Hi , I have just recently made some Simplicity amazing fit pants (or trousers as we call them in the UK) and they came out really well. I love them. I made mine in navy suiting and they sit just below the waist. Happy sewing.
Beautiful haul! I can sympathize with you! Someone need to close out some of my fabric store accounts as well 😆 I'm really trying to scale back this year. But to be honest, even if I don't buy fabrics and patterns they will still find a way into my home. I have so many friends and family members who send me fabrics, patterns, and gift cards 😆 it's hard to say no 🙊
It's a dilemma for sure. Our family and friends feed our addictions, haha! The way we do our household finances, each of us gets an allowance (after the household bills are paid, money set aside for groceries, etc). We are free to spend our allowance on whatever we want and mine goes to fabric, patterns, garden seeds... gotta get it under control, lol.

What a lovely collection of patterns! I really love the rouching detail on the Simplicity 2898 - may need to get my hands on that one! The slightly off shoulder style is particularly flattering! I'm definitely one to go on a hunt for older designs too - there's just something so lovely about finding fashion styles are just so nostalgic! Thanks for sharing!

I hear ya! Have you heard of that website destashify.com? I've heard several people speak of it recently. It's a way to sell or donate patterns, fabric, yarn, etc. I haven't used it myself, but I might consider it. Thinking of doing a pattern and fabric cull here soon.

Hello! I just subbed after your most recent video (fabric haul). I LOVE collecting fabric and patterns! So many possibilities. And then the buttons and trims!! Such fun! I get a lot of my fabrics at thrift stores. Etsy is such fun to look at and imagine. My cart is always full but I rarely actually buy anymore. It’s fun to imagine.
Hi Laura! Thanks so much for following my channel :) I'm glad you're enjoying the fabric and pattern hauls and I agree with you 100% - collecting is almost a completely separate hobby, LOL! I too have gotten fabric from thrift stores, although it's rare that the thrift stores in my area carry actual yardage. I usually have to buy pieces of clothing, then upcycle them into something I love. So fun to imagine the possibilities and that's at least half the fun for me! I'm planning to do a video soon on pairing patterns with fabrics using pieces of fabric from my stash. Enjoy your fabrics and thanks again!
