I had a brand new 1975 Firebird Esprit. It was a lighter silver than the model. Loved it, but got married and 5 years later, we started to have kids and had to find something more practical. It was a beauty!!
the color and wheels combined with the car and the details gave more elegance to the body

Pontiac Transam my all time favourite from 1982.
Looking at all those older castings at the end was so cool. I have ALWAYS been a fan of older Matchbox/Lesney. Those big fat tires and suspension. They weren't as say "fast" as Hot Wheels, but they looked so good and the suspension gave them some wild jumps and landings. GREAT VIDEO TOO BTW, AS ALWAYS.

20:00 Thats the BEST LOOKING engine ive ever seen on a HW!!! Actually has rocker covers and pulleys/belt(s) well detailed in the casting!

I collect Firebirds, Camaros, Vetts, and Chevelles. As well as many more. I have several of those Trans Ams. You did a remarkable job on this one! Your friend should be quite happy!
Ah that is beautiful absolutely gorgeous! I love it. The colour suits it and I like that it’s so simple, you haven’t done any over the top with the colour scheme. The interior looks good as well. And the wheels looks good on it. It brings me back to my childhood. I had a black one with the bird printed on the bonnet/hood.

@ 21:59, the Jeep 4x4, I found Mint in Pkg in a lot off eBay. Back when I was not disabled and was still big into hunting.
That Jeep is still one of my best finds. I LOVE 4x4's, big knobby tires, and like other older models, SUSPENSION.

Several nice castings here in various scales and good bones with tons of potential..
When I was a kid this was my fav toy car due to the Phoenix decal on the bonnet/hood. I remember dropping it down the toilet & crying till Dad fished it out. Mine was red.

I own 6 Firebird's/Trans Ams (78, 80, 82, 89, 97, 99) As well as thousands of Pontiac Diecasts. Yes this was a color changing matchbox, I have 2 or three of the color changer matchbox. Love your videos.

Looks almost real! Yeah that was one of the Matchbox color changers, I had the same car. It was one ofvthe best color combinations as well.
Wow. That looks very like the '89 Firebird my father didn't buy when I was in high school. He bought the same year Camaro instead, because the Chevy dealer offered him a slightly better deal than the Pontiac one, and to his mind, they were the same thing. :)

Sorry for another comment. I don't mean to clog up your comment section. But I have a Auto World Firebird, and it has the same aesthetics and "accessories" as yours. But your paint is so deep and clean. Very nice car. That's a top end job.

Hi Rob! Wow, veeery nice work there! It looks almost 100% like my old (died) Firebird back in 2004. The model will have a nice, warm and dustfree home soon! Now i can remember my first carlove every day! Thanks again for your work and when finally corona is over, i will keep my eyes peeled for Matchbox cars on our flewmarkets. All TA and GTAs had them from 1987 to 1992 in different colors.

Awesome transformation, Rob! I think the Firebird/Trans Am always looked better than the Camaro. Very common to remove the 305 V8 and put in a 383 stroker; which is a 350 bore and a 400 crankshaft. Pretty fast cars.
One of my favorite cars of all time. Growing up with knightrider on tv could be the reason ;) actually like the original looks more than kitt. Specially this one before the formula. Great !

I had a Pontiac 6000 in the same color as the Firebird, mine also was a gloss finish, not metallic. Beautful job, Rob. Steve's gonna love it.

That Pontiac looks really great. By the way I would love to see you doing something with the oddly shaped VW Beatle because I can smell a good customization to it as well as the Peugeot 205 which is also pretty bizarre at its shape. Keep it up mate.
Nicely done i have 1984 pontiac trans am that im restoring at the moment and that on the hood is the ram air part of the hood

Wow, great job here again! There is no need to even lower this one as you mentioned as the stance is just about right. Just a point, the original Firebird SE did not have amber lights in the tail lights.. they were all read. If you went for the Formula one in the late 80's early 90's you got the amber lights, but it had a different nose by then as well. Otherwise, a wonderful redo!
Hi. The casting is a replica of my 89 Firebird. 85-92 base Firebirds and Formulas had the amber turning lights. Thats also the point why the CIH had to go.
