Doubt she was sober. About to go on a TV panel show? I reckon she'd have wanted a bit of a buzz. With respect, this is all part of the misconception that if you're not lying in a gutter in your own poo you probably don't have a drink problem. Part of the reason why people still get invited down the pub even when theyve told their friends they have a drink problem is that they don't behave like a stereotypical alcoholic. Amy was probably either drunk or a "functioning" alcoholic most of the time. I heard she'd go weeks off it but probably not when she had to do things like go on TV.

Amy Winehouse is a musical legend, i wish people would stop slating her all the time, just like many others, shes had/got problems and issues with her confidence. Shes just a lonely and misunderstood young lady like plenty of other people i could mention. Shes has a fantastic voice and shes very talented. My heart goes out to her. I would love to be one of her friends. She hasnt got a bad bone in her body.

Max Splodge, at a gig in Port Talbot, South Wales, decided to do the 'hilarious' joke..............."What's the Welsh national vegetable?................Johnny Owen!!". Johnny Owen was a local world-class boxer who'd been hit into a terminal coma two days previously. How Splodge got out in one piece seems to be a miracle. The fact that he's posing on a TV show like a proper has-been proves that he did. The arse.

@@carmenxxx weed isn't a negative. It's probably what kept weight on her as it does for many people struggling eith eating disorders. She quits weed in 2005... same time she lost weight. See the correlation? But yes she still suffered from bulimia at that point and smoked cigarettes which wasn't good. From a smoker

@marisssa1988 you don't HAVE to pay a TV license if you own a laptop and an internet connection.
What we're watching now is not being broadcasted, so it isn't covered in the TV licensing T&C. You only need a license if you receive live broadcasts (as you're quote said "watch or record TV as it's being broadcast"), whether it be via a TV or a computer through a TV card. Stuff like youtube and IPlayer doesn't count.
I love that one, i always think of - "Did you just spit? :O"
That's why I like her better in recent years than here, even though people think she looked better. Nowadays she has some problems no doubt, but her new edgier look is better I think, as is her personality, she just doesn't give a fuck anymore.

Maybe after she got real bad, she may have been horrible to some, but I think that was the drugs talking. I've been watching videos of her all day and from what I've seen, signing autographs, talking, she was very nice. She was so beautiful until the drugs took over. What a shame for her to be taken. Only those willing to help themselves can get help, but they have to admit they have the problem. If they can't admit it, u can talk all u want, they have to help themselves. RIP Amy

To be fair, you pay a TV license for the TV, not the internet. Also, if you use the BBC Iplayer its completely free of adverts, it seems to me its a TH-cam thing, not BBC.
TH-cam must realise that all the BBC videos are going to be pretty popular, so they'd get mondo bucks from advertising on these videos.

@BumBiscuit0 also, reading your previous comments - sounds like you got hussled into paying it. If someone said to me I had to pay a TV license because I connected my PS3 through the broadband I'd tell them to politely F off. Get a solicitor involved if it came down to being fined.
