- I knew I was capable of getting the sub 40, and very pleased to see it finally happen, years after we already knew it was a theoretical target for current strategies, but I wouldn't have believed you if you told me that the first would clear the target by over 30 seconds.
I'll probably sit down and do a more thorough breakdown of this run at some point, but for now, all you need to know is that there is only one LARGE mistake in this entire run, and that is missing the Planet Wisp Boss quick kill, which lost 20 seconds.
The next weirdest mistake was me outright forgetting that I was starting AP4 and not AP5 🤣 Just homing attacked the dang spring by instinct and lost 5 seconds for it. Ah well, it happens deep within sessions I guess. There are also a handful of unnecessary deaths that lost tiny amounts of time but Tails Saves tend to dull most of the impact of those and make them a second or two a piece.

@@Temerario26Z no, this glitch exists in the OG sonic colours~ I know this b/c I used the “space portal glitch” that uses the rocket to sequence break the boss fight and make it kill itself. Don’t believe me? Search it up for yourself.

nah, the original version is more polished and the graphics are better if you emulate. There may be a couple speedrun strats that are different between versions but the original isnt a senseless cash grab with obnoxious changes
I am personally enjoying it a lot, and i played the og one on Dolphin, this one is easier to pick up and play.
Judging from your profile pic i think you will have a good experience either on Xbox or PC
@@Zarkatornah now its a good option to play the game and both versions look great but yeah wii one still looks a bit better but this one is just start and play on every console
39:11 I had a lot of trouble with the coasters because there was several times I'd press jump and fall out of it. It's hilarious to watch Sonic not fall out where you think he should.

Honestly the boost doesn’t seem that much slower to unleashes boost when a speed runner uses it its just for the casual play through theres just so many things that want you to stop going fast
Yeah, Colors definitely has more of a Sonic 1 philosophy to speed than Sonic 2 like the other boost games have. Speed is the reward for skillful play, the game isn't gonna hand it to you and ask you to maintain it (at least in the side acts mostly anyway).
I have just one question: What is the real purpose of the Egg Shuttle?
