- Often in the Quran Allah teaches us profound lessons through beautiful parables. In this khutbah, Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan digs deep into two such analogies in Surah An-Nur by contrasting light with darkness. He begins by explaining the many meanings of the word light (nur) when it is used in the Quran: light sometimes refers to Allah, to guidance or to the Quran itself. Like a lamp in a niche inside a house, the light of faith and sincerity to Allah not only lives inside our hearts but also emanates from us to illuminate our path on the Day of Judgment.

this whole thing was so unnecessary because for one, it is his private life, private conversations. It really souldn`t be even called scandal or be written about so much. I wish things go back to normal very soon and that he doesnt end up being afected negatively by all this. I am disappointed at the way this case is treated, pictures circulating, exacerbating whole thing. I wish people would mind their business. where is our adab, soo required by our faith, where are excuses we should make for eachother? etc etc
Many things he said made me say "guilty", "hmm guilty" "so guilty" Subhan'Allah idk what to think anymore, I am so scared of this "a seed of arrogance won't enter jannah" hadith... it is so easy to think you are better than another... but then he's right Allah has given us all the "tiny bit of light that let's you see"... I absolutely love the light upon light khutba, he's talked about this topic in a huge convention before... good to hear it again. Alhamdulillah for all these humble people studying and guiding thru the guidance they've received. 🙏 💡📖

Alhamdulillah .... this speech is so deep and I see my thirsty soul taking every word as a drop of hope and learning!!! And it's a thirst that isn't easily quenched. Alhamdulillah! The environment in which I live doesn't favor my Imaan, I don't live in a Muslim country.. it's totally opposite, but by Allah's Mercy I have reverted to Islam, SubhanAllah .... and I got the help from my husband for that ( May Allah rewards him and gives peace upon his heart) ... Brother Nouman Ali, may Allah reward you for your words. They put me in tears. May Allah give me strength, guide me, and help me to increase this light which is His mercy. May my heart and mind be humble and submissive, and never become proud in any way that puts me above the plans of Allah... In Islam the more that you learn, the more you realize you must to know and to learn better and still it's not enough. You need to break down in the most humble and purest way daily.... Thank you!

My entire life I never knew wat & how a khutbah was coz at my country here females don't really go to masjid (but I'd love to go) 😢 but this Baiyyinah channel uploading khutbah every Friday wow filled me with comfort & happiness 😊 but I really wanna hear him every week 😭( one khutbah a month ? Female can absolutely go to jumma prayer if she wants but it's not mandatory on us. I don't know where you lives but I never missed jumma prayer alhamdulillah those khutba make my heart clean n soft.
There are many khutbahs he has given already on youtube and lots of other videos as well, you can find them and watch them.
Iffath R There are other videos of Nouman Ali Khan giving khutbahs so you can also watch those on TH-cam. 🙂
You should also listen to Mufti Menk's khutbas. Look him up on TH-cam. You will like him aswell.

With all they have to go through, it is truly awe inspiring to see old men running in an honor of righteous lady who lived thousands of years ago between Safa and Marwa.
Maasha Allah. this is a very good reminder. very scary concept for those of us that think we are guided, but have no idea whats stored in Allahs account when we get there. man it is very scary. may Allah Grant us all the sincerity to be good Muslims. Amin.

A couple of years ago, I heard this khutba at Revival of Islamic Spirit in Toronto. Today I was thinking of this lamp analogy that I remembered but I couldn't find the video online anywhere as I wanted to re-educate myself on this story. Finally, this popped on youtube before I was finally going to sleep. THIS IS AMAZiNG.

Long ago in an introduction to a Quran translation I read that "Quran is like an ocean of potable water. How much you can drink is up to you." And how true this analogy is. Every single time I read Quran or I watch clips like this I learn something new from Quran (thanks to people like NAK and other asatid ol Islam). I am deeply touched.

Let me give you a simple logic- Whatever brings you nearer to Allah has to be good and the opposite is bad and there's no doubt about it. This man inspired me to get nearer to Allah and so I can testify that his teachings are good. I don't need to listen to rubbish.

( إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَمَلَائِكَتَهُ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا صَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ وَسَلِّمُوا تَسْلِيماً) سورة الأحزاب Verse 56
