1st year of collecting leaves . My garden is surrounded by trees so the other day I got my mower out and put wheels up high and used it to Hoover it up. Neighbours must think I'm mad mowing at this time of year. Saved my back and filled a builders bag nearly and the trees are still full lol. Great idea Linda x
Great idea Chrissie, it's great for us gardeners to have something free and it makes superb compost too! I think my neighbours passing by must think I'm mad too until I tell them 🤭😂 ❤️ xx
Thanks for confirming that Robin. 👍❤ My first time growing walking onions but they were fun to grow anyway. I have some tiny offspring so may pop them amongst something else, just for the fun factor 😂
Hi Linda, wow! Lovely cauliflower & broccoli. Always lots of work to do all year around. Lots of planning for the new season too. You have done quite a lot of planting too. A lovely video. Thanks for sharing and take care 😊
Awww thanks Jim 😊 ❤️ It's the first time I've grown cauliflower and that was my first one! Beginner's luck! 😂 I bet you grow lovely carrots 🥕 though Jim, something I'm still trying to grow properly. Once I do we'll have to have an allotment celebration woo hoo 🥳🎉😂 x
Oh be careful getting leaves off the side of the road Linda it can have oils and chemicals on them. Stick to the grass areas. 😅 then she says we don’t have a lot of cars 😂😂. Your cauliflowers are amazing 😻 I don’t do well with cauliflower in the garden. And the broccoli 🥦 wow great job. I’m leaving some of my flower beds for the bugs 🐞 to,hide in and we will clear those beds fully in spring. I have loads of bulbs to get in this week. Those were definitely lovely gardens ❤. Have an aa week Linda, Ali 🥶☔️🇨🇦
HI Ali 👋 ❤️ It's a quiet road and as there are fields behind that hedge there's rarely any cars parked there and road sweepers come most weeks and clean the gutters, hence I mentioned the leaf thieves 😂 First time growing Cauliflower and broccoli so must be beginners luck 😂 meanwhile I'm still struggling to grow carrots and yet to harvest a good looking parsnip 😂 I had lots of footage of those gardens but only included a little. I probably have enough to fill a video 🤭 Happy planting of your bulbs ❤️
Hi Cheryl 👋 Thank you so much for the Kale, we'll certainly give it a try either for greens on a dinner or Kale crisps. Looks fab planted up doesn't it. ❤️ x
Loved the opening music, Linda, cos I love Reggae. I broke my scissors trying to harvest a cauli a few weeks ago, lol! I need to buy a sharp knife. I did buy a gardeners knife from B&Q, but it is absolutely useless. You couldn't even cut paper with it, lol! The lost gardens look magnificent. I went years ago, before much renovation had happened- amazing what's been achieved, Love your hoop clips- they look so easy to use. I have some black clamp style clips and I hav to be careful opening them so I don't snap them. Happy gardening lovely lady 🙂
Awww thank you so much Be ❤️ I'm so pleased like me you love reggae music, it's so lively and jolly isn't it. 🎶 🎵 I struggled cutting that cauliflower with scissors, I was ages, so in the end I bent it over and snapped it and then cut it. I edited .most of that out though 😂 We did have a knife for the allotment, it was brilliant but one day I dropped it and the blade snapped! We've been going to replace it but haven't bought one yet, it's on the list 😂 Happy gardening ❤️
I usually pickle rose hips. Not this year though due to my fractured leg/knee, luckily I have a few jars left over from last year. That cauliflower looked great. Why not dye the bunting sunflower yellow?🔶🟨🔶 or🔵🌻🌻 Always nice to see you stroll/pot/ work around at the plot while I have a cup of tea.🫖🍵
Pickled rose hips sound lovely Emm 😍 Wishing you a speedy recovery on your leg and knee, sounds painful ouch! Well I have already dyed my Bunting coming out on a video soon 😂 Thank you for your lovely comments 😊 ❤️
Love the bean trellis Linda! You could dye each bunting in different colours. Pick the amount of colours you want, dilute per the instructions and put one of the flags in a little bag and empty the diluted dye in and pop a clip or elastic band on them. I love kale. You can also make crisps with them and season them with different spices. Take care.
@AnyKeyLady thank you ❤️ The bunting would look pretty different colours. I was also thinking of tie dying the flags but by the time you buy all the different colour dyes and time involved it would be cheaper to buy some new bunting 🤭 so I'll probably stick to one colour this time round even though it wouldn't look as nice. I love your idea though 👍😀 Kale crisps sound lovely. If we're not fussed on eating cooked Kale then we'll definitely try the crisps, thank you 👍❤️
I did think of that Jayne thank you ❤️ I've never done any tie dying before but looks like it might be a bit time consuming. The results could look amazing though, maybe something to think about for the allotment at a later date. 👍😀
Wow lovely garden you visited - so many dahlias!! You’ve inspired me to find a garden to visit tomorrow on my day off. Hopefully I can find one with a veg patch🤞🏻
Thanks Dora ❤️ I had loads more footage of the Lost Gardens of Helligan and left some lovely bits out, I realised afterwards 😳 They had a kitchen vedgetable garden there too. If you're ever near St.Austell in Cornwall go pay it a visit, you'd love it there Dora. Hope you find a nice garden to visit tomorrow, enjoy your day off ❤️ x
What type of roses for rose hips??? Have you thought about filming how to create rose hip wine and or tea??? . And how to prepare Rhubarb ,...and cooking of Rhubarb pie.. etc.
We used Rosa Rugosa Rose Hips, but I believe you can use any Rose Hips, but please check first if you do use Rose Hips for anything. Doug mentioned cooking something or making something, too, but I'm reluctant at the moment Thanks for your input and Happy gardening ❤️
@ yes they flower the 1st year and you do. I don't dig mine up ever! But I have to say the second year they are spectacular! But you get tons of flowers year 1
Thanks Elizabeth ❤️ Thank you for your input, I'm still drawn to yellow too. I was thinking the same, should I just buy more bunting for the allotment instead 🤭😂

Excellente vidéo, les choux sont vraiment magnifiques.
Merci pour ce partage
A bientôt
Thank you so much ❤️
That cauliflower was a whopper! I made cauliflower cheese with today. It was yummy 😋. Thank you for posting another interesting video. 😊
Thanks Sheryl ❤️
The cauliflower has been used twice and there's still some left in the fridge 🤭😊 x
Marvy cauliflour.
I really didn't like the walking onions either. Regular annual ones have so much more flavor.
Thanks for confirming that Robin. 👍❤
My first time growing walking onions but they were fun to grow anyway. I have some tiny offspring so may pop them amongst something else, just for the fun factor 😂

@Feelgoodgardens I've got a carrot bed purely for carrots so I try Linda lol 50/50 success , look forward to see how you get on xx
Great upload Linda, the plots are looking good. The cauli is fantastic 😊
Awww thanks so much Cheryl ❤️ x
Loved the little tour of the lost gardens of Heligan . Mighty fine cauliflower there Linda, my specimens look more like golf balls.
Awww thanks George ❤️
I can grow cauliflower it seems but still struggling with carotts 😂

Awww ... Thank you very much Dave. I really appreciate you saying that 😊 ❤️
@ take care
❤
😀 ❤️
You could tie dye the bunting, so that you get patterns, rather than a plane colour
I did think of that Jayne thank you ❤️

Wow that's brilliant, do they flower the first year and then have tubers? 🤔
Dug some of mind up today that I grew from seed and yes they have tubers 😃
@TheBlueShedGarden Wow that's brilliant. I might give it a go, thank you 😊 ❤️
