Awesome video especially these days which everybody looking for something to learn. I appreciated.
Each time Im watching a video on your tutorial about lumion I get excited because I don’t have to go through a lot of painful modeling like in blender.. I can start from Sketchup and Lumion with fast tools to make projects better and exciting to sell to potential real estate clients I may be having pretty soon. Very helpful on explaining how to remove the grass and adding external textures.
Blender is so complex it kills the Creative Side of 3d.so many steps and paths you have to Go through just for texture and materials
I wish I could just import all of your Sketchup knowledge into my BRAIN!
Thanks so much you really do teach me a lot!
Really glad you're finding the videos helpful! :)

My honest thought too, Mr Justin is truly vast and knows how to relay these information in very simple and helpful ways.
That "Lattice maker" extension just made my day brighter .... 👍👍👍👍
It's a good one!

And yes! This really help! thank you!
Hello thank you for your enriching tutorial, you are wonderful. Can I have a realistic setting on lumion 9 pro for my photo renderings ?. Thank you
Thank you . You explained nicely ..
Thanks very much!
Thanks for your wonderful videos. Question: does Lumion work on Mac?
Great stuff Justin! Looking forward to the followup of this one. Have you tried out the Live Sync yet? Also, you could have made the standard model invisible in Lumion as well, if you wanted to keep it in your SketchUp file.
Thanks Martijn! Would keeping the original model and making it invisible affect performance? Or does it not affect anything as long as it's not shown? I haven't done anything with Live Sync yet - it's on my list to do next week :)
It wouldn't impact performance in a negative way, perhaps you'll gain some FPS (depending on the material used and how big the thing is you're making invisible).
This is pretty cool!! I somehow stumbled across and I’m glad that I did hahaha. I’m curious to know though, what do people actually use this for? Is it for like real estate developers or what?
It's very excellent 👍
Thank you bro! It's really can help for me.
Glad it helped!
WOW! your videos are amazing! I LOVE IT! Your works are GREAT! I just started my TH-cam channel and hope i can improve my works too!

hi im an incoming 3rd year student of architecture and i'm going to build my first desktop for these kinds of software as well as CAD and Revit, can i build something entry level for about 700 dollars maximum? i don't know what i should get, thanks
Did Some work in Lumion 6 Some time ago. Works just great and it's easy to use.
Thank you for the tutorial Justin!
Thanks Willem! Very easy to use - I'm a big fan! :) Nice to hear from you - how is your Unreal Engine rendering going?
The Rendering Essentials it's a struggle but I am getting there Justin. I probably make the same mistake as you, trying to learn everything at once. Now I am taking smaller steps and actually getting there. The Vitrus learning hub is a big help! I really recommend following his tutorials regarding the basics of Unreal Engine 4. Also some tutorials on materials, master materials and material instances. Good luck if you feel,up to it. Otherwise stick to Lumion it is a great tool, especially for architectural visualizing. Have fun Justin!
It seemed a little arduous to remove the grass but good video anyway...
In what way? It was all removed in about 30 seconds...
Just seemed to still be interacting (visible)with the model you imported . just thought it would be easy if it was more user friendly in this context, Though it is a very good piece of software.
Thank you!
Thanks for watching!
There is no group option for when you double click on the face at around 1:47 in the video. Has it changed?
Hi I just joined Polygon, in which section can one find the materials and bump maps etc?
Good Justin very good.
Thanks very much!
Thanks that's great

Hi sir happy morning, in lumion which version is supported for windows 10, 7th generation i5, Intel
Radeon graphics.8GBRAM, 64BIT
Nice work and nice video too,you are one of the greatest .Justin I have a problem when importing model one in lumion, most of the time in can't see anything visible, sometimes it comes but it remain black I mean all the material I put in sketchup become black in lumion.please can you help me.
No idea - are you applying the materials to the front side of the faces? Have you updated your graphics card settings? Maybe check the material settings to see what they look like in Lumion?
Thank you alot ... i'm following you from Syria . Can you trach us how to prepare the blame for the interior design??

Love the tip about Poliigon.com. I went to the site and it has a drop down menu when you download a material, but Lumion isn't listed. Which one do you choose from their drop down menu when using lumion?
I think I talked about that in this video - th-cam.com/video/MflCNbViy7M/w-d-xo.html

Hi, are you using a wide gamut monitor for post production? Is it worth it having a wide gamut monitor or the standandard srgb monitor is enough for professional? Thank you!
I'm not - I have 3 1920x1080 standard monitors. That said, if you want something that can view things like 4k, you'd need a 4k level monitor...
thanks
I am using Chef Architect 12. Can you do a tutorial for that too?
hello how is the lattice maker owner named so i can download it too please
Hey Justin quick question. I applied a Poliigon texture through vray in sketchup, if I then export it into lumion will it keep its normal and displacement maps etc?
No - Vray mapping does not transfer to Lumion - you'll have to load the normal nap inside of Lumion, and it doesn't accept displacement maps
@@TheRenderingEssentials thank you Justin
Tank you I am interesting to follow you
Thanks very much! :)
awwsome !!

Thanks
No problem!
i dont have lattice properties in my sketchup version

No
please justin ,
i want to know what is the problem when i use lumion and importing any model from sketchup and want to make a change in the sketch up model the re import in lumion didnot wark

I don't understand the issue you're having - did you make sure to save your SketchUp model before re-importing? Did you try LiveSync?
yes i do make sure from saving my SketchUp model before re-importing but i don't know what is the LiveSync?

Is there a way I can bring an image or maybe three one in luminon with a coral effect? I would like for my model to have the porosity even on the edges. Is that possible?
There's some "wear" options for textures, but I don't know about this specific effect

Hello uploaded, I just have 1 question. Is it OK to have 2 rendering apps installed in Sketchup? 1 is Vray and the other Lumion?
Yes - they don't interact in any way

I visited polygon.com but its not obvious where you can find the multi-file material textures you mention. Can you describe where such things are found on the site?
They're included with any materials you download from the site - just check the boxes for the maps you want when downloading.
@@TheRenderingEssentials maybe I have the wrong site? I don't see anyplace that polygon.com is offering downloads of any type of file.

Do you have to separate the material in lumion 9 too?
Yes - that's how Lumion maps materials
