I just ran the first weekend's fixtures (Friday 9th - Monday 12th August) through my own predictor thingy, and it came up with these results (listed in alphabetical order of home team):
Blackburn 2 Derby 1
Cardiff 1 Sunderland 1
Hull 2 Bristol City 2
Leeds 3 Portsmouth 1
Luton 1 Burnley 1
Middlesbrough 3 Swansea 0
Millwall 1 Watford 2
Oxford 1 Norwich 1
Preston 1 Sheffield United 1
QPR 3 West Brom 3
Sheffield Wednesday 4 Plymouth 1
Stoke 2 Coventry 2
I'm prepared for that to be totally wrong😄!
@rjjcms1 some interesting scores there, lots of goals on matchday 1!
Looking forward to seeing how many of these are accurate!
@@GamingBlomp Yes,a lot of drawn games there too and only poor old Swansea ended up without a goal. I may get a little incoming flak from fans of them,Plymouth and Millwall.
If you feel lucky, just leave out the middlesboro game and put a tenner on both teams to score. you'll make a fortune
@@kev5125 or just change that one to 3-1 and bet for everyone to score 🤣
with you on west brom being the package to go up ... leeds play offs and your way out with Burnley
@@DroneRunner1975 where do you think Burnley will finish?
Burnley have depth,as well as qaulity, they could lose around eight players and still qaulify automatically, however, it's a must for Leeds this season,so Leeds Burnley WBA for me.
@micktaylor891 I think that's a strong prediction. I can see Luton making the play offs but I'm worried for Sheffield United.
@@GamingBlompSheff U have made some good signings so far,but as for promotion,I believe they'll fall short, and Luton are steadily losing their Prem quality players.
@micktaylor891 who would you put in the bottom 3? Literally anyone could be good enough to stay in this league I don't think there are any stand out poor sides!
@@GamingBlomp Blackburn R,Oxford U & Portsmouth.
@micktaylor891 Blackburn is a decent shout actually... I think Plymouth will be right down there too.
Leeds couldn't do it last season, and are losing their best players to the top teams, so to say they will do it this season is ridiculous. 7th the very best they can hope for.
We’ve lost one key player from last season in Archie gray, who we’ve backed up with bogle coming in. Also with a couple strong loan players coming back so don’t know what nonsense your on about mate
@kev5125 I doubt they'll win it as convincingly as on the game but I can still see them winning the league. The teams who went up are better than those that came down. Difficult league to predict though.
@olliebrompton564 I think you'll win the league. Maybe not as comfortably as on the game but I'm not sure the championship is as strong as it was last year.
You talk a load of crap Millwall will not be near the bottom all season
@@michaelmorgan8539 who do you think will go down?
@@GamingBlomp Blackburn Oxford Plymouth
@@michaelmorgan8539 I have a feeling Oxford will fight for every point and do enough to stay up.
In the past 3 seasons in the Championship, Burnley have lost only 13 games😂
@@glynnewilson3559 I think they'll go up with Leeds...
rubbish portsmouth defo stay up
@stephenjames5676 easily, I don't think Wednesday will go down either but that's a tough league to predict.
@@GamingBlomp Agreed. I think Portsmouth will finish near half-way up the table and Sheffield Wednesday will be in the middle pack somewhere as well.
@rjjcms1 Wednesday finished last season strong. It's hard to predict the Championship, but I actually think Sheffield United might be in the relegation fight. Oxford might struggle too.
I think Derby will come about 15th or 16th and I have a sneaking feeling too that Oxford will fight all the way make the cut and quite possibly just succeed in doing so. I find the relegation places a lot harder to predict than the promotion and play-off places.
My prediction is also for Leeds to be champions by a country mile, and for either Middlesbrough or,now that the takeover's gomne through,West Brom to join them in the Premier League as runners-up. Burnley,Luton,Coventry and maybe Sheffield United and Hull to contest the play-offs,but my dark horse to cause a possible surprise is Bristol City!
That will never happen
@markellis3088 which part?
