I am starting a YT channel. I have gotten some great advice in my research on how to start and grow a channel/following... but this video has been, BY FAR, the most helpful. You have inspired me to write out a ton of topics and record at least 20 videos from that list before I launch my channel. I have 9 of those videos recorded, edited, and ready for upload. This has taken the pressure off of me to come up with new content each week. You give such great advice... very much worth our time as YT creators. This is worth paying for! This is amazing. I recently (september 2016) started a gaming channel. Last month I figured out how to make my channel pop and have shot up to 17k from 2k in 30 days. However, I've been getting a little bored of the gaming channel. I focus on one game, so maybe I just need to change up the featured content, but I cant help to think I have so much more potential to create quality content outside of the gaming world. If I decide to try new types of content, should I post it on the gaming channel and see how it does? Or should I create a new channel?
I started live streaming tournaments for some of the games i feature. Now over 25k. Live streaming is key for gaming. I get 10x the views and way more subs. It's weird. I can stream for 2.5 hours and pull 20k views and 1k subs, OR work 6-8 hours on a video, publish it and get 1-2k views and 25 subs. The difference is staggering.
wow that's crazy. Yes, I noticed livestreaming is extremely common in the gaming industry, perhaps that's the reason why many gaming channels do it. I wonder if it will work for the fitness industry, shall try it out. thanks for your help!
#AskDerral I have a question, When I upload a video at the right hand down corner there it will say some changes not yet saved. But I waited half an hour but still it will say some changes yet or were not saved. Please can you tell me why this problem is occurring. But everything is still saved in my video.
All the advice popular TH-camrs give is just the same old recycled bullshit and it does NOT help. It's all, branding, make your channel look professional, make good content, follow the trends, be consistent and so on and it doesn't work. There has to be something else that all the big TH-camrs are not telling us cause nothing seems to work with me I've tried it all. I want this so bad as a job, being a TH-camr who is actually SUCCESSFUL would be a dream.
Jazzy J well, how long have you given it each time? You might be on the right track but these things take time. You have to be patient. Are you uploading consistently? Are you passionate about what you're doing? Is your content consistent? Perhaps you're varying too much. EDIT: Judging by the way your channel looks perhaps you're thumbnails aren't entrusting enough. They look rather bland and do t really catch your eye. Are you filling out your descriptions and tags? Perhaps it's just that no one can fi d you when they search. EDIT 2: I've had a look at your videos again and it seems quite apparent that you aren't making your descriptions detailed enough. You need to make sure you put as much detail in as you can so people can find you easier. TH-cam is a search engine after all.
Not really. Most people THINK they are doing it right, but they are NOT. Most people aren't professional, so they keep pushing them, to make it professional! Most people don't know what professional even looks like! Plus, it takes time. It takes 2-4years to grow any sort of following. Most people quit, most people start and quit. Plus look at ur channels, you are not consistent. Wop, wop.

That is so true that we need to be researching what is trending in our niche. I need to spend more time coming up with different topics. On my channel I have set videos that come out each week but on the other days I need more creative topics that people are searching for.

In earlier millennia, we were referred to as Travel Agents. I've been doing all my marketing out of my OWN soc. security disability which is LESS than $500/mo. Here is my specific question. Obviously, I want as close to HD quality as possible. Where can I get a video cam with quality better than the homemade look that my Samsung Galaxy J3 Prime smartfone will produce, which is all I have right now, and STILL be able to eat and sleep inside rather than on the street?

The serious TH-cam Entrepreneurs we loved this and watch from beginning to end! I have toyed with an idea for many months which i know a considerable amount about and totally passionate about and also can help millions be better. This is amazing. I recently (september 2016) started a gaming channel. Last month I figured out how to make my channel pop and have shot up to 17k from 2k in 30 days.
However, I've been getting a little bored of the gaming channel. I focus on one game, so maybe I just need to change up the featured content, but I cant help to think I have so much more potential to create quality content outside of the gaming world.
If I decide to try new types of content, should I post it on the gaming channel and see how it does? Or should I create a new channel?
What did you do to make that sudden pop?
I started live streaming tournaments for some of the games i feature. Now over 25k. Live streaming is key for gaming. I get 10x the views and way more subs. It's weird. I can stream for 2.5 hours and pull 20k views and 1k subs, OR work 6-8 hours on a video, publish it and get 1-2k views and 25 subs. The difference is staggering.
wow that's crazy. Yes, I noticed livestreaming is extremely common in the gaming industry, perhaps that's the reason why many gaming channels do it. I wonder if it will work for the fitness industry, shall try it out. thanks for your help!

#AskDerral I have a question, When I upload a video at the right hand down corner there it will say some changes not yet saved. But I waited half an hour but still it will say some changes yet or were not saved. Please can you tell me why this problem is occurring. But everything is still saved in my video.
All the advice popular TH-camrs give is just the same old recycled bullshit and it does NOT help.
It's all, branding, make your channel look professional, make good content, follow the trends, be consistent and so on and it doesn't work. There has to be something else that all the big TH-camrs are not telling us cause nothing seems to work with me I've tried it all.
I want this so bad as a job, being a TH-camr who is actually SUCCESSFUL would be a dream.
Jazzy J well, how long have you given it each time? You might be on the right track but these things take time. You have to be patient. Are you uploading consistently? Are you passionate about what you're doing? Is your content consistent? Perhaps you're varying too much. EDIT: Judging by the way your channel looks perhaps you're thumbnails aren't entrusting enough. They look rather bland and do t really catch your eye. Are you filling out your descriptions and tags? Perhaps it's just that no one can fi d you when they search. EDIT 2: I've had a look at your videos again and it seems quite apparent that you aren't making your descriptions detailed enough. You need to make sure you put as much detail in as you can so people can find you easier. TH-cam is a search engine after all.

Most people aren't professional, so they keep pushing them, to make it professional! Most people don't know what professional even looks like!
Plus, it takes time. It takes 2-4years to grow any sort of following.

I'd love to see a follow up on All Our Questions. How is the channel going after six months or a year, has it grown, is Nick still making the videos in advance and uploading at the same frequency? Has he managed to gain some income from his youtube channel to do a bit less graphic design work?

That is so true that we need to be researching what is trending in our niche. I need to spend more time coming up with different topics. On my channel I have set videos that come out each week but on the other days I need more creative topics that people are searching for.

In earlier millennia, we were referred to as Travel Agents. I've been doing all my marketing out of my OWN soc. security disability which is LESS than $500/mo. Here is my specific question. Obviously, I want as close to HD quality as possible. Where can I get a video cam with quality better than the homemade look that my Samsung Galaxy J3 Prime smartfone will produce, which is all I have right now, and STILL be able to eat and sleep inside rather than on the street?

This video is full of content - The people who thumbs down the video are usually very immature audience that is looking for all the silly quirks they are use to in video trends. The serious TH-cam Entrepreneurs we loved this and watch from beginning to end! I actually saved in my special playlist to watch again so I can get the important tips that I might have missed the first watch
