G-Dragon is a fashion icon, not only in Korea but also in Europe where he has collaborated with major fashion houses, he has his own fashion/art line (peaceminusone), and has been attending the Chanel fashion shows for years. He is known for his androgynous style and has been rocking Givenchy, YSL and Fendi before anyone else thought to. Respect a well dressed king. Side note, GD saves Kpop every time he and/or BB have a comeback. VIP's will wait.

2nd generation kpop fans didn't listen to 1st generation Kpop either. He is in the 3rd generation wave, this is his generation (when he got into Kpop). Reaction videos have always been about the views, hype, and recently money...even during the second generation wave. At least he is giving the 2nd generation a try per viewer request.

King of kpop -- G-dragon He changed the age of kpop, one of the reasons for the most beautiful city in Korea. Also named Korea's greatest invention. It's the tallest and most expensive artiste in Korea.
Korea usually has the latest fashions and skincare first and in a few years those trends make their way to the USA. Also G Dragon is a bit of a fashionista - friends with Karl Lagarfeld etc and attending fashion shows. Also with regard to tattoos - back when I first started listening to kpop and watching kdramas - tattoos were really just for thugs and tattoo shops are illegal I think in Korea. It hasn't been until the past several years that tattoos became more accepted in korea - but I imagine old people in korea probably still think of it as something only thugs have. There are bath houses in korea you can't go to if you have tattoos even. So g-dragon having so many tattoos has a different mystique in Korea then it does in the USA, esp back then

The "Anthem" part is everywhere throughout YG idols song. BigBang obviously have it, BP, iKON. I'm not sure about other group but it's surely pretty common in YG.

Givenchy was -very- popular in kpop in 2012. It was popular in 2011 when the F/W collection dropped. Half of all male idols were wearing the rottweiler gear. Back then, globally, Givenchy was a big deal. A few of their collections in a row were astronomically popular.
