Oh my god, I thought I was the only one. When I played both Melee and Brawl I would always let the intros play out before pushing start. It was like a tradition for me, and I always loved it.

Oh _thank you THANK YOU_ for keeping the announcer call of "SUPER SMASH BROTHERS! MELEEEEEEE!!" in there, the intro music would _so not be complete_ without it! Especially having that adorable (yet badass) Bowser in there shouting it for us! Whatever the world may say about Smash Bros. through the years...this is my favorite of the series, and for sure the one I've invested the most time into in my gaming life. You can have your Meta-Knight Brawl, you can have your Smash Ultimate and World of Light (I have put a fair amount of time into that Smash game too, in fairness, I do still enjoy it) - forever will Melee (never forget Adventure Mode!) be _my_ favorite Smash Bros. game. Samus, Bowser, Ganondorf and Mewtwo definitely among my top favorites, here! (Also, my second favorite is the original Super Smash Bros. on N64. A lot of memories there too. As I recall, the only one I ever got to play with friends locally. And it was a _blast_ for sure. Against friends, I always went between using Samus and Ness. Occasionally Captain Falcon. Hah. Such good times...)

This is such an iconic game from the GameCube. And to think it's still considered one of the better Smash games and still played. That Menu 2 is also so special because I was always trying to get it when in the menus
Ditto. It was more special back then, having to back in and out until it happened. now they let you set the relative frequency of every song, but 99% of them are garbage and you just turn most of them off and it's boring.

Oh shit. I actually started crying during this. At first I thought it was just too much Nostalgia and thinking about how much passion and work both you and the original creators put into this but then all the memories came flooding back. The lead up to the release of Smash Bros. Melle was a really dark time in my life. I was suicidal and looking for any kind of happiness to justify going on. As stupid as it sounds I remember seeing previews for this game and thinking "You had so much fun with your friends and family playing Smash Bros. and this looks amazing, at least hang on until it comes out." When the game finally DID release and I bought it I couldn't believe how good it was. It was everything the original had but turned up to 11 with more of EVERYTHING. I just couldn't believe how much work and passion had gone into this game. That, and playing it with my friends, made me realize that there's too much potential in the future to ever make throwing it away worth it. Seeing the work that's gone into this song and seeing all that made me happy way back then again was just too much. Thank You, Jonny. You've made my day.

Menu 2 is one of my favorite songs in any video game. There is just something about Melee's main motif that resonates so deeply with me. Mabye because seeing all the big kids play Melee was what made me fall in love with this franchise before I ever got the chance to actually play it myself. The other main themes are great but Smash 6 has a lot of heavy lifting to do if it wants to beat Melee's theme for me.

Ah Smash Bros, I love its music, but I really love the good memories of playing it nonstop as a kid. You know what I would listen to nonstop, 'Scrap and build ourselves' as a cover, which I request now and on every single video of this or the other channel. That final boss theme was composed by Sakuraba and it's heavily inspired by Chopin's 'Revolutionary etude' it's a very good theme from a musical perspective, but also has a lot of virtuoso passages that I am certain Jonny will enjoy playing. I have requested this 99+ times and I will continue to do so, no matter what. Until. I. Get. It.
I don't know if I could count the hours of my life doing something related to Smash Bros. But that count is going to go up now that this is going in my playlist.
This was THE game that took me out of the clunk 5th generation console era and into what we now take for granted in modern gaming. It was such a jump forward that it took me a whole match just to get a feel for how much more realistically and heavy the characters felt as they moved.

Ah Smash Bros, I love its music, but I really love the good memories of playing it nonstop as a kid. You know what I would listen to nonstop, 'Scrap and build ourselves' as a cover, which I request now and on every single video of this or the other channel. That final boss theme was composed by Sakuraba and it's heavily inspired by Chopin's 'Revolutionary etude' it's a very good theme from a musical perspective, but also has a lot of virtuoso passages that I am certain Jonny will enjoy playing. I have requested this 99+ times and I will continue to do so, no matter what. Until. I. Get. It.

This was THE game that took me out of the clunk 5th generation console era and into what we now take for granted in modern gaming. It was such a jump forward that it took me a whole match just to get a feel for how much more realistically and heavy the characters felt as they moved.
