    It would appear to be a printing press... with plates that emboss and die cut at the same time... wow...

    How is the sense of this stripping machine when outside waste on whole paper skid can be stripped in 5 minutes by hand?

      Hi D L, thanks for asking. Sure we can give you some reasons:
      - faster blanking process (up to 20.000 sh/hr)
      - better blanking quality of the blanks (no marks from manual stripping)
      - in the newest design the nicks in between the single cut are already broken = real banking ready for the further processing
      We hope we could answer your question with that?
      Cheers, your Koenig & Bauer Team

      Hi Vimal. yes the plates are produced by an external supplier, our preferred supplier is Wink.
      But you can also order the plates from other manufacturers, e.g.: Rotometrics, Drohmann, Kocher & Beck... there are many manufacturers for these plates. Cheers :)

    What's the average make-ready time for a job? How critical are the gripper bar chains for the registration?

    • @KoenigundBauerAG
      @KoenigundBauerAG  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dear TheJackpam,
      In order to be able to specify make ready times it is important to differentiate between the applications first. There is a difference between IML and packaging. Roughly speaking: for a repeat packaging job without embossing, we set up in 15 minutes. When we have a new job, make-ready takes an average of 30 minutes. For IML, a repeat job is done in 5 min, a new job in approx. 10-15 min.
      The Rapida RDC has no gripper bar chains like a flatbed die-cutter. The sheet is transported in the RDC exactly like in a Koenig & Bauer offset press with a tolerance of less than 0.015 µm - This makes the RDC the most precise die-cutter on the market!
