ive watched a few of your videos, all have been great...it is very difficult to find videos dedicated strictly to a "stream PC" build....i would love to see a build video based strictly on what it takes to run a multi stream platform at a high bitrate...no gaming...just a work horse, im currently trying to build such a pc...wish me luck lol
First off, I appreciate you being here! When you say "run a multi stream platform" do you mean the same stream to different platforms like TH-cam and Twitch at the same time? For a stream with no gaming at all, really a decent CPU like a 12900K or 14700K would get the job done, basic GPU only needed to be able to see your screen. Unless you're doing something else graphically intensive like 3d animating or something? As far as benchmarks go, I'd love to be able to do that, I just don't have the gear or funds for that yet. If I could get a company to send me all those cards I'd be more than excited to do so!
@@DevonDoesTech yes, in particular...there seems to be alot of encoding and rendering issues when trying to stream vertical and horizontally simultaneously, i was wondering if the different eras of graphics cards would provide different results in this scenario. Also i know that bitrate is almost primarily reliant on bandwidth, but if you increase the resolution your sending to the platform , ie. upping your stream from 1080 to1440, wont that cause a need for a higher performing encoder? on a personal note...im building a 12900k 4070ti super with 64gb ddr5 lol, so in a couple days i shouldnt have these issues lol
You are correct, upping the quality will indeed require an increase in bitrate to still look good. As for streaming Vertical and Horizontal, a lot of apps can do this now pretty free from too much extra resources as long as you're streaming the same thing. But something like the dedicated encoder and decoders on the 4090, 5080, 5090 will help with that. Hopefully we'll see even more of those soon. But you're 100% right, a 12900K with a 4070 Ti Super won't have any issues!
“As much vram as I can fit in my pint glass!” It is a good reference. There can be a quantity over quality in both situations. Like those ali express GPUs with the fake drivers that only last a year. The equivalent of cheap beer from the dollar store. Or, the good stuff 😅
Hey Devon love the vids. I’m a streamer/cc looking to upgrade my rtx 2060 gpu, my budget is around under 400$ range. I mostly do 1080p gaming and I want my streams to look better, what gpu do you recommend in your opinion for my case. Also feel free to ask any questions for more background info or anything like that. Awesome stuff and keep it up 👍
Unfortunately that's the budget range that's kind of strange right now. If you can get your hands on an Intel B580, those have had rave reviews and for $249 is definitely the best bang for the buck right now. Otherwise looking at eBay right now something like a 3080 at least gives you 10GB of VRAM. Otherwise the 4000 series is not great in this price range right now. If you're able to hold out until the 5000 series is here, hopefully we'll finally see some prices come down on a 4070 that would get it close to that price.
@@DevonDoesTech got it thanks. one more question if you don't mind answering I can buy the 4060 off of a friend who upgraded for 200$. and the 4060 seems like it performs better than the 2060 (if it's not by much please let me know thanks) is that something I should consider taking it off his hands or should I wait for the intel b580 to come back in stock? with all the hype I don't know if I can get my hands on the b580. but yeah stuck in this dilemma, appreciate you commenting back btw!
@KevjuGaming I'd definitely take the B580 over the 4060, but honestly for $200 you'd probably be happy with that upgrade. The extra dlss and upscaling you get with the 4060 can definitely help with the lack of performance increase.
Depends on what your budget is and what you're hoping to do and play. But I'd probably start with an i7-12700k or i9-12900k. Something like the i7-14700k would be great as long as you trust it. AMD side, I think the 9700X is one of the best cost to performance chips right now they offer.
i feel you on the OBS audio problems i went to the local music shop here the owner is in poor health & is in danger of closing so i went there instead of buying a dynamic mic online ...i was told to use this for a budget i actually picked one up with cord for 30 bucks used and 100 new i really want to go back later for the retro 50s mic but i left with the used just for testing. just need to get an arm and or stand now...
reference by me : 1. Budget : RTX 3060. choice this if you don't have any problem watt consumption. but still have consider with watt comsuption choice rx 6600 or rtx 4060. rtx 3050 both was trash gpu but if you have build pc and low watt psu, you can choice rtx 3050 6gb (but i don't any recommend this gpu except you need low-low watt gpu). 2. budget to mid : B580. 3. mid : rtx 3070, rtx 4070, rx 7700 4. mid to high : rtx 4070 ti super, rtx 3090, rx 7900. 5. high :rtx 4080, rtx 4090.
I think $499 I pretty solid for a 4070, would love to see it a little cheaper still. 7800xt still beats it in pure gaming performance for less, but for an Nvidia card, it's pretty solid
Busy day for content creators yesterday! Sorry I'm late again I had major issues trying to get multi streaming to work &I wanted to streak the original Friday 13th game 😅 barely made it but for the best it was just as hard as I remember 😅 from age 7
I haven't seen any video editing specific benchmarks yet but as long as it's using that av1 encoder, should be fantastic. The A770 I have is pretty solid.
anyone else having an issue with black text hard to see today in dark mode and having to switch to the horrible light mode to be able to see text while commenting? any way to change text color so I can stay on dark mode
I would rather use a potato. Nobody should support a super dishonest and super corrupt american company that sold millions of defective CPUs and refused to do a recall. why? because their GREED comes before the customer.

also benchmarks for each gpu...ex.3060ti 12gb gives you (?) bitrate vs 4060 8gb....and so on

There are definitely a lot of less expensive options when you don't buy something that says "Gamer" in front of it.

how's the b580 for video editing specifically?

i actually recommend the battlemage to people who dont need the nvidia
I have a feeling it's going to be recommended a lot this year!
@@DevonDoesTech oh yeah old friend from my old job asked & i told him since he was just gaming it was going to be the best deal
