Never have a seen an opening to a video game as raw as Zero throwing his tattered cloak to the dusty wind and cutting through hordes of enemies backed by the sunset horizon, all the while THIS BANGER OF A SONG PLAYING.

A cool detail about this intro mission is that zero is always in his”heavy damage”animation that plays because he’s been wandering the desert for a year at this point
Departure is one of the saddest, most emotional but also inspiring and epic songs I've ever seen in any game. The sad part is due to the fact that Zero has not had a moment of peace throughout his entire existence, not even when he was unconscious for years he stopped causing problems, but of course, that was not his fault, but rather that of his creator who did a machine of destruction and nothing more. Imagine if it were you in zero's place? When do you realize that your existence was only possible because of someone's ambition? How would you feel? But even so, not everything is lost, because the inspiring part of this song is precisely about never giving up, and fighting for what you believe in, that's what Zero did, he didn't let his “purpose” influence who he is, and that's why That's what at the end of Megaman zero 3 he says: "I am zero"
The intro to Zero 2 is burned into my mind. After a year of non-stop fighting, alone in the vast wasteland that is the world outside of Neo-Arcadia, a broken Zero throws away his cloak and turns towards his enemies, ready for one final push towards his chosen fate. Departure is the music that best represents the Zero series as a whole. Thank you for doing it justice!

This cover is surpassed even the Rockman Zero remastered tracks version!. Thanks a lot for this awesome track!.
First listening to this i was not expecting such a Depa- wait that joke's been made, i mean i wasnt expecting such a unique cover from you. There's something almost magical about the mix between the keyboard soundfont and the very 80-90s sounding echo to the guitar, makes me feel happy...
Happy pancake day!
My god this is such a great cover! One of the best and iconic opening level stage songs in the series. This song also just reminded me I still need to finish the rest of the Zero/ZX games. I have them in my game bag somewhere. Should probably find them. Finally finished updating my request list (not too many changes but definitely places shifted)
Here are my requests:
1. Shooting Star (Megaman Starforce 1-3)
2. The Collision of Thunderstorms (Azure Striker Gunvolt)
3. Battle! Zero Lab (Pokémon Scarlet and Violet)
4. Future Gate/Theme of Hexazeon (Puzzle and Dragons)
5. Bellum Phase 1-3 (The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass)
6. Battle! Frontier Brain (Pokemon Emerald/Platinum)
7. Infinite's Theme (Sonic Forces)
8. Trunks Theme (Dragon Ball FighterZ)
9. Burning Throb/Battle Theme (Trails of Cold Steel IV)
10. Cosmic Clash and Hyperspace Rumble (LunarLux)
