      The injury Embiid sustained last year will never go away, just as the one that came before it on the same knee never went away. The first likely enabled the second. With the meniscus tear, they're removing the torn portions each time. He is permanently injured for the rest of his life. And yes, if the 76ers intend to use him, there is no possibility that they can do it without limiting his minutes. This is not a matter of preventing injury. It is a matter of working around permanent injury. And so they have to choose which minutes he plays, because his body will never be able to handle what it used to. That cushioning in his knee is gone and will never come back.

    Instead of leaning into load management, why aren't these players/teams leaning into more advanced conditioning? this is just giving future players an out to not play their contract. It's pathetic. It's one thing if your body is hurting mid season to opt out of back to backs, but to say that before the season even starts? why have you been doing all summer?

    It's pathetic. NBA player salary should be attendance based. Divide the yearly salary by 82 and cut their pay by that amount each game they miss. For injuries a neutral league team of doctors should evaluate the severity and determine if and when a player is fit to play. There's plenty of guys out there who'd love to play for free, so it's disrespectful to the game and to fans for guys to sit out and get paid.

    Embid gets criticized for not beinh healthy coem post season so it makes sense for the team to have a plan to save him for that period. Having said that Load Managemnt has't worked well for Kawhi so there's no reason to believe Embiid won't get injured anyway in the games he does play.

    This is what separates players like MJ and Kobe, from the rest. The winning mentality, willingness to do whatever it takes to win, no matter the cost. Most people don’t have that in them, and I think Embiid is someone who does not have that in him 🤷🏻‍♂️

    Embiid understands he just has to get in the playoffs healthy. Right now, the 3rd seed in the East would be the 6th seed in the West. Philly is good enough without Embiid, to make the playoffs/ play-in. Embiid doesn't want to end up like Harden or CP3, guys who have great regular seasons, and ultimately end up hurt in the playoffs and struggle.

    Not a fan of load management at all and lost a lot of respect for Kawhi Leanord for it but in Joel Embiid's case due to the fact that it was a process of coming back from injury at the start of his career and he has been trying to stay healthy ever sense I think his load management is justified and necessary. Load management is not a bad thing it is necessary if it's honestly needed the problem is too many athletes take advantage of it. If you are a true NBA fan then you know Joel 's passion for the game goes unquestioned
