    Approximate translation of the german part:
    Daniel Bangert was aware, that his data were collected but it's impossible to fathom to which extent that's been done. So he did some research about the NSA and found out, they had a station near to where he lived. He then organized a spy-awareness walk to the site. On the day of the walk, police knocked on his door to ask if it's a demonstration or a protest event, which he denied.
    He then contemplates that, if you know you're being watched, you start to watch what you think and write and even stop sharing your opinions because they could be seen as dangeros.

      im from Malaysia, and i believe my metadata is being exploit by im not sure which org exactly but what ever i search watch or download, some one or group of some people would made a visual contact almost like an intimidating nature, to make me acknowledge that i'm being watched.

      Thanks, I always appreciate when somebody takes the time to translate. and If I actually trusted auto-trans translation, I would have thought he was saying that he was a spy for the NSA, and works part time at the zoo located next door to the NSA, and feeds protestors to the lions, to demonstrate to the police, he's been watching them!! LOL JK but its probably not to far off!! Thanks again

      "He then contemplates that, if you know you're being watched, you start to watch what you think and write and even stop sharing your opinions because they could be seen as dangeros.
      "
      Right... exactly. That's called a panopticon. You know that you might be being watched, so you change your behavior based on that.
      For example, retail stores use cameras that you can't tell where they're pointed. If people in range of the camera can't tell if it is watching them many will simply assume that it probably is and not shoplift.

    I pay for TH-cam so I don’t have ads however I’m disgusted at how they suggest vids that have nothing to do with the content I watch. They also bring up out-dated content I’ve already watched. Constantly fighting this psy-op just to get to the content I prefer to see!
    Similarly auto correct is a constant fight and I think it’s designed to create frustration and measure your reactions... the key is awareness.

      Is it possible that now there are subtitles (captions) in English _ONLY_ for that section of the video and for no other portion? I store the transcripts for videos I download and see only 12:08 to 14:31 in the transcript, which you can examine by pressing the "..." below the viewer above, and choosing the middle option. For your other documentaries, I see a more or less complete transcript.

      @vprodocumentary  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Andrea,
      There are captions but unfortunately, for budget reasons we do not caption the English spoken parts. We are sincerely sorry for the inconvenience.

    • @aggedyran
      @aggedyran 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I understand the time and cost of captions, I work at a university where everything must be captioned, by law. They have had to hire a captioner to keep up with campus needs. I've been a sign language interpreter for 19 years....so I spend my days with Deaf students, and they need to know about these kind of things as much as the rest of us - even moreso, since they lack access to all kinds of information.
      I enjoyed this video and shared it anyway, even though many of my Deaf friends were bummed. Normally, I never do that. It's an affront to them, extremely frustrating, and actually illegal. I hope in the future you can crowdsource captioning, or write a grant to cover the cost. There are funds available to make good information accessible to all.
      Thanks for responding.

    I did not use facebook on a regular basis. I only joined really late in 2016 to keep in touch with family. But since then Whatsapp did the job but even now that is owned by FB who broke their promises not to monitize it with advertising. I logged into FB maybe once a month. Since camebridge i have deleted FB knowing that they have almost nothing on me since i never stayed more than 5 min. Google is another one i use and they have more than anybody. I might have to start changing IP addresses or go through VPN's soon to stop people from identifying me. I dont accept third party cookies They are blocked by default. I control what cookies are stored and who wants to store them. I block all javascript by default which destroys a lot of the web i visit but id rather hit the back button than allow some random entity access to programming language to manipulate my machine. Even deleting cookies automatically after a visit the info was gained but at least they cant track me from one site to another. Google can do that but not some random website i visit. Its scary how much we are being watched and profiled. I have been watching a lot of "alternative" documentaries here on YT so i guess the GCHQ knows about me now. I rejected an android update on my Huawei P8 lite yesterday cos i wanted to see the privact policy but when i clicked on the policy it took me to a page that did nto exist. Scary. I did not install the update and came here looking for Huawei so i could ask them, in a public forum, to post that they need to make the privacy policy available. This clip was in the suggested column on the right...go figure.

I dont care that the guardian newspaper in the UK pesters me to unblock them. If you do unblock them you will be served with 30 scripts none of which you know what they do, where they come from or who is servign them and for what purpose. Ads are bad.

    The Santa Cruz police stats seem like a self fulfilling prophecy.
    The presence of police in an area where crime has not been predicated, would help to lower criminal activity. On the flip side, the non presence of police in the areas highlighted by the model would not have a preventative effect.
    It would also be interesting to see the crime levels in areas where the police were not operating, because they were in neighbour hoods dictated by the model.

    100% they are not using this yet. Either they see problems with it, or it does not work. I live in a high crime, high drug area, and you NEVER...NEVER see a high police presence, so where are they? I'll tell you, when they are working( the police) they are socializing, on their phones, in social media, or doing other things other then police work. This was 2013? It is now 2019, you do not see an iver abundance of arrest, nor crimes solved. What you do see is the same problems growing in record numbers ,crime, and drugs. So to me this is a big crock of bull shit!

    If these algorithms are any good at recommending stuff to me, can they please stop shoving the same 7 annoying ads and start showing me things I’ve been actively searching for the past three months?!?! I don’t need a website or a course about getting rich holy fuck I need a formal/chic bag that can fit a 14” laptop 🙄🙄 if advertising was helpful instead of annoying I wouldn’t mind it tbh

      Midrolls/ads are automatically placed by TH-cam and are supposed to balance the viewer experience and the ad revenue. We evaluated the amount of ads that are placed in our videos and decided to decrease the amount. We will also give this as feedback to TH-cam.
      Thanks for the effort of leaving a comment and hopefully you will keep on watching our videos.
      If you have more feedback, feel free to email us at youtube@vpro.nl

    Cops predicting crime by subtle tell tell signs... Yeah right! There is a real easy way to test this hypothesis and make lots of money if it works. Somebody should tell them about poker! They'll get rich in no time.

    It doesn't matter as much as they make it seem.
    Actually it's completely invisible and really inconsequential.

      It doesn't matter as much; it just generates millions of dollars to certain people while re-estructuring the users' minds,
      creating reactionary clickbait material to make people keep discussing as a normal means of information, whether its real or fake.
      Totally invisible and inconsequential, sure.
      For the simple minded (MUH BURGUER - MUH TV - MUH GENDER - MUH GUN) certainly must look like it.

    I wonder how all humans will behave knowing this. We can gathered false data we can Prank this usurpation. 🤗😁😎. Pranking AI is the future. You know you have succeeded if you receive strange suggestions or encounters; that would be very funny. Don't forget you can always use cheap encryption services. 🤓
