One of the things they put into this update is when you over craft on ammo it now goes into your stash! Even works when you are at a crafting table! So now you can always craft to the max and over time pull ammo from your stash instead of having to craft it!
Really?! I still haven't played it yet as I was too busy with College and now that I graduated I am trying to complete game again because I started a new game on PS4 so that saved data got imported to PS5 so have to complete the game again before getting to Burning Shores
My recommendation for farming Brimshine is the following: keep 1 weapon or armour set in the shop and create a job for it. This creates a job for 8 Brimshine pieces. That means that you can keep finding Brimshine via a tracked quest until you have 8 pieces and then the quest stops tracking them. If you create a job for only 1 or 3 Brimshine pieces, then you have to return to your workshop more often to spend them and enable the quest again.
Some more tips - Some brimshine are in locations that are only accessible after you've completed a certain quest but will still appear on the map if you have a job open - Make sure to clear your map of fog, as the job function will not guide you to any location hidden behind fog (it will appear as "unknown site" in your quest menu)

Your content is so good. Helpful and easy to follow. There’s so much to chew on with this combat system. I finished the game on Very Hard without using any of the tactics you mention in your videos like using the rope caster, warrior bows, bolt blaster and elemental build up. I literally just spammed adv hunter arrows to take of parts and spam sharp shot blast or focused shot until the robos died. It was very one note and some fights took a while. Glad to see that there’s a lot more depth to the combat system than what I used in my play through
Another great tip is to loot the defense drone for a elite critical hits coil before talking to Seyka and after you talked to her you can loot the drone again. So you get 2x the elite critical hits coil
It's so much fun I rushed through all main and side content in these few days, will definitely do a full new game plus (4th) to replay the whole burning shore
Can we talk about how GG went nuts with the names on these weapons. Last Argument is a boss ass name for possibly the best spikethrower in the game👌🏾🔥.
As a person with Thalassaphobia, i am very thankful that they added that setting. underwater missions like the sea of sands were very difficult for me , so if there are any underwater missions in HFW:BS, that'll really help me to beat them easily :D
Lol idk why that’s slightly wholesome but I do love the setting because the under water portions are so annoying as is, specifically the controls and trying to snag fish. What I don’t understand is how it really treats thalassophobia its still deep af which is the issue. I didn’t even know what that was until this game but deep water does make me a bit uneasy just not full blown phobia for me

Nice tips man!! I’ve been exploring the burning shores between quests right now trying to find all those Pangea figures, haven’t gone into the clouds yet but I plan to soon. Another tip I would add for others is to have a battle ready clawstrider with you for those group fights, it definitely helps in my experience
Yes, you are absolutely spot one. Using the Tenakth Tactician weaved with machine elemental +2 and machine damage +2 is pretty amazing. You just point your fireclaw strider wherever you want with a targeting arrow and then get some popcorn ready. This even work on ultrahard. It is hilarious to see this machine tear up raider, camps Apex SlaughterSpines and TremorTusks :)
First off: I GREATLY appreciate your high-quality content and your dedication to Horizon. You have made a positive impression on me that few TH-cam personalities can. That said: I would not lament the death of the Arena glitch duplication bug. Honestly, you should never have even mentioned the glitch, and you definitely shouldn’t promote it, nor the currency exchange anomaly with the Whisper Bow. This game is vast, and begging to be explored and experienced - and I know you know this. Players (in my opinion) should be encouraged to just visit the world, explore and find stuff and fight stuff, to gain resources. Are there certain targets that are worth mentioning for farming (beaches with gulls, pelicans, crabs, and lobsters, for example)? Yes; absolutely! But encouraging players to stand at a vendor, repeatedly buying and selling the same item repeatedly, to gain a few shards per transaction? Man… nah. Leave that garbage for lesser-quality channels.
Thanks! And I do understand your stance on this. Personally, I upgraded every weapon in the game and all outfits to level 3 the normal way before using the glitch to get additional resources. I was hesitant to share it for the same reasons you describe, but I decided to show these glitches because many people have limited time to play and they would rather use something like this so they can spend their gaming time doing something more interesting than hunting animals for shards. I feel people can choose to use it or continue on as the devs intended. Either way though, I appreciate your support 🙂
I’ve never understood this line of thinking: if an individual has limited time to play games, why would s/he want to spend that sparse limited time staring at a NPC’s vendor menu, repeatedly buying and reselling an item?
I started on Ultra Hard and got stuck when fighting the water wings. They were brutal and i couldn't escape and kept dying. I was no longer having fun so I restarted on Normal. It's too easy now but I'm happy.
Oh man I was going to comment that. Those 3 waterwings on one of the island absolutely wrecked me on UH. They r so aggressive and they give u no opening to attack and constantly close distance with their attacks

When I heard waterwings were "unrelenting," I thought they'd just have a normal pattern, and not be that much of a hassle. Boy was I wrong. I fought waterwings for the first time during a side quest. Those things are BRUTAL. Couldn't get a single second to break! It took nearly all of my healing and several rounds of rope casting to kill them
Agreed. Here is my strategy with all flying machine: first and foremost, equip your forgefall and coil it with five 25% aerial enemy coils. Two advanced plasma arrows will bring down ANY variant of ANY flying machine (so long as it is actually flying) down to the ground twice. Wait for the second grounding then bind it up. Do as you will from here on. If you are fighting multiple waterwings or multiple machines, be sure to use the chainburst valor.
Hey hey, hey I don’t know if this is worth anything but… after you kill the first tower machine, loot it before you talk to Seyka and then loot it again so you can obtain two elite critical hits damage by 15%

Quick tip ArkTix; use an aerial damage coiled ForgeFall + Tears of Land God on flying machines. One advanced plasma shot from your ForgeFall will bring down any flying machine. You can drench the glinthawks and follow up with AR+ grappling strikes or spreadshot from BoltBlaster for a quick kill.
I strongly agree with taking your time. I personally finished the story in a day while basically doing no side content which I now have to do which seems repetitive.
Good guide, I really appreciate the help with this new difficulty spike for Burning Shores. I hadn't played HFW since it first came out so I'm super rusty on the combat and playing on Ultra hard with the mobs of enemies can be insanely hard.
I can't wait to really dig into all the new mechanics. I've only played through a few story missions and a few side missions, so far. There were several times when, after a fight, I thought, "I know I should've used one of the new Valor Surges." Building familiarity with them will bring good results. The new coils and ropecaster immediately caught my eye and were my first purchases. The new Sharpshot bow is nice, too. Armor-piercing arrows are always appreciated against human-heavies. I'll probably save the outfits for last. They're great to have, but won't impact my playstyle as much. Unless I decide to mix it up for a while, every outfit is just a skin to layer onto my Nora Thunder Warrior.
The berserk valor surge came in clutch for me during the story mission to find other quen. Those two damn bilegut on UH are a massive pain. I was able to get full valor surge after long battle, use it, and fly away lol. One of them killed the other, and then I killed the last

Great info!! I'm at the final quest but putting it off for awhile to get some of the new gear. At 3000/ea that's a hard hit on your shard stash. The "One quest in the Ruin" you mentioned was awesome I need to change my loadout as I set her up with the 4 hunter bow type you suggested in another video. Another learning curve and a great challenge on Normal (for me anyway). GG has done an amazing, outstanding job with the series so far. Will be looking forward to more videos on Horizon.

Regarding the grapple strike and how much I like the new last argument spike thrower, they both complement each other really well, load the spike thrower with 5 knockdown power (+ the extra 25% for fully upgrading it) makes it 100% extra knockdown power and mixed with the 4% chance of insta brittle, makes it so nice because then you target the spot that the grapple strike leaves with a shrapshot bown and BOOM, damage go brrr.
I feel the quen deadeye outfit is a nice mix of range and stealth, with the new elite weaves for concentration (since it doesn't have deep concentration perk, one of the weaves with that, is just great), really love it, and brooooooo when i did *that sidequest* and got the last argument spike thrower i cheered so hard and yes. I've defo used the new legendary ropecaster several times, because as you said, the group of small machine, sheeeesshh, specially the group of birds in *that* main mission xD heck.
A great chain burst strategy is: group/corral machines > activate chain burst > drop smoke bomb > knockdown/bind > brittle machines with sun scourge > Elite Arrow Shots with Iriv Downfall into machine's eyes (unofficial weak spot)

The Legendary ropecaster and Legendary spike thrower with Drill Spikes are both game-changers. I recommend acquiring and upgrading them first, at least if you are on Ultra Hard. Also! As a player who always previously favored the Chain Burst surge, I am thrilled to hear you promote that surge here. It was under-appreciated earlier, but now in Burning Shores, it’s going to be great.

Agreed. But you can leverage the new hunter's mark or chain burst. For me, the real question is, do the perks of the new hunter's mark valor only apply to hunter bows? Have you ever considered using the new Skyhammer blastsling for inflicting the brittle state instead of The Sun Scourge? It is more resource efficient and does more buildup per bomb, plus you can use sticky bomb to boost the buildup even further!😎
The groups of machines are fun since I’ve gotten so used to being 1 on 1. The chain burst valor surge has been very useful compared to the base game. Keep up the awesome content!
Oh man, a particular new machine brings so much chaos, we definitely need a Master Hunter Guide. So far didn't find anything better than Chain Burst + ropecaster, so would be interesting to see the techniques you'll come up with

Soaring into the beautiful clouds (yes you can do that now) and then diving underwater, all in a matter of mere seconds, in an open world game with this much detail, with zero loading screen or slowdowns, is a technical miracle. Guerilla should be proud of this feat.
Some players, including you, were recommending to keep resources for upgrades.-Did any of those marked as “valuables to sell” in HFW turn into something more useful? What about pouch upgrade resources (animal skins and bones). Does TBS need those?
Had a ton of fun looking for brimshine so i could get all the coils and everything upgraded just missing 1 machine kill while using glider and specter gauntlet and 1 kill with the new grapple move and 100% the entire dlc and completed arena good amount of brimshine from that and some nice coils.

Thanks for another great vid. Just one question I also raised on your older tips video: How can you properly slide dodge without ending up crouched all the time? Jumping for me doesn't work, and square again feels cluncky. Really struggeling with that one.
Avoid any terrain that can obstruct Aloy. Turn on Auto Sprint. Make sure she is running. Keep pushing your left analog stick when you press square. Press O twice when she slide animation almost stops. You can equip evader weave if you wish. Practice makes perfect so pick a fight with a slaughter spine and bring plenty of rich meat and cleanse potions.
Long time no see, are you ok? Well to do grappling Strike you need Knockdown and Shock. The new Drill Spike with 40% DoT and 25% KDP is just great for that. Shock is more difficult, the new legendary boltblaster has shock ammo and with MFU coils and Spreadshot, they can work for close combat fine. AR Shock Shredders are also always nice, use MFU coils if you are in that close range and working with melee anyways. Don´t know if the jump off after the grappling strike has the 20% impact damage bonus has Jump Off skill, need to test that if i get my game running again. The new Hunter Bow with MFU and Close Ranged weapon perks seem a good fit for close range, high damage Single Shot occasion like detonating a Resonator Blast. If Grappling Strike triggers MFU, needs to be tested, if the Melee Capsule work with that resonator also, maybe it is possible to chain two attacks together this way like Knockdown --> Grappling Strike --> Detonator : Shock --> Grappeling Strike. Good secondary weapon could be the new elemental Warrior Bow, with MFU coils it´s supringsly usefull.

Below is my work-in-progress grappling strike build: OUTFIT: Quen Commander weaved with elemental spear +2 & resonator blast +2 WEAPONS: Emperor's Reign, coiled with 5 Melee-Followup coils. 5 knockdown damage coils cannot leverage grappling strike during shocked and binding states. I always use the appropriate spear capsule on the machine (plasma for apex ravager, shock for apex tremortusk, etc). I am testing Burning Shores on Very Hard because research data is easier to parse. Preliminary Conclusion: The above build can decimate 80% of an Apex Ravager's full Health in just one "combo string" of: KnockDown/Binding/Shock > grappling strike > resonator window > overdraw shot into resonator blast. What are your thoughts on improving this build?
@@roominkpaper1945 For now i don´t see a lot better execution, and that sounds impressive: VH Health Ravager/Apex 2366/3549 so 80%=1893/2839 Being Low Low Health helps with the shot. Setting up Status effect might help, if you don´t use the shock. I wonder if Melee Detonator get triggered from Grappling Strike, but if it worth the extra work? You may try and work with Stamina Regen and Knockdown shot for reliable knockdown vs light and medium machines. You could try and see what happens with Chainburst active. See how other VS behave. I have a lot of problem with my game and can hardlly play and test, (ce10822-1 error), this is also the reason for the late answer, try to glitch my work around etc.
Looking forward to your weapons video, but for now I think I’ll just get and upgrade the legendary rope caster & the legendary spikethrower, as well as some of the new coils/weaves. I don’t think the new hunter bow looks better than tears of the land god at all and the new sharpshot bow is nice but idk if it’s Iriv’s Downfall with 5x crit coils nice.
Good advice to take your time on the main story, I rushed through it and it definitely felt pretty short. There is loads of side content though, probably 4x as much as the main story contains
Has anyone else noticed that after patch 1.21 it flipped the order that ammo is displayed for weapons equipped to your wheel? Has kinda thrown me off getting used to where things are again. For example on the ancestors return i instinctively reach for a shock shredder but instead have thrown a tear. Hopefully it’s a bug that gets fixed.
I beat the horizon forbidden west yesterday. The last mission started off tough but got easier along the way. Your hints really helps. Unfortunately I had some glitch and I couldn't use any health potions during most of my playthrough. The shredder gauntlets were my favorite and I used them to clear a herd of monsters at a scavenger mission in the desert but because I went too far from my fire bristle back, even though I saw it dig up the loot, the game kicked my progress back to finding the mount to sniff our the lost gear. Lol.

Had a bit of trouble getting my ps4 save to port to my ps5, so I didn't start till after 6pm 4/20, but I blasted through till about 4am this morning and I'm about done with the story already
Use the new berserk blast valor surge when you are fighting all those annoying groups of enemies. Not only will it send them all into a frenzy and start attacking each other. But they also take damage after the effect wears off.
Free of spoilers That cauldron fight was really difficult, took me over a hour because I kept dying sense it’s on ultra hard, a trick to get rid of some pesky nuisance is equipping either the shock explosion or berserk valor surge from the infiltration skill tree, good clear out and the berserk one recharge from itself. Additionally I recommend to always have powershot surge on sense it requires the most charge and if you swap it to something you other need it will always be fully charged. I personally have found a fondness of the potion surge in the survival tree. Also a reminder as it is extremely useful, if you see a incoming attack hold for weapon wheel as it slows down and you can dodge in it, making it easier to time and remember to hold the dodge button to extend it as some attacks requires it. Finally if you are knocked down hold the heal button as it is one of the few things you can do meanwhile and lowers the chance of having to do it in a panic. (Edit: also finally the big heavy weight overrides has uses to fight other machines as before the sights only just subdue them because of being alone) Minor spoilers Tho I must say, I bought a ps5 just for this dlc and man was it worth it for Horus part (you should know there is one, it’s freaking in the title screen) to say I’m pleased with it is a understatement, it was everything I wanted and more, wanted to cry from happiness, gone is the day of horribly giant bosses that was only a fragment of what you wanted.

As a person with Thalassaphobia, i am very thankful that they added that setting. underwater missions like the sea of sands were very difficult for me , so if there are any underwater missions in HFW:BS, that'll really help me to beat them easily :D
Lol idk why that’s slightly wholesome but I do love the setting because the under water portions are so annoying as is, specifically the controls and trying to snag fish. What I don’t understand is how it really treats thalassophobia its still deep af which is the issue. I didn’t even know what that was until this game but deep water does make me a bit uneasy just not full blown phobia for me

Another tip I would add for others is to have a battle ready clawstrider with you for those group fights, it definitely helps in my experience
Yes, you are absolutely spot one. Using the Tenakth Tactician weaved with machine elemental +2 and machine damage +2 is pretty amazing. You just point your fireclaw strider wherever you want with a targeting arrow and then get some popcorn ready. This even work on ultrahard. It is hilarious to see this machine tear up raider, camps Apex SlaughterSpines and TremorTusks :)
Would also recommend taking your time on main quests one specific one requires a companion to be with you in order to open a door.
First off: I GREATLY appreciate your high-quality content and your dedication to Horizon. You have made a positive impression on me that few TH-cam personalities can.
That said: I would not lament the death of the Arena glitch duplication bug. Honestly, you should never have even mentioned the glitch, and you definitely shouldn’t promote it, nor the currency exchange anomaly with the Whisper Bow. This game is vast, and begging to be explored and experienced - and I know you know this. Players (in my opinion) should be encouraged to just visit the world, explore and find stuff and fight stuff, to gain resources. Are there certain targets that are worth mentioning for farming (beaches with gulls, pelicans, crabs, and lobsters, for example)? Yes; absolutely! But encouraging players to stand at a vendor, repeatedly buying and selling the same item repeatedly, to gain a few shards per transaction? Man… nah. Leave that garbage for lesser-quality channels.
Thanks! And I do understand your stance on this. Personally, I upgraded every weapon in the game and all outfits to level 3 the normal way before using the glitch to get additional resources. I was hesitant to share it for the same reasons you describe, but I decided to show these glitches because many people have limited time to play and they would rather use something like this so they can spend their gaming time doing something more interesting than hunting animals for shards. I feel people can choose to use it or continue on as the devs intended. Either way though, I appreciate your support 🙂
I’ve never understood this line of thinking: if an individual has limited time to play games, why would s/he want to spend that sparse limited time staring at a NPC’s vendor menu, repeatedly buying and reselling an item?

I started on Ultra Hard and got stuck when fighting the water wings. They were brutal and i couldn't escape and kept dying. I was no longer having fun so I restarted on Normal. It's too easy now but I'm happy.
Oh man I was going to comment that. Those 3 waterwings on one of the island absolutely wrecked me on UH. They r so aggressive and they give u no opening to attack and constantly close distance with their attacks

When I heard waterwings were "unrelenting," I thought they'd just have a normal pattern, and not be that much of a hassle. Boy was I wrong. I fought waterwings for the first time during a side quest. Those things are BRUTAL. Couldn't get a single second to break! It took nearly all of my healing and several rounds of rope casting to kill them
4 Waterwings (some Apex) was the thoughest fight up to now, did not helped i still had 1 wrong weave from earlier still, agressive little B....

Agreed. Here is my strategy with all flying machine: first and foremost, equip your forgefall and coil it with five 25% aerial enemy coils. Two advanced plasma arrows will bring down ANY variant of ANY flying machine (so long as it is actually flying) down to the ground twice. Wait for the second grounding then bind it up. Do as you will from here on. If you are fighting multiple waterwings or multiple machines, be sure to use the chainburst valor.

Quick tip ArkTix; use an aerial damage coiled ForgeFall + Tears of Land God on flying machines. One advanced plasma shot from your ForgeFall will bring down any flying machine. You can drench the glinthawks and follow up with AR+ grappling strikes or spreadshot from BoltBlaster for a quick kill.

Good guide, I really appreciate the help with this new difficulty spike for Burning Shores. I hadn't played HFW since it first came out so I'm super rusty on the combat and playing on Ultra hard with the mobs of enemies can be insanely hard.

I can't wait to really dig into all the new mechanics. I've only played through a few story missions and a few side missions, so far. There were several times when, after a fight, I thought, "I know I should've used one of the new Valor Surges." Building familiarity with them will bring good results.
The new coils and ropecaster immediately caught my eye and were my first purchases. The new Sharpshot bow is nice, too. Armor-piercing arrows are always appreciated against human-heavies.
I'll probably save the outfits for last. They're great to have, but won't impact my playstyle as much. Unless I decide to mix it up for a while, every outfit is just a skin to layer onto my Nora Thunder Warrior.
The berserk valor surge came in clutch for me during the story mission to find other quen. Those two damn bilegut on UH are a massive pain. I was able to get full valor surge after long battle, use it, and fly away lol. One of them killed the other, and then I killed the last

I'm at the final quest but putting it off for awhile to get some of the new gear. At 3000/ea that's a hard hit on your shard stash.
The "One quest in the Ruin" you mentioned was awesome I need to change my loadout as I set her up with the 4 hunter bow type you suggested in another video. Another learning curve and a great challenge on Normal (for me anyway).

I didn’t realize how used to 1on 1 fights with big machines I was until these groups of small machines kept killing me 😅. I didn’t even notice the new rope caster had normal ropes either. I thought it was all canisters. Your tips will be very helpful. Much appreciated.

Regarding the grapple strike and how much I like the new last argument spike thrower, they both complement each other really well, load the spike thrower with 5 knockdown power (+ the extra 25% for fully upgrading it) makes it 100% extra knockdown power and mixed with the 4% chance of insta brittle, makes it so nice because then you target the spot that the grapple strike leaves with a shrapshot bown and BOOM, damage go brrr.

I feel the quen deadeye outfit is a nice mix of range and stealth, with the new elite weaves for concentration (since it doesn't have deep concentration perk, one of the weaves with that, is just great), really love it, and brooooooo when i did *that sidequest* and got the last argument spike thrower i cheered so hard and yes. I've defo used the new legendary ropecaster several times, because as you said, the group of small machine, sheeeesshh, specially the group of birds in *that* main mission xD heck.
Yeah the ropecaster really comes in clutch lol. And I was super stoked when I got the spike thrower too! 😁
Finally some love for the Chain Burst VS!
A great chain burst strategy is: group/corral machines > activate chain burst > drop smoke bomb > knockdown/bind > brittle machines with sun scourge > Elite Arrow Shots with Iriv Downfall into machine's eyes (unofficial weak spot)

The Legendary ropecaster and Legendary spike thrower with Drill Spikes are both game-changers. I recommend acquiring and upgrading them first, at least if you are on Ultra Hard.

Agreed. But you can leverage the new hunter's mark or chain burst. For me, the real question is, do the perks of the new hunter's mark valor only apply to hunter bows? Or can I mark with a hunter bow and switch to Elite Arrows on my Elite Critical Coiled Iriv's Downfall? ArkTix should know this by now me thinks.
i rolled credits yesterday but still didn’t know some of this. I am going to have to try out some more valor surges it looks like. Currently trying to track down all the brimshine to upgrade new gear. that is when i don’t get distracted just flying around looking at stuff.

Have you ever considered using the new Skyhammer blastsling for inflicting the brittle state instead of The Sun Scourge? It is more resource efficient and does more buildup per bomb, plus you can use sticky bomb to boost the buildup even further!😎

Soaring into the beautiful clouds (yes you can do that now) and then diving underwater, all in a matter of mere seconds, in an open world game with this much detail, with zero loading screen or slowdowns, is a technical miracle. Guerilla should be proud of this feat.
Some players, including you, were recommending to keep resources for upgrades.-Did any of those marked as “valuables to sell” in HFW turn into something more useful? What about pouch upgrade resources (animal skins and bones). Does TBS need those?
Had a ton of fun looking for brimshine so i could get all the coils and everything upgraded just missing 1 machine kill while using glider and specter gauntlet and 1 kill with the new grapple move and 100% the entire dlc and completed arena good amount of brimshine from that and some nice coils.

Hoping to see some stuff on the new weapons and weaves. I had gotten the platinum a while back but after 95 hrs as soon as I got it I switched games so coming back watching your guides Ive been playing like zero dawn and finally listened and switched up my load out and decided to try a low health build and had burning shores since the day it came out but I went back and finished all content from the main and finally getting to the burning shores

Thanks for another great vid. Just one question I also raised on your older tips video: How can you properly slide dodge without ending up crouched all the time? Jumping for me doesn't work, and square again feels cluncky. Really struggeling with that one.
Sprint forward after a slide into dodge roll.
Avoid any terrain that can obstruct Aloy. Turn on Auto Sprint. Make sure she is running. Keep pushing your left analog stick when you press square. Press O twice when she slide animation almost stops. You can equip evader weave if you wish. Practice makes perfect so pick a fight with a slaughter spine and bring plenty of rich meat and cleanse potions.

Hey ArkTix, hope you are good. How would you coil, weave and loadout Aloy for an epic grappling strike build?
Long time no see, are you ok?
Well to do grappling Strike you need Knockdown and Shock. The new Drill Spike with 40% DoT and 25% KDP is just great for that.
Shock is more difficult, the new legendary boltblaster has shock ammo and with MFU coils and Spreadshot, they can work for close combat fine. AR Shock Shredders are also always nice, use MFU coils if you are in that close range and working with melee anyways.
Don´t know if the jump off after the grappling strike has the 20% impact damage bonus has Jump Off skill, need to test that if i get my game running again.
The new Hunter Bow with MFU and Close Ranged weapon perks seem a good fit for close range, high damage Single Shot occasion like detonating a Resonator Blast.
If Grappling Strike triggers MFU, needs to be tested, if the Melee Capsule work with that resonator also, maybe it is possible to chain two attacks together this way like Knockdown --> Grappling Strike --> Detonator : Shock --> Grappeling Strike.
Good secondary weapon could be the new elemental Warrior Bow, with MFU coils it´s supringsly usefull.

OUTFIT: Quen Commander weaved with elemental spear +2 & resonator blast +2
WEAPONS: Emperor's Reign, coiled with 5 Melee-Followup coils. 5 knockdown damage coils cannot leverage grappling strike during shocked and binding states.
I always use the appropriate spear capsule on the machine (plasma for apex ravager, shock for apex tremortusk, etc).
I am testing Burning Shores on Very Hard because research data is easier to parse.
Preliminary Conclusion: The above build can decimate 80% of an Apex Ravager's full Health in just one "combo string" of: KnockDown/Binding/Shock > grappling strike > resonator window > overdraw shot into resonator blast. What are your thoughts on improving this build?
@@roominkpaper1945 For now i don´t see a lot better execution, and that sounds impressive: VH Health Ravager/Apex 2366/3549 so 80%=1893/2839
Being Low Low Health helps with the shot. Setting up Status effect might help, if you don´t use the shock.
I wonder if Melee Detonator get triggered from Grappling Strike, but if it worth the extra work?
You may try and work with Stamina Regen and Knockdown shot for reliable knockdown vs light and medium machines.
You could try and see what happens with Chainburst active. See how other VS behave.
I have a lot of problem with my game and can hardlly play and test, (ce10822-1 error), this is also the reason for the late answer, try to glitch my work around etc.
Looking forward to your weapons video, but for now I think I’ll just get and upgrade the legendary rope caster & the legendary spikethrower, as well as some of the new coils/weaves. I don’t think the new hunter bow looks better than tears of the land god at all and the new sharpshot bow is nice but idk if it’s Iriv’s Downfall with 5x crit coils nice.

Good advice to take your time on the main story, I rushed through it and it definitely felt pretty short. There is loads of side content though, probably 4x as much as the main story contains
Has anyone else noticed that after patch 1.21 it flipped the order that ammo is displayed for weapons equipped to your wheel? Has kinda thrown me off getting used to where things are again. For example on the ancestors return i instinctively reach for a shock shredder but instead have thrown a tear. Hopefully it’s a bug that gets fixed.

Yeah clamber jaws were pretty difficult. I dont believe i engaged too much with them and didnt like the tallneck section within a clamper camp.
I beat the horizon forbidden west yesterday. The last mission started off tough but got easier along the way. Your hints really helps. Unfortunately I had some glitch and I couldn't use any health potions during most of my playthrough. The shredder gauntlets were my favorite and I used them to clear a herd of monsters at a scavenger mission in the desert but because I went too far from my fire bristle back, even though I saw it dig up the loot, the game kicked my progress back to finding the mount to sniff our the lost gear. Lol.

Use the new berserk blast valor surge when you are fighting all those annoying groups of enemies.
Not only will it send them all into a frenzy and start attacking each other. But they also take damage after the effect wears off.

That cauldron fight was really difficult, took me over a hour because I kept dying sense it’s on ultra hard, a trick to get rid of some pesky nuisance is equipping either the shock explosion or berserk valor surge from the infiltration skill tree, good clear out and the berserk one recharge from itself.
Additionally I recommend to always have powershot surge on sense it requires the most charge and if you swap it to something you other need it will always be fully charged. I personally have found a fondness of the potion surge in the survival tree. Also a reminder as it is extremely useful, if you see a incoming attack hold for weapon wheel as it slows down and you can dodge in it, making it easier to time and remember to hold the dodge button to extend it as some attacks requires it. Finally if you are knocked down hold the heal button as it is one of the few things you can do meanwhile and lowers the chance of having to do it in a panic.
(Edit: also finally the big heavy weight overrides has uses to fight other machines as before the sights only just subdue them because of being alone)

Tho I must say, I bought a ps5 just for this dlc and man was it worth it for Horus part (you should know there is one, it’s freaking in the title screen) to say I’m pleased with it is a understatement, it was everything I wanted and more, wanted to cry from happiness, gone is the day of horribly giant bosses that was only a fragment of what you wanted.
