Draymond green does more than Klay in that warriors system so wth are they talking about?? He’s the best defender on the team. Top 2 playmaker and the best passer. Klay isn’t the best at anything on the warriors. Draymond plays the 5, can guard the teams best player, and can anchor an elite defense. Del and Ox just simply don’t like Draymond. And for del to say klay is better than draymond right now is just funny.

Draymond Green would be invisible playing next to a Lebron, Luka, Harden, Kyrie, Dame type player.
He literally wouldn't have ANY role on offense playing next to anyone other than Steph, that "point forward" nonsense wouldn't be applied.
Draymond "unlocking" people with his passing is such a canard. Making passes off the short roll playing 4 v 3 basketball and faking DHO's because of Steph's gravity isn't "point forwarding"
I respect Draymond's ability to make the right pass and make it accurately while playing 4 v 3 but his passing and it's impact are WAYYYYYYYYYYY overstated.
Big props to dude using the Lebron hypothetical to illustrate who Draymond is as a player.

Klay was the key cog in the most pivotal games/series within the Warriors dynasty…I think a prime reference point is the confidence the Warriors had as far as the ability to win the chip against Toronto in the absence of KD…when Klay got injured we all know there was no chance of winning, mind you Dray was still healthy…we also have a sample size of partial and full seasons without Klay and a healthy Draymond and the Warriors struggled mightily…Klay>Draymond

It’s crazy how overrated Draymond has become because guys like marz want to sound smarter than everyone. All this “you can’t replace Draymonds value as a point forward/distributor” is such nonsense. Draymonds passing/distributing is just him standing at the top of they key, letting curry/Klay/KD run their off ball actions and then throwing them an easy pass after they get wide open. Damn near anybody can do it. Bogut did it, pachulia did it, Livingston, igoudala, it’s not hard. And in transition he was actually terrible. He constantly threw balls out of bounds, made way more bad passes and turnovers than good passes in transition. The reason he was the guy they had passing the ball in those scenarios is because he was so terrible at everything else offensively that he had to do that to be able to stay on the floor. Calling Draymond a playmaker is just insanity. He gets assists and makes easy passes based on all his teammates drawing attention/making plays, he’s literally the opposite of a playmaker. He’s the guy benefiting from others making plays.

Yeah, Iggy, Livingston, Bogut and Pachulia can make those reads....
But how many of those players can make those reads while being an elite defender who can switch 1 through 5?
Because that's why Draymond was so valuable. With him on the court, you had a guy that could make passes to open shooters and defenders multiple positions.
The only thing he couldn't do was score. And he more than understood it and compensated for it with other parts of his game, plus some of the nastiest moving screens I have ever seen to get players even more open.
