Rob, the wheel choice was just fantastic I love it, and the custom job on it was great. You are correct the Lamborghini window unit was an after market one, I think I sent you one or two in a previous package as you were bemoaning the fact they were always broken on the ones you had received. ;-) Glad you found quite a bit in the package that you think you can use for future projects.

Your welcome, and I'm glad you are OK. Oh and the wheels for the Lambo were off a Cars model, the Sheriffs car If I remember correctly. A random charity shop find which sometimes revels some treasure.

Good to have you back! The Fiero did come with 2.5 R4 "Iron Duke" and the 2.8 V6 "LB8", no V8 unfortunately. I have 2 or 3 "Schweppes" Firebirds! Its an honor that you're thinking about me everytime you find a Firebird! :-)
Glad to see you back. Always good to have some time off. I really like the candy brown over black. The wheel choice looks very appropriate for the car, a modern look on an older car body. The red contrasts well with the color choice.

The red wheels give it a batman villain feel, for me. I'm happy to see you back, and hope the downtime helped you recharge. It also gave me the opportunity to go back and check out the videos I hadn't got around to seeing. It's nice to see how quickly you progressed in these restorations and that you continue to experiment. Love it!
Finally!!! Thank you for coming back. Understand that you need a break. So wonderful 240 D became. The wheels fit perfectly. Looked at my A-team van from Greenlight. Hope you come back with more videos soon. You have many cars in your collection.
I had a few of Mercedes in this specific colours when I was a kid and it always puts a smile on my face when I see a diecast I had being restored. And a unboxing is always a bonus. Welcome back btw!

Nice to see you back. Excellent work as always, I didn't think the wheels looked that good to start with, but with that brown and the way you lowered it as well they look absolutely perfect.
Good to see you back! I followed a very similar path customising this casting, mine was even the same colour to start with. Couldn't get it as low as I wanted so ended up making my own base in the end. I went for a candy red over gold, with gold wheels. Would be great to see them together on the shelf

We had one of these when I was a kid! Slightly different year and model (gas engine), but that body style brings back fond memories. Ours was chocolate brown, just cant imagine that original blue on a real car. Great vid and nice results.

Great work Rob, love the color and the wheel choice. Gives it a bit of an upscale gangster feel. Personally I might have flipped the tires to get rid of the white letters, but still it looks great.
I absolutely love cars like these. My daily is a 1988 bmw 528e and it’s a us spec due to me being an American. It’s such a tank. Old German saloons are the best daily drivers in terms of classics even here. I want to get an old Toyota or Nissan sedan to match it up someday, but that will have to wait.

A girlfriend back in the day bought a brand new one in 1985, the 2M4, a red one. Not much power but corner like a slot car. Pontiac went on to make a six cylinder version 2M6. The interior room is astounding, I could wear my Stetson cowboy hat while in the car. (yes, cowboy hat) .

Rob, you actually are a pro. Everybody that does these has their own twist on it. For what you do and the way you do it you are a pro. Got to be honest, I don't really like the red Wheels. The rest of the car came out beautiful. It's sits perfect. Great unboxing. A lot of nice little cars. Take care and stay safe.
Excellent colour for this era MB. I love it. The wheels are a great addition. The new camera does take some time to come in to focus. I really noticed it on the carousel footage.
The Field Car has a vaguely familiar looking Studebaker grill. The Fiero came with 4 or 6 cylinder engines although you can swap a v-8 in. The Northstar Cadillac engine is a popular swap candidate. You should do a run of the open wheeled cars. I would enjoy seeing that!
That Jenson would be quite the challenge. Go for it!!

It looks lovely, but I think it could be even better if you painted it like the "Red Pig" racing car then the tires would look nicer.

The wheels look great! I think if you didn’t lower the car the wheels would look odd but because it’s lowered it looks great!
Hello, Rob. I've got one of those Huawei 2.0 pro phones, and the camera is superb - probably the best I've ever had. I like the phone - I got a new phone last year, but went back to the old one after a few weeks. Your new camera has quite a brutal focus on it.
I wonder if there is an aftermarket camera app that I can use 🤔
Great car. Could have been the black one from Octopussy driven by Steven Berghoff as a Soviet, or the darker blue one used in that series of Car Insurance adverts (the name escapes me).
I think Ryan O'Neal destroyed one in the movie "The Driver" with Bruce Dern playing the policeman trying to catch him. O'Neal's character takes it around a multistorey carpark, when the bank robbers doubt his driving capabilities, he orders them to "get in" before smashing it off walls, pillars, stopcock taps and the runs it under the gap of a lorry trailer.
Maybe the wheels would suit a Magnus Walker 1971 Porsche 911 or later 935, but worth making something leftfield. I would be tempted to use later Matchbox wheels with the larger hubcaps or HotWheels "Aero" wheels
I'd love to see you do the Pontiac Fiero in red that would be an awesome idea for a restoration.
The whizz wheels VW had a flower sticker over the top of the hole as they used the same casting for the police car
Ive got both Jensons..the donor car has complete glass..in need of polishing..my main car has complete glass aswell..so if you're interested..they are both Lesney..but same cast i expect
I definitely see like to see the Jensen in interceptor done is a Christine type situation where comes back to life that would be really cool if I don't have one in my collection but I can look for one I'm sure anyways I got something coming to you shortly that you'll really love

Ive got 2 Jensons...one a Lesney and a later whizzwheels...which I acquired at Boot sales...I have to make one good out of the 2..but I reckon the glass is good on both...As much as I moan about you getting loads of freebies...I will gladly send it to you
