Y’all stat nerds are not going to change my mind about what I saw with my own two eyes in 2011. Derrick Rose every night was facing entire game plans to contain him because he alone was the offense for the Bulls. If you take LeBron off that Heat team they go from 2nd seed to 5 or 6. You take Rose off that Bulls team and they go from 1 seed to 7 or 8. He was that instrumental and valuable to the team that finished with best record in basketball. How is that not the MVP in the league? Because he didn’t average more points than another guy?
I still think Lebron deserved it in 2018. Jokic got it in 2022 for carrying a team to 48 wins, Lebron couldn’t get it despite playing every game, winning 50, and averaging 28/9/9 on 54% from the field?
If KD and Steph were disqualified for being on the same team in 2017 then by that same logic Lebron and DWade were disqualified from winning MVP PERIOD!! That’s why Iverson won in 2001. You simply can’t have a better/more talented team yet have a worse record.
I don’t think they were disqualified because of that. Westbrook was just overwhelmingly the MVP that year. LeBron got one first place vote. The closest to Westbrook in first place votes was Harden with 22.
Steph had a case in 2017 the problem was he had a drop off from 2016 which was admittedly maybe the greatest individual season of all time that’s why people overlooked him that year but you can definitely make an argument for him. As far as kd he was never really in the running he missed 20 games that year and if I remember correctly the warriors won at least 16 of those 20 games he missed him actually being out strengthened Steph’s case imo but kd didn’t really have a case that year

Swippa is confusing being the better player than being the mvp, rose lead the bulls to a better record than lebron with significantly less help and in the same conference, there’s no way he wasn’t the mvp. Bulls without rose are bottom in the east, heat without bron still make the playoffs, rose was more VALUABLE
As far as kd he was never really in the running he missed 20 games that year and if I remember correctly the warriors won at least 16 of those 20 games he missed him actually being out strengthened Steph’s case imo but kd didn’t really have a case that year
Man Rose was killing on a squad with only him really putting up crazy numbers. Bron on a Superteam with 2 other 20 point ppg games shouldn't have even been in consideration.
The Bulls made the Playoffs with D Rose as the 5 seed btw
Just like Kobe was robbed in 09 and 10 but okay. Make excuses for y’all king. Dude was on a Superteam in the weaker conference and they gave him 2 more MVPS yet they didn’t wanna give KD any MVPS when he went to the Warriors. Bunch of clowns.
Bron deserved MVP both years, Kobe was a deserving second place lol
@@X02Overdose Yet Kobe was winning championships. You sound like a square.
@@PraiseThaDon Ok did KG or Paul Pierce deserve Kobe’s MVP when they blew his ass off the floor in 08? lol I think not… the only square is you 😂
@@X02Overdose You’re defending another man that’ll never know you exist 🤣. And if you really think Paul Pierce deserved MVP, you’re not all there. You already aren’t cuz you’re a Lebron fan 🤣. And, KG wasn’t T Wolves KG but you tried but since you wanna go there we can do that. IG Tony Parker in 2007 deserved MVP huh? IG Dirk deserved it over D Rose in 2011 right? How bout Kawhi in 2014? Did he deserve it over KD? 🤣 see how your logic is flawed. You’re trying and it isn’t working. You can enjoy that mute tho. Ik you’ll respond again bc you’re a social reject. Go head defend Lebron like you’re his wife 🤣
@@PraiseThaDon I will say this Kobe does have a right to be mad about 09 and 2010. I understand why lebron won those but kobe could’ve won at least 1 of those. Most MVPs come down to 2 or 3 guys anyway but if kobe was ever robbed or felt like he deserved more don’t look at 06 and 07 look at 09 and 10
Derrick Rose deserve that mvp you take them off that team and they barely make the playoffs
Sometimes when in the MVP you don't have to be better than the person it's the Good year that they are having in the impact that they have on the team and Derrick Rose was that guy
Bron don’t even believe this lmao
Ain't no party like a Diddy party
LeBron was good in 2011 but he wasn’t outstanding above his other performances. Plus he was paying Miami tax.
Y’all looking at things now lol , but back in 2020 , after that weekend when the lakers beat the bucks and clippers, lebron shot right up to neck and neck with Giannis or took the lead in MVP. The lakers were going crazy too, I remember they had a stretch they was 28-2 in 30 games. Lakers was rolling that year
Yeah, and Bron had AD who was the Lakers best player. There's no way Bron should have been in the discussion over his own teammate.
@@remnant8898 That’s why AD didn’t win DPOY because the media couldn’t justify giving LeBron mvp votes if he had a DPOy and arguably the better player on his team 😂😂. The media is sick when it comes to LeBron
@@austinburwell5834 AD didn't deserve the DPOY award, Giannis did. LeBron didn't deserve the MVP award, and AD was the most valuable player on the Lakers.
How're you making an argument for a guy that needed a top 5 player on his team just to compete?
Love how everybody there kinda like the old school open court wen all the greats chop basketball
I’m confused for the reason for why people thought luka should have won the mvp this previous season but the same case can be made for rose outisde of thinking rose was a top 5 player
MVP is about the best player on a top team in the season, it not the best player in the league. Michael Jordan should have won more regular season MVPs then as well.
That definition shouldn’t be concrete because if so, Russ wouldn’t be an MVP winner. Also Embiid wasn’t on a top team in the season if Heat weren’t a top team in 2010-11.
Michael didn’t deserve it in 93 or 97. 97 he could argue maybe but he took his foot off the gas towards the end. Karl caught up by passing him in PER plus the jazz won 60+ games. In 93 no Charles and Hakeem deserved it they played much better than MJ in 93. MJ had a wrist injury that year that kinda messed up his shooting.
Lol, so 1 time donovan mitchell shoulda won MVP over being a top seed? DRose winning MVP was pure marketing for the league, he was 25ppg with 6 ast lol and in Chicago. It’s the truth and deep inside drose fans knows it
@@chay770 He did win a narrative mvp but stay with me. Boozer and Noah missed a lot of time. Rose still lead them to the best team overall and the best defense. He and the Bulls embarrassed Miami in the regular season they swept them. Miami struggled against top teams that whole season plus LeBron averaged 26.7, 7, 7 which isn’t too far off from rose plus presumably more talent on his roster so i can see an argument for lebron which is why he was 3rd but rose won that fair and square. And just too add Chris Bosh that year said rose was mvp.
@@austinburwell5834 M.J. was still the best player in the league and he didn't win MVP every year, it's about the best player on a team that still wins with not the best team. A player that makes it work with not having a stacked team. LeBron has had a lot of teams that have been stacked and under performed in the regular season so often.
its crazy that its been 6 years since an American player has won the MVP
While i think that rose season is overstated a lot... but come on man, the most convincing argument for rose is that he git his team as high as they did WITH the injuries that they had to some of their best players....
Lebron didn’t get it bc he was on the better team who was favored by a mile and should have won the number 1 seed

Bron deserved the 05-06 MVP, but Marz never want to bring that up. Finished second, people act like Nash stole it from Shaq or Kobe, but it was Bron.
Don’t act like Dwight Howard didn’t have other all stars (Jameer Nelson and Rashard Lewis) on his team.
One of Steve Nashs MVPs coudve gone to Bron as well. Ppl only look at 2011 and after. Also youll see alot of MVPs going to the PER leaders of the season over the years.

Not saying Nash was undeserving tho
I personally will give Steve Nash his first MVP. I understand why they gave him the 2nd one but i believe dirk had a better case. But we cant deny that Nash did have a strong case for MVP in 05-06
nah, Jokic first mvp is a make a wish because he won it by default when Joel and Bron didn't play enough games. Some people argued CP3 shoulda got the mvp. Joel Embiid for all his health issues DESERVED the 23 mvp easily

Lebum wasn't robbed of anything. He just wasn't good enough. Excuses always from LBJ fanboy's who don't know a damn thing about basketball. Lebum is a chosen one from day one and that's why he can make no wrong in the media's eyes. How xome they don't call out his flopping, traveling and constantly complaining to the ref's and not getting back on defense. That aint no goat, some people are just delirious. It's not hating on the guy but some facts need to be called out because some people are blind to them, how convenient and how weskly minded thinking all because your obsessed with a man that cares more about himself than basketball or helping out his team the right way.
Didn't the Heat beat the 1 Bulls team that year.....lol he only called Rose the MVP that year
@@killaGPD We talking about a regular season award buddy
Mvp is a regular season award
Rose carried the Bulls offensively with his #2 being Luol Deng. Beat Miami in their regular season series and got the #1 seed. And whether we like it or not, narratives DO play a role in who gets the mvp, get over it. Not to mention there’s historical precedent that players on Super teams don’t win MVPs. Nobody was giving Lebron an mvp after forming a superteam and going “Yea we did that and we’re winning 7 chips”. Rose was more valuable to his team and had a better narrative. Stop this foolishness

Dude in the beanie is arguing “better” and the ZZ is arguing “value”! MVP is about value not better. The two things are not synonymous although they often align. In this case Lebron may have been better but he was NOT more valuable to his team than DRose was that year. Hence DRose got the award!

Lebron was not THE best player on any of those superteams; he was ONE of the best. The same people that are ready to disqualify Kobe from the goat debate because he played with Shaq will willfully omit the fact that Lebron played with DWade, Bosh, Kyrie and Kevin Love.
Carrying a team as its sole or main leader is not the same as being on a team so good where other players tone down their games to allow you to lead.
