the hearse is coming along nicely the curtains definitely set it off, sometimes a project fights you and it becomes a mission do or die till it's done! keep up the good work and thanks for sharing.
Great build. I enjoyed that. Thanks. Hope it all works out. Just tap on the ejectors. They will free up. You can get them high pressure flushed. Good for spares. Great build. Keep up the good work. 👍 👌. Have a good week.
Sounds like the smart option, not to drive all that way, until the bugs are sorted. But Mabel is a black beauty. Hope to see her running smoothly in the not-too-distant future.
Very refreshing to see you have shown the bits that haven’t quite gone to plan and how you worked out what the issues were and how you dealt with them. You see a lot of car guys on there that put things together and it always works first time every time !!!! Glad to see you work in the real world, I knew you guys would get there in the end, looks the business hats off to you both👍🏻
Mr. B. Here ! 🍩☕️👀😎👍. Sir , I feel your pain . The last 10% is the biggest pain of project ! Me thinks the lady is going to ask for power steering ! I know the feeling my 1958 Olds has brake issues. All in all you sir built a 1950 vehicle that was left for dead ⚰️ . Congratulations !
Mr. & Mrs. Anderson there's always teething problems with a new build, or an older build, or an ancient build, or any build such is the nature of our passion. Course you know that. Good to see Mabel moving. Sometimes I'm glad I still run a carb 🤭. We both loved the Queen's "Ursula" costume ! You'd look good as The Incredible Mr. Limpit ... With sombrero ! 👊🎃👍 Happy Halloween you two & Cheers 🍻
Your my favorite couple on the tube !! The hearse is awesome !! Now its time for power steering and AC for both of you to be comfortable while driving that big awesome beast !! Fantastic build , cant wait to see what comes next , perhaps a 1959 hearse or ambulance ? Hmm , Ghost Busters anyone ? LOL !!
Had an LS once..once!..will stick to my sbc's from now until ever. PS, keep the old working injectors in an easy to get-to place, you'll need one. I had a pro dyno tune mine and was great for a while. Looks way cool though
Man i finally caught up so glad to hear it running love all the progress on it can’t wait to see more videos thank you and your wife for sharing this adventure with us.
Love the new curtains, certainly sets it off well. Shame it wasn’t able to get to the event. Congrats on all your valuable time spent on that beauty 👊👍💪👌🙏🥰🥰💀☠️👻🎃🎃🎃
Bud.. it's your first LS installment you will get it .. your doing better then some guys that have done a few .. looks great keep up the great work ...🇨🇦
Be patient you are just working the bugs out and Mable will be running soon more reliable than you ever thought possible, what an absolutely gorgeous car she turned out to be.
Back in '68 I bought my first car. It was a '52 Cadillac Hearse with the Sayers & Scovill body. On Halloween my mom dressed up as a witch and served "cups of blood" (Cherry KoolAid) out of the back of my hearse. Trick or treaters loved it. Good times for all.
The curse of the hearse. I sympathise. I have the same ' every damn job/modification has to be revisited, ( often more than once ) ' with a Kawasaki motorcycle.
Yup better be safe than sorry, y'all will have many More years of taking Mable out to other events. At least y'all are going to make it to the event with the truck.
When you flashed up DALLAS, and I saw the skyline, the theme music popped into my head. Some nice cars at that show. You'll be there with Mabel next time.
What about a super quiet Stealth exhaust with flamethrowers? Also perhaps future Mabel could have some concealed external speakers to play haunted halloween music on? So many little touches y'all can explore at some point. Congrats to Team Anderson! You two have done a hell of a job! I'd buy you both a drink or ten anyday of the week.
At least Mabel has the rear side windows. That 78 Buick Hearse of mine is a bear to see out of backing up. Hopefully ya'll won't have that problem. The curtain tie backs are a must. I'm guessing being able to see wasn't a problem when you had police escorting you where you were going. Glad she's on the road, and patiently waiting for her coming out party.
@Theoldironworkshop That's for sure. It was tough not having one going to and coming from work. I adapted though. I'll try and send you a picture of it, if you don't mind and I can get my phone to work.
Sorry to hear that about Mabel, but hopefully he'll get her lined out, no doubt sure he will! I was excited to see her cruising down the road, well y'all did a little bit actually so that's something, huh? But y'all be safe and have a good time over there! 👍👍🤙✌️! Damn, kinda looks like downtown Lexington here ( KY).
Hey Old Byron Hi again from the D Mi 😎 USA 😁 thanks for sharing another great video update on the Caddy looking good , congrats on getting it done 😅 🤩💞🔥👍😁😎
Hi...Upon viewing this vid of yours the idea of getting a Hearse for us to own and use IS a great idea. I love it! Excellent vid, by the way. And I mean no disrespect in any way when I say that your lady is quite attractive! No bs!! Lucky man you are with her. I think I will subscribe too. Regards to "Mabel"... 😊 Peace...🙏♐🏹
I almost forgot to mention that if you're going to need any sort of sensors make sure you get factory ones not any of that aftermarket garbage. I know they're a lot cheaper but they do not work and if they do not for long
She's lookin great and in the short time you put into her , I would have still been piecing in the floor metal . lol / Get that lady her power steering before she poison's your breakfast .
Your making progress , the last 10% will take you the rest of your lives😂 and like a house there'll always be something to change or fix. Love the videos and mable ( Ersula looked amaizing if there's any more footage of halloween please share).
The whole reason why I like older vehicles is because i don't have to mess with all of the electronic bs. No fuel injection no computers ECT! Give me an old fashioned fuel toilet (carburetor) any day those are easy to work on!
Me personally, I would've with a 472 or 500 cubic inch Cadillac set up. But I'm sure an LS is what you had lying around. In sure the wife is happy, but you still need power steering 😂. Nice work, compliments to you and your lovely wife.
Last 10% always seems to take 90% of the effort. Keep pushing forward. On modern junk I always pay up for the OEM cam/crank/MAP sensors, even the "reputable" aftermarket brands seems to have everything made overseas today and it ends up being hit or miss...
as much as we all love Mabel .. is there any chance of a dedicated video to the ol’ truck and all the upgrades you’ve made on it? cheers from Australia🍻🤘
Boy, it has been a great ride watching Mabel turn into what she's become...since being dropped off the flatbed. Saddening you had to miss out on your Dallas run and other Hallow's Eve stuff, but the good thing is that with all the work you two have done up to now, the 'light at the end of the tunnel' is obvious. I'm really looking forward to the next 'episode' to see Mabel 'sealed up', the tie-backs installed and the car purring like a kitten with those new injectors. Maybe the back seat and some rollers will be put in as well. Despite the various headaches you've both endured over time working on Mabel, I remove my hat and take a knee. You've done an excellent job and a true testament to your business. But...would you please remove the paint and polish that right hood trim piece? One's chrome, the other black...and it annoys me (like that matters). Congrats L & L. :)
Reality is great to watch guys, yes its a shame Unable Mabel wasnt wanting to play ball but im sure youll turn her into a more than able Mabel with the new injectors etc...a good run out for the truck though...nice to see 👍 I was hoping to see the coffin shaped accelerator pedal Lee...one day maybe?😂
@Theoldironworkshop Oh,sweet...I guess you've had your hands full recently with the real stuff you've been attending to...no worries...looking forward to seeing it!
Rosie the riveter @21:29 what a beautiful smile,,,,you go girl ! If I lived closer I would love to hang out,,,you two are quite the hoot !!!!!
That German blood
You’ll figure it out! Push thru and keep pushing! That’s my effort to keep on going till the project is done!
That is a piece of American automotive history saved Mr Anderson! And a lot of fun!
the hearse is coming along nicely the curtains definitely set it off, sometimes a project fights you and it becomes a mission do or die till it's done! keep up the good work and thanks for sharing.
Yeah, this one has been a real battle.
Ive been waiting on a new vid. Just happen to be sitting here when vid dropped. I Got the Mabel t shirt and love it. Thanks, Keep up the good work.
I appreciate that
I'm so glad yall finally got her going and you finally got to drive her, go girl! 👍
Yes. Sooooo close
Man, your tenacity, determination & persistence is remarkable. The Queen's eyes are also remarkable!
It’s the German blood
NO DUDE YOU MADE US HAPPY THAT YOU ARE WORKIG ON THIS TO MAKE YOUR LADY HAPPY WAY TO GO MY FRIEND
Great build. I enjoyed that. Thanks. Hope it all works out. Just tap on the ejectors. They will free up. You can get them high pressure flushed. Good for spares. Great build. Keep up the good work. 👍 👌. Have a good week.
Hmm. I didn’t try that. Maybe worth a shot
That was really great getting to see her run and drive for the first time. What a great feeling even if she's got a few hiccups. Congratulations!!
It's a labor of love for sure
Sounds like Christine on a good night out. Totally badass. 👍
I watched this whole series and you guys did one hell of a job, congrats you deserve it.
Thank you
Sounds like the smart option, not to drive all that way, until the bugs are sorted. But Mabel is a black beauty. Hope to
see her running smoothly in the not-too-distant future.
Thanks for recording and posting the videos of your incredible project. A great venture for a talented, humorous and entertaining couple.
I'm glad to see you guys are wise to leave her on the drive way
Very refreshing to see you have shown the bits that haven’t quite gone to plan and how you worked out what the issues were and how you dealt with them. You see a lot of car guys on there that put things together and it always works first time every time !!!! Glad to see you work in the real world, I knew you guys would get there in the end, looks the business hats off to you both👍🏻
Great diagnostics, almost got the bugs out, thanks for the entertainment
Mr. B. Here !
Yes. Power steering is on the list for sure
Dude I can't believe you're almost there. And she looks mean... great video
You did a nice job on the hearse , brother.
Looking forward to seeing your next video👍🇨🇦
Mr.
Bahaha. Mr limpit.
You've got some very remarkable skills. This hearse build is without a doubt, a very badass build! Very beautiful!!!
I have enjoyed the hell out of this build. Can't wait for the next one.
LOL !!
Well if I could get the people from the @magnolanetwork to call me back we will hopefully start our home renovation show next year.
You have the patience of a saint
Love it 👍🏼👍🏼
All the small things!! I'm.glad your getting things figured out! If you were here in Ontario Canada your season of driving would be over!
Good to see you guys having some fun.
That’s what it’s all about
Had an LS once..once!..will stick to my sbc's from now until ever. PS, keep the old working injectors in an easy to get-to place, you'll need one. I had a pro dyno tune mine and was great for a while.
Looks way cool though
Followed for quite a long time now
and can only say that I'm impressed.
Amased of your skill, both you and wife !
Christer from Sweden
Thank you
Man i finally caught up so glad to hear it running love all the progress on it can’t wait to see more videos thank you and your wife for sharing this adventure with us.
Damn I Love that Hearse
Love the new curtains, certainly sets it off well. Shame it wasn’t able to get to the event. Congrats on all your valuable time spent on that beauty 👊👍💪👌🙏🥰🥰💀☠️👻🎃🎃🎃
Mabel looks amazing she is alive hope you get her running better have a great week till the next video
God bless America, that says it all
Ahem
Bud.. it's your first LS installment you will get it .. your doing better then some guys that have done a few .. looks great keep up the great work ...🇨🇦
Yeah I hope so
"The pain that keeps on giving"😂
The car looks fantastic ! I would add a back up camera 👍🏽
Yeah I’ve been thinking about that.
Amazing video as always !!! Great set up on the injector testing/ cleaning.
Curse of the Hurse... Love it 💪
Yeah it’s been a rough one.
Be patient you are just working the bugs out and Mable will be running soon more reliable than you ever thought possible, what an absolutely gorgeous car she turned out to be.
I hope so
Great job where to stay humble with the project you and your wife are awesome
Back in '68 I bought my first car. It was a '52 Cadillac Hearse with the Sayers & Scovill body. On Halloween my mom dressed up as a witch and served "cups of blood" (Cherry KoolAid) out of the back of my hearse. Trick or treaters loved it. Good times for all.
The curse of the hearse. I sympathise. I have the same ' every damn job/modification has to be revisited, ( often more than once ) ' with a Kawasaki motorcycle.
Yes and we do this to ourselves
A rear view camera might be a good addition for the hearse
My thought exactly 🤭👍
For sure
Looks great, nice job. All i can say is It takes a big man to start a project. But it takes a huge man to finish it. Congrats
GREAT BUILD ,LOVE IT..
✌️😎👍🇳🇿
She's a little rough around the edges but she’s getting there.
GREAT EPISODE 10/10
Thanks for sharing, always interesting!
I appreciate it
Yup better be safe than sorry, y'all will have many More years of taking Mable out to other events. At least y'all are going to make it to the event with the truck.
Yes. It was a nice drive
a sunvisor would look good to give it that 50s era look! 👀 😮
I like to see that “ARMSTRONG STEERING” when she made the U turn! LOL!
She looks great
It’s turning out grouse, great job 🤟
When you flashed up DALLAS, and I saw the skyline, the theme music popped into my head. Some nice cars at that show. You'll be there with Mabel next time.
I should have played the song
@@Theoldironworkshop Probably get a copyright strike.
Very cool. Good luck with it. Thanks for posting!
Love the old Armstrong steering!
interior looking good........very nice
Thanks
looks great. Hang in there.
She has some Burble in my head phones. Sounds good.
Just s suggestion paint the roof met dark green. Seen a silver top.
Hmm
Excellent video.
Outstanding concept......
Looks great You will get the Bugs worked out it Happy Halloween 👻👻
Teething pains, looking forward to when the bugs are worked over....
Its getting there.!
Yeah definitely going to work on quieter mufflers. These are way too loud. I was thinking of a horn that plays the Adams Family song
True plus I’m sure they had a spotter
@Theoldironworkshop That's for sure. It was tough not having one going to and coming from work. I adapted though.
I'll try and send you a picture of it, if you don't mind and I can get my phone to work.
That car is sooo cool. A wagon caddi? So sick!
I was thinking more like Bardsville
Hey Old Byron Hi again from the D Mi 😎 USA 😁 thanks for sharing another great video update on the Caddy looking good , congrats on getting it done 😅 🤩💞🔥👍😁😎
I appreciate it! She’s a long way from done but she is coming along slowly but surely.
The wife will probably want now air-con, power steering and reversing camera .Good Christmas presents
LOOOOOOOOOVE IT!
Nom nom nom
I'm waiting for Pugsley and Wednesday to climb out the back.
In my early days in music I played in a band (13th Hour) we had a hurse like yours but it was a Buick with a straight 8
Hi...Upon viewing this vid of yours the idea of getting a Hearse for us to own and use IS a great idea. I love it! Excellent vid, by the way. Love da Caddy Daddy!
If it is a fight to the death, you’ve got the ride for it.
1st
I almost forgot to mention that if you're going to need any sort of sensors make sure you get factory ones not any of that aftermarket garbage. I know they're a lot cheaper but they do not work and if they do not for long
Holy hell, I wouldn’t Wanna drive Mabel through Dallas either. I don’t wanna drive anything through Dallas.
No kidding.
It is what it is
Definitely do another video when those injectors come in 🍻
Hopefully of a smoky burnout
She's lookin great and in the short time you put into her , I would have still been piecing in the floor metal . lol / Get that lady her power steering before she poison's your breakfast .
Hydroboost brakes are the way to fly
Yeah that probably would have been better
@Theoldironworkshop i am in love with that car btw
What a car😍😍😍😍
My many years of experience dealing with difficult vehicles, make sure you have mucho insurance for Mabel. She just may be related to Christine.😳
I got Hagerty so I should be good
Mable needs wolf teeth for the grill. Maybe put them behind the grill back lit with green lights lol
That would be killer as a manual👌💯
Cummins diesel with a 6 speed
Your making progress , the last 10% will take you the rest of your lives😂 and like a house there'll always be something to change or fix. Love the videos and mable ( Ersula looked amaizing if there's any more footage of halloween please share).
👍
The whole reason why I like older vehicles is because i don't have to mess with all of the electronic bs. No fuel injection no computers ECT!

It actually came with a 500. But it was totally wiped out. An LS was the most logical solution. As much as I don’t care for computers and electronics.
You should have kept the part of the fence in the car and put it down to like where it's like a sword
Ha!
In de-Fence for Mable..maybe she’s just a little bit shy??
Let me see...Fight to the Death against a Hearse? I'm guessing mere mortals don't have a good track record in that scenario. Good Luck!
Hmm. Probably true
Last 10% always seems to take 90% of the effort. Keep pushing forward. On modern junk I always pay up for the OEM cam/crank/MAP sensors, even the "reputable" aftermarket brands seems to have everything made overseas today and it ends up being hit or miss...
I'm starting to see what you mean
Your funny as hell 🤣🤣🤣
sorry to say. but I laughed a lot when you flew into the fence. but it turned out to be a nice car. greetings from the Netherlands.
Ha me too
as much as we all love Mabel .. is there any chance of a dedicated video to the ol’ truck and all the upgrades you’ve made on it?
cheers from Australia🍻🤘
Yes. Parts on order for it.
Boy, it has been a great ride watching Mabel turn into what she's become...since being dropped off the flatbed. Actually the black portion is where the chrome fell off. One is totally gone and the other is about half. I painted what was left black
May not be running sweet in that first run. But geez mate she sounds good 😊
Reality is great to watch guys, yes its a shame Unable Mabel wasnt wanting to play ball but im sure youll turn her into a more than able Mabel with the new injectors etc...a good run out for the truck though...nice to see 👍 I was hoping to see the coffin shaped accelerator pedal Lee...one day maybe?😂
I actually have a drawn up in CAD haven’t ahad a chance to do it yet.
@Theoldironworkshop Oh,sweet...I guess you've had your hands full recently with the real stuff you've been attending to...no worries...looking forward to seeing it!
Warriors..... Come out to playyyyy...
That kinda sucks about Mabel but to be honest I have always liked the truck
Over all though the car looks great
I’m definitely ready to did into the truck
@Theoldironworkshop you do have a big piece of lawn art lol
Not the wife lol
Have a good week
OK we get your hint. Your making this a drift car.
They way Laura drives it will be
