- Here it is part II of our review of Mazda's CX-50 Meridian edition with every current accessory you can get from Mazda on this SUV plus some aftermarket accessories we added. Enjoy and let us know what else you would have added to this build.
It's just what I need. My Mazda 3 GT has been places it shouldn't and I just want a little more clearance for dirt roads and logging roads. I want to keep the Mazda style quality and reliability with just a little more capability. Im gonna get one for sure Love the look of that car
good to see Russel Peters loving the CX50!
Sick, appreciate the cx-50 meridian content. Loving mine so much my lady just grabbed a cx5 to match 😂
Broooo ur crazy!!! Camping n the rain?!? Yeah u a different kinda savage for tht1!
Fyi you can get a front skid plate for under $400 to add protection for the under carriage too!
Where can we find it?
nice flat trail
You guys missed a good trail in Utah. Visit Shafer Trail in Canyonlands NP.
Question: I also have a 2024 Meridian with Apex package and look to go camping on it. The one thing I worry about is roof rack/platform weight limits. Every review I’ve read states a max weight of 165lbs but your setup suggests otherwise. Is there a different weight limit on yours? What’s the static and dynamic weight? Thanks!
Great question Nestor. Here is what I got directly from Mazda:
Our platform dynamic capacity: 119 lbs
Yakima 6.5’ awning: 28.3 lbs
Yakima 3 person tent: 114.6 lbs
Yakima 2 person tent: 101.4 lbs.
Static capacity is 450 lbs.
I had this at max dynamic load and it never even budged or made a sound of stress.
How'd you get the 360 degree camera in the Meridian? Did the dealer offer that as an option?
So this build was a premium plus Turbo CX-50 which they added the Meridian hood sticker and rims. Mazda is supposed to release this full premium version on the Meridian soon.
Hey, on your part 1 video, you showed a Cam View button option. I recently bought a 2024 Meridian CX50 (same color as yours) and it doesn’t have that button… did you ask for that addition?
Hi. Yes this was a special build of every option of a premium plus CX-50 with the Meridian rims, tires, and logo. Mazda is supposed to come out with this top trim option for Meridian soon.
@@teamatz2016how did you manage that special build? I asked the dealership to build my meridian closer to the premium plus but they said it was not doable
@mrpenshi I believe you buy the premium plus, and just add the meridian extras (tires, rims, stickers). That's why his "meridian" has the normal headlights. It's actually a premium plus with meridian extras.
@@bonilla1240 Yup. That explains it. Thanks!
So ya’ll left both rav4 down the hill to camp with the little boyz 😂
why was car fuming from the front ?
Water got on the radiator and engine compartment. We were going through some deep puddels
Ohh, Thank you for sharing ❤️!
You should NOT be driving thru puddles fast like that. You’re dang lucky you didn’t suck water into the air intake… or you’d be looking at engine replacement. Drive thru puddles SLOWLY!
plastic splash guard got ripped off gonna cost a fortune to replace
One plastic clip
I will never ever take my cx50 to this type of terrain.
@@petteremmartz but you know you could if want 😆
This is not even an off-road vehicle 🤣
My corolla could drive that flat trail. lol
@@hookedonfishing2095 I’m not familiar with that trail or what’s under the water, but you are probably correct. sorry you have to drive a Corolla tho
With the lift & bigger tires it sure looks like one 🤔
In ur dreams@@slapskate
It's not a rock crawler, but it'll take you off road 😁
