    You have one of the best channels. I really enjoy your general mindset with bows. Very relatable and helpful info.

    Hey brother. 60 lbs. 29" draw 671 grains with 22% FOC. Don't care about my speed so much as guys have been killing stuff for years with much slower bows. I'm dialed out to 50 yards. Have not shot further than that but I would most likely will not take shots that far. With the slower speed, went with the heavier arrows for more penetration. Wish I could pull 80 pounds like you, but that ship has sailed for me. God bless you and good hunting. The Ashy Foundation did do speed erosion tests out to 60 yards using doppler radar. Very interesting results.

    Great info on something we all wonder but don't have the equipment (or kahonas) to verify! BTW, lots of us leave the limb legs on our V3X non-stop. Doesn't seem to really affect the balance and its SOOO convenient.

    Your commonsense tip of using your range finder to set your bow is spot on. Thanks for sharing!!!

    Great video, you gotta get with Ranch Fairy and talk speed erosion with heavier arrows! Great example of how they carry speed MUCH better downrange

    Great video! I’m somewhat surprised at the results. I thought there would have been a lot more loss of speed at the longer ranges. Thanks!

    We have pigs everywhere here in Texas. Couple years back one ran into a ladys house in ftworth. Your situation in Hawaii is different. None of the animals there are truly native except maybe the birds. But anytime the government says they should do something they shouldn't. Their track record for fucking shit up is spectacular. This applies to any government in my opinion.

    • @HuntsT
      @HuntsT ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Actually they are essentially native to Hawaii. Considering no animals are native technically, they are just as native as most of the other animals. Hogs are believed to have come to the hawaiian Islands over 1500 years ago. Hogs are not native to Texas at all except for havalina, and have only been introduced to the America's for less than 400 years.

    Cool video. Definitely nothing wrong with shooting at game at 70 yards. I've killed 2 whitetails does at that distance. 1 at 69, 1 at 70. Also, most people don't consider follow up shots. Although we all pray for the animal to expire quickly sometimes they stop out at long distances to try and figure out what happened. Getting another shot in them could be the difference between recovery and not. Thanks for the video!

    If you can make it take it! Don’t let other people tell you what you shouldn’t do. If they got their head down take the shot because the next move they make is to pick their head up by then the arrow already passed through them!

    Thanks talking about hog stop, I've never heard of it before, until now. Pig hunting is probably my favorite and I recently moved to maui, so I hope they're not using it over there too. Did you hear about hog stop from other hunters on Oahu? That stuff should be illegal. This is from their website, "Mono-gastric and ruminant animals such as deer, raccoons, sheep, and goats may be affected by a reduction in fertility, if eaten in large quantities. Thanks for the content

    The LabRadar is good at this kind of thing, it can chart out to 100yrds. These normal chronographs are picky at where the projectile crosses the beams, and lighting etc. Nice shooting though man.

  • @timbow50

    With your set up and arrows you should never have to worry about penetration on one of those little deer there. I shoot a 510 grain 3 blade fixed on hogs at 62#’s with 28” dl. No problem killing 175-225# hogs. It chronographs at 251 only at 3 feet. Of coarse I’ve never shot one past about 35 yards. Good video again Mr.

    Thanks for the info sir !!!!! A man with nerves of steel, lol. Honestly I don’t know how u got ur crono to read at those distances. I have the same unit and end up shooting 10 or so arrows before I get a good reading at ten foot. Ugh maybe I have a defective unit ….idk. And u are correct about the pig stop. Man should never try to do Gods work.

    You shoot or hunt as far as you are comfortable and accurate that’s all that matters so if your comfortable and accurate out to 70 yards go for it

    Very few does two or three guys that shoot together have the same range finder numbers. My sons is exactly reads exactly two yards farther than mine. And a friend of mine is one yard shorter than mine. Go figure. All three are the exact same units- sig sauer
