Let’s start party ! Thanks Paul for new coin hunt series. I wish this time you find 1950 and 51 and some nice rare coin for your collection and for board.
Welcome back with another penny hunt, I'm looking forward to it. Also nice to see you put some in your Whitman folders, I think you forget quite often.
Thanks Paul for starting another penny hunt. In addition to the 1922 version you mentioned, a reverse C type penny dated 1926 also exists, although it was probably only an trial piece that escaped from Tower Hill - should think the slightly smaller Britannia was used to see if it reduced the ghosting as it would have required less metal to form. I have also seen a slabbed 1926 penny that claimed to be a reverse C , but clearly was not - so the graders don't always get it right!
the stories these pennies could tell, if only. Good to see you back, inspired me to do my own mini hunts, i'm now looking to complete my halfpennies from 1900 to 1967, still a few missing inc 1902 Low Tide. The hunt goes on for both of us. Thanks
Another hunt there always interesting to watch that 1937 penny looks great alot of foreign coins you found your hunts always teach me i found 1918kn without knowing it was a sacred date!
Im a metal detectorist and find quite afew pennies, but being brought up with these during my early years i never really took much interest, but my interest has been greatly increased thanks to your vids. And would love that collection,
I’ve only just discovered your penny videos and I’m loving them! I love old pennies & I never knew there were so many things to look out for. It’s been a real education for me & I look forward to watching more in the future 😊
Thanks for this, I don't know why but watching someone sort through pre decimal pennies is far more therapeutic than 50p or £2 coins! Some lovely finds there
A nice start to your new hunt CP... the 1937 Irish penny was the find of the batch i feel... Where's your dirty coins mug? there was certainly a few that could have clattered into it
I'm not into coin collecting but enjoyed this and putting them into context with births, marriages and deaths of my main ancestors in my family tree, 17 minutes in and five matching years for bmd events. As my mother was 1924 that seems to blow out a full set.
An excellent start to a new hunt. Don't forget to check the 1945(s) for that doubled (trebled and even quadrupled according to the books) 9 in the date. I have enough in the video bank to have a little time off the hunting but keeping an eye out for my next batch.
Hi Paul glad you were able to get some more pennies, If you’re unable to get more pennies in the future, would it be possible to do the same type of video on halfpenny or some other pre decimal coins.thanks again for another great video hope the family are keeping well.J.R.S.
