You work a long time, hard, and then have to let it dry from 6-18 months before you see a return on your labor. Your inventory is crazy. It was a good thing you went to Berts. Still takes a lot of room and work. There is nothing easy about wood but it is satisfying work. I have always loved doing wood. I miss not splitting with a monster maul It was hard but relieved a lot of stress.
Your bowling alley throw/sound @:27 reminded me when bowling was my passion, including two perfect games some forty years ago. Great info on your tarping process.
Great to see deliveries!! Thanks for explaining the upcoming tarping system!! Wood sounded Great sliding out the trailer!! Stay Hydrated and Have a Safe Day
We need a pizza oven customer🤣 Hey how about looking up your billboard tarp connection. I bet if you had a whole one that wasn’t cut up you could cover most of the wood bin at once and just roll it back as you sold wood🤷♂️ Take care Chris👍🏻👍🏻GNI
Hard maple is great wood.i try explaining that to the oak folks.this year the hard maples I removed were Hardee then oak.when removing them there moist and hard so it's hard on saws and generally have school marms or splits that fill up with water dirt and or critters.i broke a few teeth on a stihl brand chain once it waz dry .the 2 biggest trees I had to use 36 inch bar and it was to short.hard work without machines .honey locust is nightmare as well
Nice of you to share how you plan to tarp the wood. I bet it helps other people on how to cover there wood. Thanks for sharing my sticker on your wood processor. Carolina Tractor Worx thank you sir. Have a great day be safe.
Yeah I get it you don't care that it gets wet you just don't want to end up with what is essentially a giant Pykrete block you can't do nothing with till after winter and it starts to defrost/melt
Have you ever used any of the old billboard vinyl for tarp material? I see it advertised a lot for decent pricing. I just didn't know if you have tried it yourself?
Nice video Chris. Hope your firewood corrals pass the "winter test". I've been working on cutting up some dead standing, tree service ash that is "grab ass ash". Tree was killed by carpenter ants not ash bore.
Chris, just an FYI. I don’t know if you are in need of tarps, but I have been seeing used billboard tarps on Facebook marketplace. They come in different sizes and prices. Some are pretty reasonable.
Just looking for your professional opinion, I have 2 cords stacked that I split last spring and left uncovered over the summer, I’m not going to use it until next year, should I cover it for the winter?
Awesome vid that day Chris! Lots of seasoned quality bowling pins delivered! Nice work!! 🔥💯👍. See you soon! Andrew from NB :)
Absolutely!!!
Awesomeness! 👌 ❤ it!!
Thanks!!

IF we did not get a lot of snow that would work but we have found that with a foot or two of snow on it makes it impossible to get off the wood.

Yup!
Not sure what types of tarps you use, but look for used billboard tarps, 1/3 of the cost, super thick and last much longer
Yup, if you watch my old videos with covering wood you will see a lot of them.
Another great 👍 video Chris 😮😊❤
Thanks!
Have you ever used any of the old billboard vinyl for tarp material? I see it advertised a lot for decent pricing. I just didn't know if you have tried it yourself?
