This is one of my top games... It has been great to play with people newer to gaming and it's been a long time hit with my friends and family. The expansion made this game better, where it gave a lot more choices. Every time I play it I find a new strategy on what to do. Fences can seem repetitive, but maybe you'll focus more on aquatic dinos and won't need them as much. Having to get goats is a good way to keep things closer with your opponents that only have herbivores... The other thing I really like about the game is the production, it's top notch with all the wooden pieces and the nice dual layered player boards. Also after seeing the changes to the board with the new expansion on gamefound I'm even more excited as they have made some lesser used spaces feel much more usable. Great review Alex
I've played plenty of games where I never bought fences. Plenty of games that I've never gotten goats. Plenty of games where I've gotten zero manipulation cards. I've even gone entire games without building a second hotel. So many great directions you can go into.
Of course Dinosaur Island deserves an alternative mention here, but the major thing to note is it does not have unique dinosaur attributes. For me this puts Dinogenics far ahead in terms of theme.
In terms of availability might be worth noting this game is also on BGA (currently in beta but should be fine for most part) if people want to try before deciding if they would like to back it or hunt it down.
Good point on the goats and fences. I have played it once and I felt it was a bit long but didn't consider why. Now you mention it I was carnivore heavy. I was using 2 workers a round on goats and 1 on fences another digging for a dino set. I was lacking choices so spent a lot of downtime.
glad to see you are slowing down your speech a little makes the videos much more chill and watchable. Still needs a bit more speed knocking off but its definitely better.
You can always change the playback speed of the video to 0.75 which might be more to your liking and you get the added benefit of the hilarious drunk Alex voice pack.
While I enjoyed playing this game, I’ve typically seen the player ahead in score run away with it. The game rewards being in first with gaining more visitors and it’s almost impossible gaining ground.

If you’ve played them, how do you compare this to Dinosaur Island / World in terms of overall enjoyment?
Are you going to prepare a video about the Cloudspire? It is currently on the Gamefound and didn't see any actual video.
I also vote for a cloudspire video.

They fixed that with some new rules in the expansion (Corporate Bailout) that can actually be implemented in the base game.
