    Tim after anesthesia 🤣🤣🤣 too funny!! Speedy recovery! Take the meds, stay on top of the pain. Typically the pain is the worst right after the numbness wears off but should get better each day.

    Hope you feel better Tim! I had not only 4 wisdom teeth removed a few years ago but also a fifth tooth that was dying. My biggest advise is Wendy's frosty's. The perfect consistency after a mouth surgery.

    I love the video. As a dental assistant, it's always interesting to see what instructions are given and how patients heal. The tea bag helps because of the tannins in the tea. We always told patients wet the teabag with ice water, bite gently for 20 min and the cold constructs the blood vessels, the tannins help clotting and constriction, persuade also helps stop bleeding. Hope you heal quickly

    When I got my wisdom teeth taken out, they were not breached and I had to have full on surgery but I remember feeling no pain at all. Also I didn’t get swollen and by the third day I was eating rice and pulled chicken. Obviously barely chewing and very softly cooked, but I was already eating solid foods. I think it’s a perfect example of the amazing job my Dr. did because I had lots of pain meds for various levels of pain and I think I only took one advil on that first night before the anesthesia wore off and that was it. Next day I just kept cold compresses on my face and was good the whole time. Very grateful to have had that experience. And I’m sure me and other love the home vlogs too!!! Get better soon Tim!!!

    Getting my wisdom teeth out was probably my best experience at the dentist, and it really does feel like time travel. It’s instant to where the second you wake up you have no clue they did anything to you yet.

    Glad to see the surgery went well Tim! I got mine taken out last year on the week of Thanksgiving, after suffering from Trismus for about a month. I would say it took me about 10 days before I could eat normal food again, due to it feeling uncomfortable (and fear of causing dry socket). Granted they had to do a slightly different extraction for my bottom teeth because they were both completely sideways, whereas yours were just pulled out straight, so I had probably had to wait a bit longer due to how it felt in my mouth.

  • @carinariegel1856
    @carinariegel1856 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I had all four wisdom teeth pulled out last year in a day surgery at hospital under general anaesthesia. Two teeth were coming in horizontally, another partially erupted and the other hadn’t come through yet. My recovery was rough. I was off work for ten days and couldn’t eat anything aside from soup, custard, mashed potato etc. for around two weeks. Best wishes for a speedy recovery, Tim!

    Hey Trackers! I know exactly what the doctor meant when he said “stones”. They are calcium stones blocking your salivary glands which can cause swelling. I had this. We were concerned when I swelled up but there is actually nothing to worry about. It’s actually quite common. After being in ER for 5 hours trying to figure out what it was , they sent me home telling me to eat sour candy as a remedy. Haha. So if you do happen to end up swelling from the stones, sour candy will help you to extra salivate and cause those stones to pop out :)

      Sour candies and heat will help depending on the location but you might have to eventually have it removed. I had my left parotid salivary gland removed because I had a large stone that was blocking saliva. It would hurt every time I ate. They couldn’t do the easy retrieval for this location so they had to remove the whole gland. If you feel a quick sharp pain when you start to eat, that is the stone blocking. I don’t say this to scare you, but just so you know. It took 4 ENTs before I found one that listened to me and helped me out.

    It’s amazing to see you visually recover so quickly! I got all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed in December, and it took me a week or two to recover; and my face was still swollen and bruised really badly. I couldn’t eat normal foods until the second week, but I ate nachos when I wasn’t suppose to (it was a New Years Eve party, so I couldn’t miss out on the good food lol). I learned my lesson because after that I got food stuck in one of the holes and caused it to swell up and bring back the pain again. But all is well now!

    Hi Trackers, Just want to let you know that you were right the show Pam & Tommy could be on Disney plus in countries outside the USA because Hulu is a USA-only streaming service. And shows that are on Hulu get put on Disney plus and Hulu-like streaming services depending on what the country has.

    Feel better Tim! I had my wisdom teeth pulled about 5 years ago I think. My dr only numbed my mouth and was able to pull all 4 teeth in less than 15 minutes! No sutures, just had to eat soft foods and couldn’t drink through a straw to prevent I think it was called dry socket. Rough couple days, but I want to say about day 4 or 5 I was able to eat comfortably.

  • @loridechant793
    @loridechant793 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Tim have worked in oral surgery for 25 years. Food tolerance varies with everyone. Start with soft comfort foods and try more dense food when you feel you are able. Most people are back to their baseline in a week. Stay on the Motrin as it’s dosed for the first few days. Don’t wait for discomfort, you want to be ahead of it. Swelling will peak on day 3 and then slowly go down. Ice the first 2 days and sleep with head elevated to help minimize swelling. Overall it looks like your doing well. Feel better soon!

    You had a productive day Tim! 👍. You’ll feel back to normal in 3-4 days, but you’ll be glad you got those buggers out now rather than latter in your life. Hang in there!

    Pam & Tommy is available on Disney+ outside of the US. It’s on Hulu which Disney owns in the US. But I hope Tim is feeling much better!

    Speedy Recovery Tim. I got mine taken out in 2017 and the surgery was painless because of the anesthesia. One was partially erupted and the other three were fully impacted

    Had my wisdom teeth removed only by local anesthesia, 2 by 2. It can be done if they are fully out like yours. Had no swelling, no pain and the next day I could eat already again almost normal. Specialist told me that it’s only done ( here in Belgium) when you are not afraid of dentist, after taken pictures of the teeth and by request. They are much more careful doing it, have to comfort you etc. So it’s more difficult for them to do it. I can only recommend it.

    When I got mine out, they did one side at a time cause they had to cut the gum and break my teeth cause all 4 were completely under. Super pain for a couple days, maybe started eating regularly about day 4 or 5. We have this liquid breakfast in Aus called up&go and that was all I ate, plus porridge/congee. Hope you heal quickly!

    Tim please do not eat normal food until a week after! It could dislodge the clot and you could get dry socket! also make sure to rinse with saltwater !

    The tannic acid in real tea helps with clotting, which is why it was suggested. Surprised it wasn't told to Tim to do from the first, as I was when my wisdom teeth were removed years ago.

    Hey Tim! I had the exact same experience as you had for the extraction. However, I was not able to eat the specific types of foods on the recommended days. I was able to eat mushy rice crispy cereal after 5 days 😂😅. On day 7 I could eat scrambled eggs and a hashbrown. I couldn’t eat mac n cheese until day 10. And around day 12 I was “back to normal” but I had to take small bites. Go with your feeling and don’t try to go hard at eating your food. If it breaks open and blood comes out, you could have a very bad infection and you’ll need to see your dentist asap. Good luck!

    Hi Tim and Jenn! Love your videos. I got my wisdom teeth out a few years ago. My recommendation is to keep ice on each side it helps with the swelling and reduces pain. I went back to my normal diet after about a week. But after a few days started to have soft foods like pasta. Wishing you a speedy recovery!

    I have had both bottom wisdom teeth removed. They didnt cause too much trouble. I ate sift foods for about 4 to 6 days. Then, Added more solid stuff. Fast, full recovery!

    They told my nephew minimal talking, and that’s tough for him to do. 4 hours later he was back at the dentist to be restiched.
