I remember Michel Preud'Homme performances in 1990 and 1994 World Cups, and for me they were the most incredible performances I have ever seen from a goalkeeper. Technique, versatility, reflection, and an unbelievable ability to make certain saves holding the ball firmly, saves that any other goalkeeper would rebound.
He played almost all his career in Belgium, only at 35 he has transferred to Benfica. I.e., he has never played at a top club (R. Madrid, Barcelona, Milan, Juventus, Man. United, B. Munich, etc...).
