As someone who played baseball most of my life and have only golfed for a few years the Enlow grips felt right at home and completely changed my shots off the tee in the best way possible. I bought mine off of Mr Enlow last year at the Cleveland Golf Show and will be buying more for the rest of my clubs in the bag. 14 bucks a pop isn’t a bad price at all either. Love the Enlow, total game changer.

So FYI, you measure grips 2 inches down from the end caps, that how manufacturers size them. Anyway, for those that are wondering, the golf pride CP2 line of grips in jumbo equate almost exactly to the standard jumbo of jumboMax. Now remember, standard jumbo is jumboMax's smallest grip. The next size up for jumboMax is extra small. I know, it makes no sense, but that's how it is. But for anyone who wants to try jumbo grips and fits that "smallest" size in jumbomax, the CP2 jumbo will feel identical

I,m using the Ultralite, Jumbo Max tapered XS ..1/36 (Junior )on my drivers , and I have med - large hand-glove size ,,any bigger and they are too Big !
on my Woods I am using the JMX -XS size same, but the Straight 8.no taper .. this has been working incredibly well in 2022.
    Cheers

I love the tacki mac grips because of their old-school look and are so beautiful on a vintage wilson set of tour blades. They are also so comfortable.

Thanks for making this, I was considering a few of these grips for myself. Didn’t know you could get all those varieties in oversize or jumbo grips. Was curious what kind of difference the added weight would feel like, from what I saw in your video it seems like it doesn’t make a huge difference to you at least since it’s in the hand grip area.

Great video. I've just started playing golf and just bought a set of Mizuno JPX921. I get pins and needles in my hands. So it is sore to grip the club's. Just started my journey to find a grip I like. Ordered jumbo max Medium to test out. My hands are large cadet so see if I like them, can go up or down. Interesting your discussion about going to straight not tapered. Might try the Jumbo Max Straight Medium as well. Cheers from Australia 👍🏼

Welcome, John! Golf is fun, and I like experimenting. There's actually a grip called Prorelease by Feel Golf that's from Australia. Looks really nice, but very similar to a grip called the Powerstoke here which I ordered to try out too. Might be worth a look if they are available near you.

Good vid but not a fan of foam grips like Winn & Jumbomax. I like to tinker with grip sizes & love that I can custom my size with different tape wraps to rubber grips like golf pride or lamkin. This doesn't work with foam & its much cheaper to go with rubber then custom fit it, even add second reminder or half reminder under the tape to align hand to grip.

I like the Str8 tech. I want the same feel in both hands when gripping the club. They have XS, M and XL sizes. And they have the Str8 tech in ultralite now.

I had jumbo cp2 pro but found they reduced my swing weight too much. Ended up with the winn lite oversized and love them and much less hand abrasion with the winn.

One very big flaw in this study is that you’re not considering the inside diameter of the grip, some grips have a small inner diameter and expand quite a bit over the shaft making the outside diameter drastically bigger once installed…

Thank you for the great info. What tool did you use to remove those grips without damage, specially those grips are somewhat rigid and don't give much on the inner side? Air compressor or one of those v-groove removal tool?

Using ultralite XS as well. I feel they are a little bit too big as well and the light weight kinda mess up a lot of my swing weight. Looking to change them. Thanks for the video.

You do realize you can make the grip thicker where you want it right? I started off with the Lamkin Sonar midsize grips and when I held it in my hand I wanted it just a little thicker at the skinnier end so I used tape to build that part up. You just wrap as many layers as you like and then slide it over when you’re ready to install the grip. I’m trying the jumbomax ultralight XS now. It’s arriving tomorrow so I’ll see how that feels. I have a tendency to roll my hands over and hit draws with my irons. It’s frustrating on the 150+ yard par 3’s. I’ve heard oversized grips don’t help everyone but it’s worth a try. I’ll need new grips soon anyways.

I use Win Dri Tac oversize but 5 layers of masking tape the 4 layers further for the front this fits under the grip perfect. Reality is that at least half the grips you are showing are injected molded in the same factory in China.

Is there any other brand that is equal in size to the jumbo max brand?
Doesn’t seem to be, tried the tacky-Mac “jumbo” and they are not by any means.

    • @petervonpanda
      @petervonpanda  3 ปีที่แล้ว

I bought the Tacky-macs and some others. No one comes close to the size. They are definitely unique in the space unless you go to putter grips which get close but aren't "legal" for swing clubs. Not sure why someone doesn't offer something in the over oversized space.

As someone recovering from trigger finger surgery I was hopeful to find a variety of jumbo grips a bit cheaper than the jumbo max.
Do the jumbo max last twice as long or break down just as much as regular?
I appreciate the response and thank you for the quick reply and taking time out of your day.
