what about rain/weather resistance? does it give some protection or water seeps in from the top where it fold? just wanted to know your post installation experience. as i would be installing this weekend.
Mine is for a 2024 Tundra with rails. I have 4 of the pull down clamps but 6 bolts hanging down. Any Suggestions? I bought mine from Xtweex and not good directions and explanation of parts
I have 4 pull down clamps and 6 bolts also. The 4 clamps go on the 2 sections closest to the tailgate. The 2 bolts closest to the cab have a different clamp and a screw on round knob instead of the “pull down clamps”. I hope that helps some!
My brand of choice is Diamondback Covers. I have the HD model on my F250. All aluminum that supports 1600 lbs. I can haul four wheeler, lumber, drywall etc. on top. I got its for its security - You're not getting in with anything short of a grinder or plasma cutter. The only drawback - They're not cheap...
Oh man, that cover sounds awesome. I would love to have one like that but it wouldn’t fit my budget. I really wanted a Leer camper shell but those start at $4,500 I believe and that was more than I wanted to spend at the moment. It is very true that you get what you pay for in life, but so far I am thrilled with this one considering the price point.
You can install it without using quick clamps. You would just need to be extra careful to not bump it or have someone help hold it so it would not move
I have had these before for a truck I owned. I would never own one again. Just wail till your first good hail storm. You will have more divots in the nice flat surface than a putting green that had 200 hundred people running around on it for an hour or so. That was with a trifold that costs about $800.
I’m sorry to hear you had a bad experience with one. Hail can be devastating to a lot more than just a bed cover. I personally would be more worried about my windshields and paint job
I got this same cover and I…. Love it!
It took me about two hours to install. HOWEVER, it really doesn’t take that long if you know what you’re doing.
I love mine also. It sure isn’t a bad install. They really designed it so anyone could knock the project right out!

It is completely sealed around the edges and where it folds. I have not had any water get in the bed so far. I am very happy with the cover.

@ would you mind sending a photo of the ones closest to the cab? Thank you!

Can you swing by and install mine 🤦♀️
Thanks for the video
Seriously though, what if you don’t have clamps to hold the bed cover in place?
