Jen, you can see how much Tim loves you as he watches you when you're speaking. ❤ 😊 It's so heartwarming to see. You both have such a wonderful relationship together and with Jackson. Cherish each moment together and thank you for sharing your family adventures with us ((hugs))❤
I'm happy to see you guys finally enjoy Fort Wilderness in an RV. Fort Wilderness is our favorite place to stay at Disney. FYI- RVs typically have a 6 gallon hot water tank. Got to time those showers out.
Absolutely loved your video. My brother and I have been rv-ing for the last 4yrs and love the simple vacation. Listening to the rain hitting the trailer or awning, campfires, playing board games. Soooo happy you guys made this video.
I'm 50 and have been camping since I was 4! I've basically grown up in a camper. We take my parents camper now so my son can get the experience. He loves it as much as I do. We haven't been as much since my mom passed away 3 years ago but I want to start going more again. I'm glad y'all enjoyed your first RV trip.
From being an RV owner, for future tips.....set the outside awning first. That way in case its raining, your shoes, chairs and outside furniture won't get wet lol. Be careful during windy conditions too. AND, if you plan to buy a pull behind RV like you stayed in....make sure it has a sway bar attached to the hitch of the travel trailer. And don't EVER over inflate your tires. That's how separation happens and blow outs occur
We always rent RVs at the campsite also and when we had to take our shoes off we put down an old piece of rug so we could put our shoes on the rug and it would not damage the RV rug.
Although we have our own RV we do sometimes fly down and always use Meacham for our RV rental needs. Andrew and his wife are wonderful to deal with. Working with them has always been wonderful. Have a great time and maybe welcome to the World of RV fun!
I haven't stayed in an RV for along long time. However I have been in a tent recently and what I love is the sounds you hear at night that you wouldn't necessarily hear in a built up area. I also love the rain. Some months in the UK are not ideal to go camping though. I'd rather it be reasonably warm with no wind. Don't want to wake up with no tent freezing cold
Love Fort Wilderness ! Have stayed at most of the resorts at Disney, just stayed at Poly a few weeks ago n it was wonderful ,but there’s something so magical about the Fort. Just being outside so much , riding around in the golf cart, hearing the boats and the train (hopefully soon) watching the fireworks from the beach, decorating the campsite and golf cart, riding bikes……….it’s where we have made some of our best memories as a family☺️
RV camping for the 1st time means way over packing and alot of "Am I doing this right?" 😆 This reminds me of our first time trailer camping, managing the tanks, and learning about towing! Oh the black tank stories. EVERYONE has a good one. It was hilarious, stressful at times, and very fond memories. What a blessing your 1st experience together is at Disney. PS. If you truly get bit by the RV bug. The Tampa annual RV super show is the place to see and touch all the options out there.
Thank you for sharing fort wilderness. It’s been a place I’ve always wanted to stay. I have family who stay yearly. They don’t even go into Disney every year. They love just the friendships they have made through the years and stay 7 nights where families all come together each year to visit one another. Kid love all the activities at the Fort that many days they ask to just have more time playing than going to stand in lines at the park. The cost to stay at the fort is expensive so my family love to spend less time at the parks and more time where the kids are happy to be together each year.
We always have to turn our water on for small periods of time (get wet and rinse..) in order to preserve hot water. One of the joys of camper showers...😅😅
my husband and I love camping! we started out with a small 18 foot travel trailer and it was perfect. Then we started camping with a big group of friends and they all had larger fifth wheel campers with slide outs, and we had to keep up with the jones' and get a bigger camper. hahahaha. But we are back to the basics now. We just outfitted our jeep with a roof top tent and have a kitchen in the back of the jeep along with a water tank so we can go overlanding and primitive camp. We just had a trip this weekend and had a blast!! Welcome to the camping club! Hope you guys have fun! We hope to camp at fort wilderness one day!
The last time we stayed at Fort Wilderness was 1990. In the middle of June. In a tent. It was murderously hot and humid. And we still had a blast just being there 🙂🙃🙂
As a fellow RVer it's not really camping unless it rains when you're setting up or closing down, lol. But this brings good memories of when I was young and my family stayed at the Fort in our Winnebago 😊 Cant wait til the season open to go back down my Campground.
We are living full time in our 41 foot diesel pusher Motorhome. We live here in Kissimmee during the winter and travel throughout the country the rest of the year. There are sooooo many places to camp in Florida do much fun. We recommend it wholeheartedly. Great video.!!
Fort Wilderness is SUCH a vibe I love it sm. fun fact- my parents dog locked them out of their cabin in the rain a few years ago, resulting in the maintenance staff coming out to get the door open lol.
I just started watching your videos And really enjoying them. I can’t wait to one day rent an RV and stay at Fort Wilderness. It Looks like so much fun! I love seeing your story. Thank you for sharing!
We brought our trailer down from Canada last time we did DisneyWorld and stayed at Fort Wilderness. It made the trip so affordable for our family of 7. Highly recommend. The thing we loved most was how un-crowded it felt even at the end of the day, where in the hotels we've found that the crowds kind of follow you back at the end of the day. I'm really enjoying all your staycation videos and I'm so glad Fort Wilderness became one of your destinations!
We’re renting a 5th wheel for our trip this year. We stayed in one of the cabins on our last trip. Definitely looking forward to it. I’m worried though, once my wife stays in that 5th wheel I’m afraid she’s going to want one 😆
I love this! What a great idea. I have never stayed in an RV, so I liked the idea of other newbies experiencing it. In your live show, you mentioned the idea of buying or renting to travel to California. I love the idea of a Tracker Family Road Trip, but I would love to see you drive to California with the family in your Tesla, stopping along the way to stay in some interesting places - Airbnbs or other unique spots.
I love RV camping! We live in AZ so there's endless locations around us to go and explore nature. This is great to see it from a new perspective again because I've either lived in an RV or traveled in it for my entire life, and I feel it's easy to feel like you've done it all lol we even transformed a travel bus into a little home! but I can't wait to catch up on the rest of the trip and all the newness you all have to experience, so much love to the Tracker fam (grandpas and grandmas too)!! side note - I love how happy Jackson seems to be with his third adult helper c:
You may want to get one of those wildlife hunting cameras that hangs on a tree to get footage of animals if you want. Also, if you want an RV, you can take a road trip from Florida to California and film the whole trip.
This video honestly made me want to cry 😭. We had a travel trailer growing up, and we did most of our vacations camping. But right after I left for college, my dad passed away from cancer, and my mom sold the trailer, and I haven't been trailer camping since. Seeing you guys just starting out gives me so many memories of doing the same with my parents. I'm so happy for Jackson getting similar memories 💖 Also, Jen I have fallen out of those bunk beds 🤣🤣🤣 many times.
In all the years I have been watching The Tracker's, I finally got a 'like' on one of my comments from them and I am absolutely star struck and it has made my year! Happy Heart Day everyone! 💙♥️💙
When we go camping we have a little door mat at the door of our camper and leave the shoes inside in a bucket. But we also bring a little handheld vacuum for dirt.
Woah! It has been so long since I watched one of your videos it was so odd seeing a CHILD with you now instead of just you two. Very fun. The Fort is our favorite.
Enjoy your stay! I love camping…I’m looking forward to staying at “the Fort” one of these days!!! It’s the perfect thing to do as a family! Some of our best memories are from our camping trips.
I grew up camping! My parents bought a travel trailer when I was 5 and my brother was 1. We eventually moved to a large 5th wheel for easier travel and that’s how we did our vacations! Every summer we went somewhere new. I have such fond memories of camping and it’s much more cost effective than staying in hotels😊
Most people call Low pressure gas propane gas. Awesome to see you guys camping. I always envied people who grew up in Florida. Though I'm glad I can say at 49 years old I have been camping for 43 or so years.
Oh my goodness - Jackson's little voice in the background... "mini peas". I have always wanted to do an RV rental at Fort Wilderness, especially during Halloween. Loved this video - thank you for sharing your experience!
If you're taking a 12 minute shower in an RV, that might be about 8 minutes too long. We were taught to quickly wet, wash, quickly rinse and get out! No hair washing in the shower. That's done outside with a hose! :) I miss our camping days!
@@Workinggirlhomestead Out of curiosity, do you have a tankless water heater? This is their first time doing the RV thing. They may not have the special add-ons in the rental, and they may not know all the 'rules'. A small water heater isn't going to allow 3 adults to take long showers.
Nice travel trailer for you to rent - benefit of renting is set up is all done for you. We have Motorhome (bus style) RV and hope to get to Fort Wilderness one day with it. You picked a very deluxe RV resort for your first time for sure! Just a tip that RVers take short showers as hot water tanks in RVs are not that big. Really looking forward to rest of this series watching you guys and Jackson camping for first time.
reminds me when my grandparents where alive .. they use to take us grandkids .. all over ina rv.. we went to washington Dc one summer , we went to texas one summer .. , we did alot with them in the rv , it was great. i think before they past away they almost made it to all 50 states!
Welcome fellow rv people. The trick to the shower is get wet and turn off the water by the button on the head of the shower. Then soap up, then turn the water back on to rinse. You can't leave it contuse like at home or you will run out of water. Glad yall like the rv life stile.
My family rented an RV when I was a kid.... We went from Seattle to the east coast and back. It was so tiny! That was before pull outs and outside kitchens. But we saw so much! Good times.
Last year my family and I went to Fort Wilderness in a fifth wheel after the summer time crowds and our fifth wheel did heat up A LOT! We had to buy a portable AC but other than it being hot inside our fifth wheel we had so much fun staying there! There was so much to do just at the campground when you weren't going to the actual parks. We went to their little arcade and just explored and we had an amazing time! I know you guys will enjoy it a bunch!
Welcome to the RVing world. I always tell new campers, you have not camped until you have set up camp or packed up in the rain. Your initiation is complete. We started camping in a tent when our kids were infants. Now we “glamp” in our 5th wheel with our grand kids. Just left Ft Wilderness on January 15th. Love it there. It’s great family fun. Enjoy it.
my first and last trip to Fort Wilderness was with my sister and her hubby and three kids...it was before my sister passed away...im crying right now cause i miss her so much...but we had fun....the Wilderness Cabins sleep six ppl...it was when they had the hideaway bed in the wall....lol...i dont think they have them anymore....
When I was younger I would go camping with my grandparents it was so fun we would pull our own trailer behind a 1978 ford van 🚐 before they had mini vans we stay at koa camp sites I really miss those days and miss my grandparents
The bathrooms and showers are warm and spacious and great. We have a huge motor home but the showers are heated and fantastic. You can go up to the loops near the water and that’s my favorite.
We bought an E-Pro right before COVID hit and it has been the best purchase ever. We weren’t campers before but we took the leap. I want that Mickey ruggable.
We're looking at buying a fifth wheel RV at the end of this year and I'm so excited!!! Your vlogs lined up at the same time as us researching which RV to buy. So cool! Looks like you had a fun time
We glamp in a 37 ft. Class A Thor Challenger 2 baths and washer and dryer..My husband is the driver and I am the engineer. I hook up all the water, electric, cable and sewer! This is our 3d camper in 5 years. Love the glamping life❤️
Bought a 1963 vintage trailer in 2014 - no toilet, bad fridge, needed an extra big truck to pull her, but we travelled all around the Western states with one teenage kid that summer, amazing experience. Loved that old gal, and last yr finally found a good home for her to stay put. (She was a good guest bed and Christmas wrapping station on the back patio for a while!) If we did it again we’d get a light modern camper with all the bells & whistles. Still, managed to haul a lot of family furniture half way across the country, and no hotels necessary. Paid for herself, and priceless memories. Brother in law had a huge fancy fifth wheel for a while, but found the upkeep not worth the trouble. Esp hard times finding a place to park in many types of interesting more mountainous places one might like to visit. Smaller & lighter the better imo. Fun all around tho!
If you're going to camp in an RV you have to learn about Navy showers:) RV tanks are too small for ordinary showers - hot and grey. Turn water on, wet yourself, turn water off (usually there is a valve on the shower wand for this), soap yourself up, then rinse. If you need a long, hot shower the comfort stations at the Fort are very nice.
We did a cabin one year, one of my favorite stays. Had a golf cart too, spent part of one day just driving around checking out the rvs/campers that were there.
Camper tip: write down everything you wish you had brought and what you ended up not using.... Have fun cannot wait to see all the fun this week... TFS & Happy Camping
It makes me sad to see Pioneer Hall. I miss Hoop Dee Doo revue so much! I was just looking up everything camping at Fort Wilderness for a girls trip this summer. Looking forward to the rest of these vlogs!
Hi Tim and Jenn, Thank you for renting a Meacham’s Rv camper and for showcasing it on your channel. Full disclosure, we had absolutely no idea who you were when you rented (although we wish we did, LOL). That being said, you and your viewers would have experienced a true and honest way we provide our services. We are happy to hear you enjoyed your camper rental and the Fort, and we look forward to welcoming you back in the future!! Andrew and Carrie Meacham
I love my RV We went to Yellowstone, Glacier, The Grand Tetons from Ohio this past summer. The reason you are running out of hot water is you need to take camp style showers. Rinse your body then, turn off water and lather up, then rinse off. Very short showers because of very small water heaters.
as an avid camper, i found jen's excitement very cute ~ lol ... it was all so new & unknown to her 🤗 when tim was setting the tent and she said "he would find this easier if it weren't wet", my first thought was "he would find it easier if he had help" 😅 i know jen wanted to film everything, but when he was struggling to prop it up, i couldn't stop thinking "oh jen! take the other side and the two of you lift together!" lol ...
With the hot water turn on both the electric and gas water heater and shut off the water while shampooing and soaping up and then turn back in to rinse (bit be careful because water will be very hot when you first turn it back on.) We love our travel trailer and loved staying at The Fort last February and we are booked to stay again in May and I cannot wait! Hope you guys had a great time!
Jen, you can see how much Tim loves you as he watches you when you're speaking. ❤ 😊 It's so heartwarming to see. You both have such a wonderful relationship together and with Jackson. Cherish each moment together and thank you for sharing your family adventures with us ((hugs))❤

The bathrooms and showers are warm and spacious and great. We have a huge motor home but the showers are heated and fantastic. You can go up to the loops near the water and that’s my favorite.
I do hope one day we'll see you guys travel the country in an RV. Imagine the adventures.
Cool vlog on channel

Had the best time camping there..
The garage shelf has been put up??
We bought an E-Pro right before COVID hit and it has been the best purchase ever. We weren’t campers before but we took the leap. I want that Mickey ruggable.
Wildlife there is amazing!
Love the glamping life❤️
I think Tim and Jen should buy a RV and go to different RV locations 🤠👍🏻
My mom said the same thing.
Thank you for this I really want to do this we love camping, and you give more information than other people on TH-cam
Jackson: "Mini peas" 🥰
We did a cabin one year, one of my favorite stays. Had a golf cart too, spent part of one day just driving around checking out the rvs/campers that were there.
The blog is beautiful and wonderful 😭 I loved your choices in the covers 😍♥️♥️ I wish you success and happiness
I hope The Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue dinner show returns. It is so much fun!
LOVE that show so much!
Another great National Park for RVing is Acadia, in Bar Harbor Maine. We have been many times. Very nice in the Fall.
Camper tip: write down everything you wish you had brought and what you ended up not using.... Have fun cannot wait to see all the fun this week... TFS & Happy Camping
I'm with Jackson! Let's gooooo!
Ill be making a reservation soon! Been looking for a company to rent from at The Fort and based of this video i found who ill use!
Didn’t know we could do such a thing I will be giving you guys a call!
Sounded like Jackson said “more p(l)ease”. My kids used to say “peas” instead of “please”.
I always wanted to do this. Great video!
I thought the same thing!
I love my RV We went to Yellowstone, Glacier, The Grand Tetons from Ohio this past summer. The reason you are running out of hot water is you need to take camp style showers. Rinse your body then, turn off water and lather up, then rinse off. Very short showers because of very small water heaters.
I like the 57 chevy golf cart. Pop Century has/had one out front of the doors to the lobby.
as an avid camper, i found jen's excitement very cute ~ lol ... it was all so new & unknown to her 🤗
when tim was setting the tent and she said "he would find this easier if it weren't wet", my first thought was "he would find it easier if he had help" 😅
i know jen wanted to film everything, but when he was struggling to prop it up, i couldn't stop thinking "oh jen! take the other side and the two of you lift together!" lol ...
Camping trailers have small water heaters 5 gallon.
Been there in our in our every 4 times. Wish we could come more often but it is 5000 miles round trip from Montana. Thanks for sharing.
Fort wilderness is were we stay at everytime we go to Disney it’s so peaceful there!
You can see the fireworks at the beach which your already aware of
My favorite resort!
