  • After just over 3 months with the Audi RS e-tron GT, there's been a lot to like about the e-tron GT and there are some bits not so much. In this video, I talk about how practical and efficient the RS e-tron GT is to own, how it drives, and the design. Is it worth the over £130,000 price tag??

This is the car I pray to have have in my garage one day, I love the way it looks and the interior. Great video as usual

Great video! I have the RS etron GT in black, and it looks amazing when clean! Handling is something else. But I wish I got it with the carbon brakes, as with all that weight, they can sometimes feel a bit spongy.

Excellent video, fair and balanced. Really glad you enjoyed your time with the car. I'm 10 months into owning my RS Carbon Vorsprung (having previous had the GT Quattro, which is equally a super car) and I absolute love it. All extremely valid observations and comments you've made after 3 months with the car. It's lovely in Daytona Grey isn't it, really shows the lines of the car well (my GT was Daytona, the RS is Mythos Black which looks great when it's clean, but not so good with the current weather conditions).
There are a couple of recalls knocking around at the minute for the GT (Taycan is experiencing similar) regarding the high voltage battery integrity (93T7) against water ingress (but Audi are pushing to get the cars through the recall checks ASAP, with a lot of their battery specific workshops being maxed out in the UK at the minute).
Pre-sense is a bit oversensitive as you mentioned, I think you can turn pre-sense front off if you wish but I keep it on to be honest.
As you say, charge costs vary. For me I'm lucky I can charge on the drive so each charge is about £6. 80% charge is giving me around 190 miles in the current UK winter. Charge speed varies on where your starting point is when charging. Sub 20% you'll get very close to 270kw charge rates (depending on if the car has preconditioned the HV battery prior to charging) but it tails off speed wise as the battery reaches a higher capacity (probably why Audi quote the 20-80% speeds where it's at its quickest).
Sad day to hand it back. I'm so tempted to buy mine outright at the end of the finance period, but looking at the residuals and the current state of the EV market, it'll be doing well to stay in positive territory above its GFMV.
    Keep up the great work!

Thank you. The high voltage battery integrity (93T7) has been popping up but I ignored as Audi will sort that when they pick it back up. Honestly, I've spent the last couple of months trying to decide the best way to buy one as I've fallen in love with it haha. I keep the Pre-sense on, rather safe than sorry, the annoyance isn't that frequent for me to turn it off really. Thanks for stopping by, everytime i see another RS on the road, we both always smile and nod :D

Great Video and review. I have had my RS Etron GT 16 months now (in Ireland )and have covered 27k km (~16700 miles). 0-62 mph is consistently 3.0 secs using a racebox pro. I covered 7500 km traveling across Europe and down to Sicily last summer without issue which cost me €426 in charging costs using the Audi Charge card Pro. The max charge rate I saw was 269 KW/h, though mostly it ranges from 160 to 220 kw/h charge rate. Electrical consumption ranges from 2.6 miles per KW to 3.2 Kw/h. Overall this is a fab car that is comfortable, can eat almost anything else on the road, and turns heads wherever it goes.

Ahh I’m glad you’re enjoying it. I love it and it’s still the car I’m working hard to get as my own one day. Thanks for taking the time to comment

I’ll be picking one up next year. They have a new version with stronger batteries. You are right, taking this over a Taycan.

Jealous. Hope it all goes well and let me know what you think of it. I've seen videos of the prototype and it's so nice, I really want it

Loved your review and your enthusiasm. There are big discounts on these and depreciation seems steep but that applies to most expensive Audis. Would it have been better as a hatchback.

Thank you. I’d love to see it in hatchback or shooting brake for sure
