When I was 17 years old a state trooper took me home and told my mother I have severe psychological problems because I was train spotting. Some people just don't get it.
That's unbelievable. Straphangers/ Random people don't understand. I was at Penn Station trainspotting when some employee to me and said what was I doing? I told him im railfanning. He didnt understand so he said don't cause trouble.
Another well done video! These will be treasured by fans in the future, so you are doing a real service to LIRR history buffs. Plus providing some first class entertainment! Again, what about the Main Line from KO to GY? All we have now is a very crappy in-cab film, with horrible camera and sound work. We need a high quality video of the entire Main Line. (Why is now called the Ronkonkoma Branch nowadays???) I'd volunteer to help with filming the Main Line, but I live and work in Pittsburgh, PA, on the "other end" of the Pennsy. I've been riding the Pennsy/Penn Central/Amtrak/LIRR to NC (Peconic) for 60 years plus, and have many memories of the LIRR (but too young to remember the steam locomotives). Keep up the fine work!
Well yesterday I got to wyandanch station to go to the city and so far I saw that a crossover support was added on the 2nd platform area and Pinelawn has its 2nd platform almost complete so possibly the 2nd track will be done and opened by this summer/late fall idk
They are installing PTC on several of the M3s so they can stay for a few more years but they will ultimately be replaced by the M9s. I think it was roughly a 7pm train
Thanks! Very respectable speed, considering all of the grade crossings. Plus a nice incentive to leave the car at home and avoid a good portion of the traffic congestion.
I always love the sound of the M3 Horn and the sound of the ASC Alarm
Pretty dope. My summer goal is to get all the branches like this in daylight.
Do plan ahead. West Hempstead is very hard to get one. I got them on everything. Good luck!
Haha I know. My main objectives are the 4 major ones (Ronk, Babylon, Huntington, Port Wash).
No, it is not illegal, but certain train crews are more friendly than others.
It's not, but it is frowned upon by some people out there. I actually ask from here on out

Really??🤷🤦 Stupid State Trooper!👮🚓🚔 You should've told him that Railfanning & Train Spotting is a thing. Go watch TH-cam!!🙂🙃🚈🚅🚄🚂
Great video, very realistic, love that night ride!
I can’t wait to go to NYC in a few weeks and ride the LIRR to the city
Excellent video!
Nice video. I was on an m3 not too long ago
I've been on the LIRR M3 once from last December 2017, on the Long Beach Branch
Only time i rode this line was in 1977 on the experimental gas turbine powered M1 cars. We went to Calverton . Long ass ride.
anybody came here to see the tunnel?

The entire Main Line
Awesome job
Thank you
Imagine living near a railroad crossing and having to hear these trains blowing their horns all day long...
I was thinking that very same thing a few moments ago. The houses must be dirt cheap by the tracks
@@oceanblue5794 Or anywhere near a sharp turn.....
Not sure if I can handle that racket. A lot of crime also if you live by the railroad.
Any idea when that new second track will open?

Nice....
I saw my hope station of farmingdale
Was this before the Ronkonkoma double track project?
It would be good to show the driver's work as well (the camera is slightly lower and further
5:55 - So can they not make up their minds what side they want the new track on?
Bethpage my home
I love the M3's. hopefully they won't go away till end of 2021 or further.... What time did this train leave Robkonkoma?

Before the double track
Well made video! Question: What is the maximum permissible speed on this route?
80 MPH
Thanks! Very respectable speed, considering all of the grade crossings. Plus a nice incentive to leave the car at home and avoid a good portion of the traffic congestion.
What does "RFW" stand for, please? I only see it on this channel and one subway blog, but cannot find the definition. Thanks!
Rail Fan Window
Very cool thanks
Glad you liked it
Хорошо бы показывать ещё и работу машиниста (камеру чуть дальше)
TSW M3 announced
Excellent video!
