Thank you so much! And yes, it took forever but I'm glad to finally be here. I feel like I need to do some kind of celebration video. I did this video in kind of a hurry because I'm working on a Playstation documentary that's nowhere near ready, but I've been using Ocen Audio heavily to record the dialogue. But again, thank you for the kind words.
Thanks for the relatively clear assessment. I downloaded Ocenaudio years ago but hardly used it preferring Audacity. But having seen the current version and tried it out, I come to the same conclusions as you that it has so much going for it that it should be the preferred option. Audacity makes life difficult and takes a lot of research to puzzle how how to do even quite basic things but so far I am finding Ocenaudio a breeze and no problems yet. Great video. Thanks
Thanks for the overview. I am still using Audacity after the controversy (cheer laziness) but may give this one a chance as the visual editing looks so intuitive.
Hope it works for you, and if not there's always Tenacity too. I get not wanting to switch. Im still using Ubuntu 18.04 because I have so many things installed and don't want to to through getting it all setup again.
Ocen's interface is so wonderful compared to Audacity's (which look like 2004). Unfortunately it doesn't want to retain the registration for a VST plugin that I use frequently, and I have HORRIBLE latency during playback, and I cannot determine the problem either :(
How to remove Reverb / Echo from a simple vocal audio file? is there any good free AI noise removal for example to have a clear vocals out of a recording in a crowded environment , like a cafe shop or restaurant or stadium etc ? I'm using Tenacity, but I'm no professional , so It's good for me, how do you find it for more advanced cases?
@@DSTechMedia That was really helpful, cheers! But can you add a track to one that's already been recorded or do you need to make a new project and drag the two different tracks into it? It seems like a different way of working. 🤔
Damn Jay, congrats on the 1k! Well earned, and thanks for the tour, of the alternative.

I have just set up ocenaudio lite on a mac from the app store. Seems like I can't save as mp3, which is what I need. Confused....
How I should to set up recording using MIDI controller? Where I'll find recording sound option ? I tried to record, but it's going wrong
I don't think Ocen does MIDI controllers.
In the sound options you can set which sound system you're using.

Can you install it on a linux enabled Chromebook?
I don't see a reason why not, but I don't know.

I am sorry to say that, but you jump around between the options way too quickly to follow you and I miss a logical structure.

Which OS are you using it on? If Linux, are you using JACK or Pipewire?
not sure how to save a looped wav file ... havent seen the loop function
Agreed. I have been using Ocenaudio for years. Audacity's interface seems clunky in comparison.
And unreasonably slow too.

There's a plugin called DeRoom you could look into. Also media.io supposedly can do it. Good luck.
can i mix here?
You could, but it's not the most ideal mixing setup.
I have no idea what's happening here.
Its software for a computer that records sounds, hon.
How the fuck do I put two audios in one project is the question?
When you make a project you can select more than 2 channels.
@@DSTechMedia oh. thx

Way too technical a video. This is a review not a tutorial for beginners.
OCen not ocean, 🤟
Is it pronounced O-senn?
@@DSTechMedia yes
