I relate to Jacob's Vaporeon struggle. My favorite pokemon was Gardevoir, because I thought it looked really elegant, and if you're a human male and say the words "Gardevoir is my favorite pokemon" people instantly think you just browse r34 all day.

Did you know in gen 1, Parasect had a 4x weakness to fire, flying, AND poison? Record high for the most 4x damage weaknesses in history.
He's also one of the best HM users when paired with Dragonite in Gen 2.
Flash/Cut/RockSmash/Dig (or Sweet Scent) on Parasect,
Strength/Waterfall/Whirlpool/Fly on Dragonite,
then just put Surf on your main Water Pokémon of choice.

@@mr.stuffdoer8483 Yep. Gen 1 was very poorly coded and balanced. For example, Ghost attacks did nothing to Psychic Pokémon, and the only Dragon-type attack always did 40 damage regardless of weakness.
And right now it has Dry Skin, which combines with its typing to make it the only Pokemon in the game with an 8x weakness!

Eevee is my favorite pokemon, but I do understand how they have become a franchise icon so it can be pretty easy to lose your love for them. I just love how cute and fluffy Eevee is, and that they can change into so many types.
BTW: my favorite Eevee evolution is Umbreon
Eevee becoming my absolute favorite pokemon snuck up on me. I've always liked it, but gen 6 rekindled a lot of that love through the amie. Seeing the other eevolutions there sold me on most of them. I used to like espeon more until I saw umbreon in Y.
It's honestly very close between leafeon and umbreon being my favorite eevolutions.

fun fact: bruxish is based on a fish called the reef triggerfish, or the “humuhumunukunukuapua'a”. it looks just as stupid in real life, and i didn’t care too much about bruxish- until i learned this. in a little show called octonauts, they taught us about this fish, giving it a special place in my heart. does it look stupid? yes. is it a fish with teeth? yes. but i still love him.

They skipped some Pokémon
Glaceon, Milotic, Gardevoir and Chandelure are peak Pokémon for me. I think it's the elegant designs and cries, as well as some personal attachment. Grew to love the Gardevoir line because it was my first Pokémon I caught miraculously, and the Airalin comics. Love Glaceon due to one my friend trading me back in Diamond that I still have (her name is Evoli; Timid nature).
I also like the more lean and speed-oreiented 'mon, so Quilava, Pikachu, Sneazle, Buizel, etc are up there. Of course, Lucario, Lapras, Snorlax, Lopunny, Mawhile, Braixen, Torterra, Chespin, Emolga, Joltik, Staraptor, Sylveon, Luxray, Lillipup, Lunala, and Primarina, are up there as well.

Chandelure is one of my faves solely due to my nuzlocke run with her tbh

I think the best compliment I can give you as a creator is that I feel more excited about watching a full hour video of your content than I do watching a 20 minute video of the video game I've played for 10 years.
I like how each different gen has their own music instead of one continuous song. It really separates the generation and makes it special. It's very nostalgic.

Remoraid was originally meant to be drawn like a hand gun but got modded because it's a children's game and then Octillery was meant to have a general helmet and be in a lil tank. They would have been so coooool.
Before I state my opinion I just gotta say that I love how fast paced this video is with the editing.
Meganium looks like just a walking vegetable to me so I totally understand why you'd want to eat it and Marill was literally a meat shield for a nuzlocke I did once so it definitely has puntable energy. I feel like I could kick it like a football and it'll smile all the way as it flew.

It's crazy how experiences with a Pokemon can do a full 180 on your opinion of them. Like I could not care less about Mothim and Golduck before Legends Arceus but I found their shinies and got super attached to them. Hypothermia the shiny Golduck ended up being the most powerful member of my team.
Yeah, legends arceus really changed peoples thoughts on certain pokemon. Parasect is a perfect example. Most people didnt care for it but now most hate it and are terrified of it
I never gave a shit about Golduck either until I WAS ONE in Mystery Dungeon DX and started loving it. Think my first ever level 100 Pokémon in any game ever
Same thing happened with me and Drifloon in Pokemon Reborn, I reset on a certain event not liking the stats I got on it, and when I got into an encounter with them again, not only was it shiny, but it also came with pokerus, needless to say that I now value her just as much as my starter.

Happy to see Avalugg get some love in this list, personally they're in my top 10 through sheer audacity alone being able to tank physical hits better than *fucking Steelix* for no good reason. I love my ice table.
Also, if you care for competitive singles in any way, to those disappointed by Vikavolt's lack of speed I highly recommend running a defensive spread with Volt Switch, Bug Buzz, Roost and your choice of Sticky Webs, Toxic or Thunder Wave.
It does especially well in Gen 8 OU for some reason.
Personally I landed on an ev spread of 88 HP 196 Def and 224 Sp.atk with a Modest or Bold Nature, but I've gotten mileage out of 252 HP and def with 4 in Sp.atk with a Bold nature especially as a Kartana switch-in as Kart does ~20-30% max or ~50-60% once with knock off and you ohko with bug buzz unless they're either focus sash or assault vest, which they're probably not.

Lucario is peak pokemon, but because gamefreak doesn't know how to cool it with the constant shoving him into anything pokemon related people tend to hate him for no reason. Lucario is awesome gamefreak just suck at handling anything popular really. If the people like something it doesn't mean they wanna see it EVERY single time you wanna announce something all it does is lose the intrest of people who like set thing.
