that. Im slow right now sorry.
i have less fps on performance mode cuz i know that performance mode uses the cpu more than the GPU but for me my gpu is way stronger than my cpu, i have 100fps mor on directX 11 and less lags than with performance mode
Low latency on plus boost uses the gpu more instead of cpu 😂
Maybe you should just follow the video 😂
@@caxx.g doesnt change the fact that i have less fps in performance mode and i didnt say anything else.. idk what ur on about mate
why motion blur off and what is the performance difference between far and epic view distance?
motion blur makes looking around fast very blurry, so you pretty much limit how fast you can play if you turn it on. (turn it off). And view distance should not be more than medium as you wouldnt need it and you would save fps.
when i use preformance mode it makes skins and things very hard to see ik that it gives fps boost but when i see other ppl using preformance mode it dosent look like mine for some reason btw when ppl use preformance mode it locks the meshes to high? but mine dosent could that be the problem
Yo i am kinda late but... Why i am having a low gpu AND cpu usaget only in fortnite and slight fps drops? I5 13600k and 3080ti.
what if i have nvidia dlss should i take that off too?
Nvidia low latency control panel in ultra same??
i hate having a amd
i can play on full screen half my monitor is black for some reason
dx12 on amd cards
youre an angel god bless you bro
he's a hero he saved my frames

ON+BOOST stutters, ON is enough
most usefull video i found jet thank you !
If i don't cap my fps i go to 500 and my pc sounds like a ps4😂
Do you know why when I apply DX11 and restart my game it switches back to performance mode?
its in settings
Can you help me out? I have an i9 10900k and an RTX 3090, and getting low FPS on performance mode 1080p (200-250 fps)
thats not low if u have a 240hz monitor than it doesnt matter. If you have a 360hz than yea its an issue

can someone help me, i have a problem with the dx.11, whenever i try to put it back on dx. 11 from performance mode and restart the game it just stays on performance mode
same i need help
Nope let your game render.
It’ll lag a lot if you enable reflex latency
Yo i went from like 200-300 fps to 700💀
Wow thx🔥

use radeon anti-lag :)
i need vsync or else i get screen tearing

whenever i try switching to dx12 then restart its still on performance mode after i restart
Mine is doing the same
I found the fix its because you have read only checked in the fortnite game user settings. You can Google search why it's not changing n find the fix on how to do it
Set 3D to 0% it's looks like 100%
it dosent let me go to direct 11 the game automatically stays on performeance mode even when restarting the game, wat do i do?

Performance Mode on AMD Cards is nearly unplayable, since the Card automaticly is putting down the clock speed if not needed. For AMD Cards ALWAYS use the dx12 or if you have bad Cards the dx11 mode
I have 30fps on d11 and 100 on Performance? 😂
Are u sure bro i have a 6600xt and my fps always goes down if i switch ti dx 12

@@necrolord5799 No, you can Play Performance Mode Aswell if you have the newest drivers
DX11 has actually been giving me huge stuttering.. Which is unusual.. I have a core i5 4670k so dx11 is usually the better option in general as i dont have much cpu power i can't really utilize the benefits of dx12 and its ability for better computing and higher draw call stuff. i have an rtx2070 super so yeah my cpu is a bit far behind for what i have but i play games at 1440p in other games the gpu horsepower really helps compared to my old 1060. Huge gains in dirt rally 2.0 even at the higher resolution for example. I should upgrade cpu but its just im not rushing into it just yet. All games i pretty much turn off reflex if its an option as its been holding my frame rate back a bit and it just feels weird. I have a vrr monitor and games i play dont usually run over 100fps nvm 144 for the refresh rate lol. I know it sounds poor but im used to lower frame rates. So having over 60 for me its a god send but if im to play BR games 80 is usually the starting point i need preferably more but i've noticed as my system stays the same its the games that are getting worse for performance requirements. What was once recommended when the game came out is no where near close enough for a good experience few years down the line. Multiplayer games mainly. Hell i ran fortnite at high settings on a gtx480 once when that game was new. im medium high low settings now with a freaking rtx2070 super on the same god damn map..
A 4670k with a 2070 super? You really need a new cpu. Something like a 13th gen i3/5 it’d help a lot
YOOOO my old computer has that cpu just got a new one.
Need a new CPU man.
