Always love to see the foreign coins... especially the designs...and the details on the coins and how good they are for many years of circulation.. stunning!!😊
It is amazing to see how much general circulation wear the coins have the older it is. We are only now just about getting there with our modern decimal coinage, some of the 90s and earlier coins are well worn.
Another great hunt. The 1937 was in particularly good condition; it must have been 'lost' down the back of someone's sofa for a good many years to survive in that condition.
Some nice additions to the board with a Smiffy bingo line complete 😊. A very nice condition 1879 . Hope you backed the winner of the Grand National 🏇😁.
Hope you enjoy your pint. That 1937 is a lovely coin. I agree with the opinion that the coronation years/first year of new a monarch are the easier years to find in the higher grades as everyone and their dog put them away whereas the more difficult years are the year after, i.e. 1903, 1938, etc.
the condition of that 1899 is as good as it gets for a regularly circulated coin nowadays.. The 1937 was terrific yet you had two even better in a past hunt. whitman and board coming along nicely
I can remember (just) getting lots of French and Irish coins when you had a win on the tipping point machines at the fairs. You couldn't easily use them in the wider world so they were just more money to spend on the other sideshow machines...
Great to watch, and i have come round to your way of thinking about coin flips, all my best grade pennies are in Whitman Folders now, so much more easy to replace when you get a better quality one. hope you picked the winner at the national.
Some nice finds in this one, Paul. Should think the good condition 1899 and 1937 ( and possibly the 1879, too) reappeared in circulation not long before they were removed again by whoever didn't bother to bank them in 1966. The 1875 must be a Royal Mint and not a Heaton one as the H mintmark is only found on wide dates. Enjoy the pub and the Grand National!
The reasoning for the foreign coins sounds perfectly plausible. Somewhere there's a valuable coin that someone will have let slip through their fingers but it's nice to dream of a Delboy and Rodney millionaires type story waiting to be told after an hour on the penny falls machines. I spy a 1966 or three so the same age as me.
i am still surprised how good a condition some of these coins are when you consider how long they were in circulation. the 1902 low tide is a super coin to find.
I always look forward to seeing you do a penny hunt. You make it fun for a person from the US , and very informative on the coins, which as a collector wish for them😊
Another nice video. That 1899 in fab condition was nice to see.
A good start to another fill the board hunt! Enjoyed the hunt. 1902 Low Tide for this round. cool!

Nice hunt. Have fun at the pub.
Straight into it...eyes down
I love these hunts so much!
Compared to previous penny hunts, there seems to be a shortage of early Victorian varieties so far in this box. Maybe they have all sunk to the bottom
As usual great interest and informative for a newbie..
Amazing hunt as usually, goodluck at the giveaway!
Yay part 2! Board filling up nicely
Lovely 1899 & 1937 one penny in your coin hunt
