Thanks for all of your hard work and preparation. I just ordered the CKLVX for $138.00. The faceplates are so beautiful, too. I can't wait to get them! Thank you.
@@JoseFerreira-zb7wh No! I'm waiting for the Spring Sale at Ali that (hopefully) should come in March. People might try messaging Myers Audio Store first before ordering. Myers has 2 listing pages for the CKLVX, one for ~$154, and the other for ~$159. ??? - Beyond me. I'm also waiting for Tony to review the Sliivo SL41, and the other CKLVXs he mentioned. I wonder if the Sliivo SL41 will be the same as the CKLVX SL41 (?). The SL41 is said to be a very different "monitor" tuning. Sorry about the price SNAFU for you.
Great review. Thank you! I’m curious - are the cables from the Pula02 and D41 interchangeable? I’ve noticed the Myer-Audio IEMs have a non-standard 2-pin recessed slot. I haven’t found any cables outside their store that works with their IEMs.
The Honest Audiophile did a review on the D41 and seemed to like it a lot. Some comments asked if it was basically a cheaper Tea 2 or Hype 4, and the general consensus seemed to be yes. I only bring this up because of how he had ranked the hype 4 above the Studio4, which is a set I have but some things about its sound have gradually become a "meh" experience for me. First of all, i think the bass on the Studio4 is chef's kiss though the Juzear 41t having a DD for a similar tuning does sound a tad more "complete". I also feel the mids on the 41t are more "aggressive" in tonality the way i like, so snare hits in metal songs (or guitars in general for that matter) have a greater sense of rawness. But then the Studio4 has this smoothness to the treble that limits cymbal strikes and guitar "bite" to mere pitter patter of details, which makes brighter sounding songs (even something like "I Want You Back" by The Jackson 5) sound kind of dull or even sloppy. I would think the D41 and/or hype4 have the "snap" that the Studio4 lacks but i don't know for sure. At this point I'm willing to give up the Studio4's technicalities a tad if I'm getting a more versatile presentation out of it. A studio monitor imo (especially a 400 dollar one) shouldn't have to play it this safe in the highs is all I'm saying. Spinfit eartips (cp145) do bring in that missing excitement but ehhh. Sadly the 41T wouldn't fit my right ear so that's why I'm not using them, and they sound better with those Spinfit tips too but still can't get the right bud to stay in place- probably because of how little the "wing" of the shell is pronounced (the aful p5 and Studio4 fit me perfectly, for reference).
I'm taking your suggestions into consideration. I can't decide between PULA PA02 and HYPE 4. My goal is to listen to music and play games. I will use it in my live broadcasts on Twitch. Which one do you think would be more suitable for me?
Pula02 has great tuning but for games there is some narrow staging impressions, the hype4 is a different presentation probably with improved technicalities on the bass. Pula/cklvx price are awesome (you get close to 350buck sound if not better if you listen to the competition in that price range)
@@nenadcavoski7271 I assume you mean CKLVX D41 and SL41.....both are excellent.....but SL41 is perhaps a little more coherent and realistic. Difference is not however monumental and will depend on your musical preference
Ive been looking to buy another pair iems and couldnt decide between mega5p ultra, performer 5, chopin, nova and now this d41. Which one would you recommend out of these?
I cant decide between D41 or Dunu falcon ultra. I dont know if is worthy the money gap. I am bass lover(no basshead) and mainly listen 2000's rock/numetal, thanks in advance
Perhaps iI was not clear in my explanation, for which I apologise.....I said that the price was 138usd...which is slightly lower than the usual. No additional discount , other than this reduction. Now if you live in the EU , the price is subject to a EU import tax. My apologies for the confusion.
hi I would like to ask you a question and get your opinion, would you choose between these 2 iem the pula 02 or the cklvx I am a big fan of your reviews thank you
I would go for the CKLVX D41 because it's cheaper .....they are in essence the same. But if you wait a few days I will review the new 1+4 from CKLVX ....which potentially is the right and best one to go for.
I owned the P5 and I'm now maining the pa02, the tuning is very similar. P5 has better staging, sub-bass but is more congested in the vocals. Comfort is better if P5. Pa02 is less technical on the bass (less impact of bass) Technicals are close but P5 with its uneven treble could sound less resolving in that vocal region (fixable with EQ).
My favorites so far were TRN T-Ear Tips on S size. Smaller size allows a deep fit and makes these bigger IEMs super comfortable. TRN T-Ear Tips make vocals more present in the mix, project a bigger sound stage and give a slight boost to mid bass, which in my opinion complements very well CKLVX D41. Be aware, ear tips are a very personal choice, what works for me might not work for you.

@@matisa2190 They are not upgrades. The CKLVX is warm neutral with great bass. Great for my Hardcore and works even better with everything else. The SLIIVO is bright neutral with lots of air. Great at picking up details. Has a nice bass kick but less than CKLVX. One problem is present with the SLIIVO. You NEED high quality music files or else the music will sound horrible and too airy. A good quality Dac is also highly recommended. That is how detailed the SLIIVO is.
